I'm for then getting Joe Craddock. He'll bring a much more physical pro style offense than Arbuckle and his spread offense. And he'll bring a solid QB. We need Craddock. Plus, Joe and BV were on the same staf for a short time at Clemson.
I think Parker and BD do an excellent job covering the team and recruiting but it's takes like this that show these guys don't know ball. Mullen would be a 1 year rental, doing that would cause OU to miss out on an OC currently on the market. Arbuckle is a good coach but lacks experience in the SEC, he's too big a risk. Mateer wouldn't make sense because if OU did that, they might as well have kept Gabriel around for another year. OU needs an OC that has SEC experience and has coached quarterbacks. If you want to compete in the SEC, you need coaches that have that experience and how to be successful in the SEC. Halzle or Coley would be ideal hires for me, they've been in the SEC awhile, they'll likely stick around and understand the gauntlet that is the SEC.
Well, it works pretty good for Tennessee. The air raid and Josh Heupel is the head coach which he’s the one that kind of implemented the air raid at Oklahoma if you remember he was the start of it. but no matter what offense you use if you have the right players, you can implement anything and it’s great to get great players cause you need good players but if they commit and then there’s not a dang thing you can do about it so why cry about it just move on the transfer port naysayers are just terrible. You would find fault with the rise of the sun and the sunset. The crack of dawn would be dangerous in your eyes and hands and mouth.
I just don't know why so many people want Arbuckle when Joe Craddock is right there with a more consistent offense and a more creative offense than many others out there today. It's not just RPO central there's so much more to it.
How about we just get the best man for the job? All our current coaches who care about OU, how are they doing? Time to get away from the family aspect and treat this as the business it really is
The good ole boy system ingrained into OU has been killing us for over a decade. Let's hire this guy cause he's a friend or this guy he's a yes man this guy because he's young and unproven. Golf buddies drinking bros....Let's just settle on a coach again rather than prove we are serious?
You guys still pushing mullin after he said it was a no-go last yr!! You guys click hustlers he also said the person has to finish out with their player's.
Do you really blame the kids for looking elsewhere after a season like we have had. Seeing that the decisions that have been made by the head coach hasn’t been the greatest. I feel for BV because his wife is going through and having to deal with all this pressure can’t be good.
I don’t understand why that choice appears to be a bad one to you…these are both damn good offensive coaches, two of the very best available in the country really. It’s what we should’ve done last year instead of promoting within. So why fire BV when his D and special teams are killing it, and his offense is one good hire away from being dangerous again?
Arbuckles offense at WKU was great. Finished 7th in total offense, 15th in scoring offense and 2nd in passing offense in 2022. In 2021 he helped the OC at WKU put together one of the craziest passing attacks in NCAA history. breaking both passing yards and touchdowns records in a single season with almost 6,000 yards passing and 62 touchdowns. As of now Washington St. is 9th in the country in total offense, 9th in scoring offense, 19th in passing offense and 43rd in rushing offense.
The only drawback to the air raid offense these days is that defenses, especially elite ones, have gotten very good at scheming against them. Nowadays, especially with iterations like the 4-2-5, defenses can keep up with the speed of the skill positions in space while also still defending against wide, set off offensive lineman, and a running game from that. That said it’s still a very potent offense. Just look what Heupel at Tennessee is able to do. He’s found a lot of consistent success with this scheme.
I have followed Fasusi for over a year and even when the talking heads said he was going to Texas before he committed to Oklahoma, Fasusi himself said that coaching character and school culture were extremely important to him and his family. With all due respect to our rivals, if Mike was sincere then OU should be much higher on his list, because we have true character and great culture. College football fans are fickle and shortsighted. Five years ago UT was struggling and Sark was a smart guy with bad habits and without a big assist from Nick Saban he could have been completely out of football. Character matters, OU is a blue blood program and Mike Fasusi’s parents know what is best for their son. Boomer!
Mullen believes he is better than BV , and won’t be his coordinator. BV has not succeeded as a head coach by any stretch. Why are people surprised recruiting or assistants won’t be so forthcoming
They are trying to spend 275 million on facility upgrades...... Givr Dan mullen 40 Mil of that and put the rest into NIL and over the next 4 years you WILL win a national championship
Stop!! His wife is going through a life threatening condition… he has no energy because there’s something more important than college football… a football game!!!! A game!!! We got to be better!
Everyone is way way too pessimistic. This season is a disaster but was a disaster for a variety of off the field issues. Bad OC pick, poor qb development, insane injury issues, no player continuity and poor execution, insane turnover issues... all make for a devastating impact. A few pf these things break OU way they are sitting at 7 and 3. Probably end 8 and 4. Still disappointing to a degree but not devastating.

John Hoover is never afraid to ask the tough questions.
Fasusi’s actions speak much louder than his words on X. He is gone people.
Fasusi found a loophole by going to 2 Texas games. He’s acting liking he’s in Texas A&M, but really visiting Texas at the Texas Texas A&M game
Image this:
We get Ben Arbuckle
Michigan gets Mullen
We play each other next season. 😳
This is NOT good, I don't trust Bedenbough to hold on to a Top 5 Star recruit to save his own life.
I'm for then getting Joe Craddock. He'll bring a much more physical pro style offense than Arbuckle and his spread offense. And he'll bring a solid QB. We need Craddock. Plus, Joe and BV were on the same staf for a short time at Clemson.
Arbuckle is another air raid bro.. WHY!!!
EXACTLY! We need to evolve. Not do the same thing over and over and over
They score points
At 7 minutes he discusses Bedenbaugh and the offense as if everything is ok.
Texas SI writer has an article out that said “Brent blasted 5 star committ Michael Fassui for visiting Texas “not committed””
Jessie put it all on the line this episode, begging for some mean hand cramps the way he held that microphone the entire show. Ice up young fella
The mass exodus is troubling
Could Brent resign??? Weird vibe in that press conference
We need to prioritize the run game… crazy that isn’t even considered after what we saw Michigan do last year
brennon marion
No more tight end jet sweeps?
If I remember correctly, us Sooners fans couldn’t even stand the air that Mullen breathed after 2021. Complete despair is what we’re experiencing.
Arbuckle or Craddock hopefully I don't hate the idea of Mullen but not thrilled either
There is a reason Mullen is still broadcasting.
I like craddock

Arbuckle runs air raid. That’s what I’m most worried about. Does that work in the sec?
It’s similar to LR which worked fine against GA.
Leach was 36-19 at lowly Miss State with his offense and lowly defense in 20,21,22.
Imagine at Oklahoma and Brents D
It would work fine if you got the athlete's. It's ALL about the athlete's.
@@justwantmyrugbackLR was winless in the playoff?!?! Why don’t we try to run and be more physical??? OU is soft
Joe C and Brent need to go
I’m in the mindset of Craddock would be better. Pro style offense.
Mullin is not taking an OC job
Didn't they pull an offer a kid who committed, then took an official to Oregon and another one to Illinois? Or am I wrong?
Mullen or Arbuckle? Neither.
I think it’s Arbuckle or guy at Tulane.
Arbuckle and hopefully he brings Mateer!

From what I have seen Craddock is going to Florida St. which is fine, I wasn't sold on him anyways.

Well we just spanked Alabama so we will see how it goes at lsu
its BV hires another stupid air raid oc he will be fired at the end of next year and go down as the worst coach in OU history
Why go play Alabama because Joe Jon Finley does not have a chance
