One thing I like about this anime a lot which makes it so good is that all the characters have very distinct personalities that are not two dimensional imo which helps keep you invested in each and every scene that happens throughout an episode.
Just a thought but what if a certain Demon brought him to that world and planted certain ideas in his head about the Cult, how to "cure" possession etc. Just to free her and she'd already picked Claire out?
@amansrivastava7683 Agree about the finale but the big fight may have been necessary to explain Iris's character arc. The ln is a little darker on most things, the manga a little lighter. I wonder how they'll handle John Smith. But definitely looking forward to season 2 and to ln 6.

the funny thing is he could easy be seen as the villain or the hero. one there doing cruel things in the pursuit of immortality for 1000 years + some and the fact is it does not work but they keep trying because they can't help but try. is the cause worth the sacrifice I would say yes but they know it will not work without the demons help but they keep doing it anyway. that is more or less how shadow garden came to be the demon does not want to help at all because she would more or less be used as a permanent blood bank to keep all humans semi immortal. its looking like the real way to be immortal in that world is buy hellish training everyday with all that magic and muscles coursing through your veins it more than likely would stop the aging process or at least allow it to be controlled. if the training was that extreme most people wouldn't do it. witch is why they have been trying to make a potion for it for so long. really is he right or wrong I would say he is gray. an there fighting in the gray. its also not like they can tell the masses about that because if they did it would put a full stop to humanities tech an they would regress back to the stone age's. can't really pick a side. because both sides make to much sense to their actions. both sides are right and wrong at the same time.
