Happy to say that Deng Ming-Dao has become an inexhaustible resource for me. Having listened to a number of his talks and taken several of his courses, I have to say he is the best speaker I've ever heard at Question and Answer. Listening to him put his full effort into providing an insightful and authentic answer to a question is the same as listening to someone create beautiful art on the fly.
Daoism is not brand new to me, but I am new to the teachings of Deng Ming Dao. I very much appreciate how down to earth and grounded his teaching is which makes it that more relate-able and therefore do-able, to implement in life.
Thank you for this lecture. I have invested is some new books by this lovely man. I appreciated the idea that life is going well when the good slightly outweighs the bad, it also makes me appreciate how easily that balance can tip. So I must be mindful of that. When I walk down the hill to town when there is ice on the road, its not the ice that causes a problem but the slight incline.
I recall in his book '365 Dao' some advice about paying special attention to the legs during exercise. Yes I have found that to be most important...legs come first, like the foundation of a house!
The abstract (Heaven) called Love can be expressed concretely (Earth) as a hug, smile, etc., thereby uniting Heaven and Earth. Every choice we make generates a corresponding timeline of experience. Is the resulting narrative a limit or a creative guideline? No wrong answer - only another choice. The Rhythm of Life is a movement and a rest. The optimum (Heaven), is always found somewhere between the extremes of too much and too little (hell). Pleasantness is the Rose found at the Heart of the Optimum. Just so. Narrow is the Way and straight the path, and few there are that find it. 'Now' is the presence of the eternal/infinite within the temporal/finite. Now is constant. Perception is variable. The time of day is always Now. Tao = an integral Way of Being, Knowing and Doing.
I follow the scientific method, but I do not judge if someone chooses not to follow science, because a individuals ability to not follow science is the same as my ability to follow the scientific method. One cannot have one while withholding one to another. I honor your choice because I honor my own
Pollution during covid lockdown was worst then normal everyday life because of more ship deliveries n ruining patterns of sea… instead of fossil fuels on land .. covid pollution is a problem… I am not saying we do not pollute the earth, I believe in leave no trace… or as little as possible through conversion but pollution was worst during the pandemic you just weren’t outside to see it… especially those charged storms… carbon dioxide makes trees grow by the light of the fuel it gives and these trees produce oxygen. Oxygen is blue green as trees reflect green carbon by converting through consciousness growth to produce oxygen… and hydrogen is orange n reddish, that is why the sunset are orangish red because less particles from our vantage point interact with the light from the sun … less particles means more Surface area is covered and reflected to us, thus making a clearer color distinction based on the elemental spectra lines
I was raised a "Holy Roller" Pentecostal firebrand type of Christian..from there i experimented with Islam, Zen and Tibetan Buddhism then eventually back a few times to the embrace of Christianity...But somehow The Tao has always been a siren call to my heqrt, mind and soul... Now I'm older and i understand ....it could not have been any other way .... Such is my understanding of this Tao❤❤
We left California in the middle of the pandemic. We followed our nature.
Very good decission!

What is science?
How can you find Dao when you are part of Dao ? 😂
You can’t really find Dao. You can only be Dao.😊
Everyone understands Tao differently.
