Montgomery Regional Airport & Maxwell AFB Airplane Spotting 2020!

New state, new airports! This time my spotting venture brings me to the Montgomery area in Alabama, were there are two particular airfields that were worth visiting.
And so, I bring you a spotting video @ Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM/KMGM) and Maxwell Air Force Base (MXF/KMXF)! Spotting in 10/20/20, this features pretty much a civilian airport with a lot of military activity, and a military airfield with its activity. The reason for visiting Montgomery was for the 187th Fighter Wing and their F-16s, especially their Red Tail special livery, and boy was I lucky enough to see just that. The 187th will soon be transitioning to the F-35s so I had to see them while I still could. And as it turns out, a lot of military aircraft from other nearby bases happen to visit this airport a lot and even work on the pattern. If you ask me, this airport is quite a hidden treasure for military spotters.
Originally, I did expected to spot at Maxwell Air Force Base since the only flying unit based there barely flies their reserve C-130H. However, when I went to Maxwell for lunch, to my surprise I found that there were at least three different C-130Js from Little Rock practicing pattern work, with one of them having a special livery! So I didn't let that opportunity slide, and ended up recording a few of the C-130s there as well. This is awesome, I lived on that base when my dad was in the service back in 91. I miss watching them c-130s down there.
