The 2 armors and the shield are all good options (sadly, can only craft two). I agree the weapons aren't worth it, they get outclassed very quickly in act 1.5 and in early Act 2.
I only had two pieces of mithral and I had a gut feeling that the weapon this wouldn't be as good of an option as the armors so I went with the medium armor and shield and was very pleased.
You can knock Minthara unconcious, still steal her stuff (though no parasite) and you will see her in Act 2 and possibly get her as a "good" companion. You can also still steal her weapon and armour I believe
So many people seem to sleep on keeping the "Idol of Silvanus" instead of giving it away. Keeping it in your inventory gives you an arua buff of "Silvanus' Blessings" which is a condition that gives everyone in 25ft proficiency in "Nature" & "Animal Handling". Which granted aren't the most uned proficiencies. But still cool.
DO NOT TAKE A LONG REST JUST TO REFRESH A MERCHANTS INVENTORY. just respec your character at withers (you can steal your money right back and he doesn't even care if you fail and he catches you so just keep trying until you get your money back) merchants refresh every time you take a long rest, respec anyone, or level up even a single character once.
I have more money than I can spend just from selling weapons and armor. $10k+ in act 1 after buying everything I want. No need to pickpocket. Just fight and send everything to camp to sell later.
I found out it u make karlach thief and barb , and give her the legendary trident from jungle u can end up with 4 throws that deals aoe dmg, and the trident returns every throw , so ye try this out its rly rly good
The battle right outside the druid grove when you first enter. The head goblin drops gloves that give +1 to slight of hand. Astarian uses them the whole game.
2 items for Emerald Glade: #1 if you sneak by Dammon you can steal a +1 Breastplate from a crate, you will need to pass a DC15 persuasion/intimidation/deception check to keep it #2 you can still get sorrow if you betray the glade, you will need to talk to nettie when you first enter the druid's cave to rescue the girl from Kagdah and ask her for help, she will open the library door for you to have "a private talk" and give you a wyvern poison... then when you betray the glade you kill rath and he drops the wolf plate and with the library open to you you can still open the hidden stash to grab it
Actually you don’t have to talk with Nettie at all, just go full on murderhobo and take her circlet-then stand by the closed door and equip it, it will open since that is the “key” that she uses. Avoids triggering a fight with the grove early and some companion disapproval for agreeing to her terms.
Blurg also sells the Psychic Spark amulet that lets you shoot an ADDITIONAL missile dart when you cast magic missile as well as cast magic missile at 3rd level once per long rest. You may have to rest or level up to refresh his inventory.
I gave the Everburn Blade to Karlach and still use it in act 3. I would also recommend getting the Spell Thief if your character is a caster of any sort that can use Longbows (High Elf or Wood Elf for Longbow proficiency regardless of class. Bards, Clerics, Druids, Eldritch Knight Fighters, Paladins, Rangers, Arcane Trickster Rogues, Sorcerers, Warlocks, and Wizards). It may be just a level one spell that can be regained with it once per short rest, but in act one that level one spell can mean the difference between victory and tpk.
My astarion is really a full ranger now even though he's technically full rogue. Hits like a truck with this one feat for bows I think it's called all in?
@@aeriagloris4211 Sharpshooter. It's a great feat. It subtracts 5 from your attack roll (excluding nat 20s) and adds 10 to your damage. It works on Crossbows as well as Long and Shortbows. I haven't had a chance to test it (will roll a Dex build archery fighter for the extra feat at level 6) but at least in the tabletop it pairs nicely with crossbow expert. And the extra 2 damage for the archery fighting style isn't really worth it imo. It does help though.
@@cmwinchell the +2 from Archery Fighting Style isn't to damage it's to attack rolls. It's the most powerful thing you can choose for an archer character after sharpshooter since it literally removes almost half of the hit penalty that sharpshooter places on you.
@@CAiNiAC my mistake. You're completely correct on that one. I still don't take the Archery Fighting Style unless I roll an archery build Fighter (and then at level 10 when you get the second fighting style). I don't see the bonus as really advantageous since your proficiency modifier increases as you level and you should have at least +1 if not +2 weapons by level 10.
@@cmwinchell all good, I've been wrong about plenty myself. Though I have to disagree about its value. If your characters primary source of damage is ranged then archery style should be worked in somewhere. It's just too good, doubly so for pairing with sharpshooter. It's better to go further positive into hit rather than just look to negate the -5. The biggest increase to damage is minimizing misses. In my last honor mode I gave Shart 2 lvls of cleric and 2 of ranged at the beginning. That with a plus one bow and she's actually one of the most reliable party members for consistently hitting while being able to be a bless bot for the other 3 to do the same.
Sneak up on githyanki patrol, quicksave, and have somebody cast drop on the dragon rider (leave rest at camp or they will die). When it finally works, sanctuary yourself, pick it up and then flee from combat if possible. You know have a +3 greatsword with stupid high attack and is even better if your melee is a gith. It will take luck, its a 9-12% chance
If you're near the start of the game and you can pass the conversation to get Lumps war horn, go straight to the Gnoll fight with Flynt or the Paladin fight for Karlach. Both enemy groups do a ton of damage and can wear out the ogres if not kill them outright
Good video, my only complaint is that it’s kinda everywhere it would’ve been cool if you rearranged em so the viewer could do them in order, almost like a guide.
Orcs are not scammers, you can scam them much harder :D Promise them money, and you can call them twice and after second fight they will ask for the money or die trying to get it... pure profit with no payment.
For the ogres, the bosses of the goblin camp do a great job of killing most them. You can finish the last ogre in the courtyard where the chicken race began. They can swarm the ogre and you can then drop some dagger swarms or fireball on the lot of them.
You can reset by reseting your character level and each time you level up they reset and also get their gold back and scale with level meaning, you can steal all their gold. Example astarion rouge with sleight hands, cats grace, and other buff can steal the same gnome npc in emerald grove over and over and over and thats how I never run out of money. Then I buy yes BUY all his arrows and in the underdark there are 2 npc that sell mats for elixers of STR and mats plus suspensions. So far I have 40 elixers. I only steal from the Gnome because he is super easy.
That sounds incredibly boring, imagine finding this fun instead of just playing the game how it's intended. Everyone can play all they want but for some reason it really annoys me when people go out of their way to essentially cheat
And i only steal from the gnome druid as he as well as the others wanted to kill those poor tieflings with the rite of thorns. He deserves His stuff being stolen.
spellsparkler + magic missle is crazy, add on the magic missile amulet from blurg in the underdark and its even better. Will usually proc the spellsparklers extra d8 damage giving you an extra 10 damage per 3-4 magic missiles.
An important thing about Phalar Aluve is that it is the only Longsword with the Finesse property, meaning it's the only melee weapon a Rogue can use for Sneak Attack that can have a d10 damage die. I assume you'll be saving The Light of Lathander for your Act 3 video, as well. It's so weird to me that multiple +3 weapons are available in Act 1. Now, discussion time: What cool characters have you guys made? What's their roleplaying theme/gimmick? What gear did you use to flesh them out? I'll answer in the replies, too.
I made what I've come to call my Spider Knight. The key piece of gear to the build requires that they be a Drow. I'll break him down a bit: - Drow - Ranger: Ranger Knight, Wasteland Wanderer: Fire - Fighting Style: Duelling - Beast Master: Wolf Spider companion (Can use web every turn to make the battlefield a nightmare. Bite attack can Poison enemies, and it gets more damage from your Hunter's Mark) - Bounty Hunter - Wasteland Wanderer: Poison Focus STR and CON, with WIS third. By 8th level, I've only taken Ability Score Improvements for my feats. I currently have 18 STR, 16 CON, and 16 WIS, with only 10 DEX and CHA, and 8 INT. Important gear: - A good Heavy Armor (I've got the Adamantine Splint) - Grymskull Helm (purely for the free Hunter's Mark) - Disintegrating Night Walkers (for walking on webs with impunity) - Poisoner's Gloves (even if your attack doesn't have a chance to Poison the enemy, as long as you do Poison damage, the gloves will force a saving throw. If the enemy fails, they're poisoned.) Now, the central piece of the build: - Cruel Sting: Longsword+1 - 1d8(1d10)+STR Slashing damage and... Sting the Helpless: A Drow elf wielding this weapon deals an additional 1d4 Poison damage against Restrained targets. This is why you need the Wolf Spider, although Entangle, Ensnaring Strike, and Web can all help with this ability. The sword itself also has Ensnaring Strands: Your attack conjures thick, sticky webbing that possibly Enwebs your target(s).
There's a completely mind-blowing series of fantasy books called the Malazan book of fallen, there's a badass character in these books called Anomander Rake who has incredibly black skin, wields a legendary two handed sword and also is an incredibly powerful magic user. He's ancient and a leader of his race. I made him in the game and he looks perfect, unroll playing that he has amnesia and ended up in this strange realm, slowly regaining his strength. he's full fighter right now at level 6 with a two handed sword, I'm trying to find a way to make him more of a spell sword, like melee focused but with some ability to buff, if you have any tips.
Way off topic (kind of) but that MapleStory music you're using in the beginning of the video was nostalgic lol. I used to play that game obsessively. I think it's from Ellinia?
gotta say, i trampled upon ur vid kinda late for the flame sword, i watched a couple guides/tips and they mentioned the sword so i just tried soooooo so hard fighting for it. it took me abt 3 hours of gameplay just to win over that fight and by the end of it the tentacle dood turned and killed my laezel but well anw i got it and yes it's a nice sword but around lv 4, Karl just decided to fail almost every attack roll. Im not sure what caused this but eh i mainly use her as a meat shield (sorry K momma) so i guess it's fine. I've been checking and restocking the merchants, looting everything possible and so far yes, no wp seems to surpass the sword xD anw do you have any suggest build for Karl (for better attacks i mean)?

DO NOT TAKE A LONG REST JUST TO REFRESH A MERCHANTS INVENTORY. just respec your character at withers (you can steal your money right back and he doesn't even care if you fail and he catches you so just keep trying until you get your money back) merchants refresh every time you take a long rest, respec anyone, or level up even a single character once.
Ok Jeff Goldblum. Thank you these are great!
🤣🤣🤣
this was extremely useful! very nice, lookign forward to act 2
Thanks for this vid I missed a lot of these items, with the Orge int item I now got a monk with all stats over 17 except CHA at act one
Just curious...how?
@@crisholder3390lol no you didn't
Yes we do, in fact, know what you’re saying.
THis vidoe is well done and had to take a long long time to make, grats on doing all that work so well.
I have more money than I can spend just from selling weapons and armor. $10k+ in act 1 after buying everything I want. No need to pickpocket. Just fight and send everything to camp to sell later.
daaaang that's an in depth video. did you do the other acts?

Yes, my good man, I do know what you're sayin'
I found out it u make karlach thief and barb , and give her the legendary trident from jungle u can end up with 4 throws that deals aoe dmg, and the trident returns every throw , so ye try this out its rly rly good
ruclips.net/video/0wv0mjRin64/видео.html
I can't handle the "You know what I'm saying..." line over and over again.
The battle right outside the druid grove when you first enter. The head goblin drops gloves that give +1 to slight of hand. Astarian uses them the whole game.
God I miss maplestory, solid choice of background music my friend. Ellina was always my spot
2 items for Emerald Glade:
#1 if you sneak by Dammon you can steal a +1 Breastplate from a crate, you will need to pass a DC15 persuasion/intimidation/deception check to keep it
#2 you can still get sorrow if you betray the glade, you will need to talk to nettie when you first enter the druid's cave to rescue the girl from Kagdah and ask her for help, she will open the library door for you to have "a private talk" and give you a wyvern poison... then when you betray the glade you kill rath and he drops the wolf plate and with the library open to you you can still open the hidden stash to grab it
Actually you don’t have to talk with Nettie at all, just go full on murderhobo and take her circlet-then stand by the closed door and equip it, it will open since that is the “key” that she uses.
Pooh, missed the auntie Ethel monk gear on my monk game lol
There is a hammer you can get by going turnbased mode in the burning inn, its a shockwave on jumps so it's pretty fun x3
Great video! You sound just like Rob Schneider! Awesome!
Great video, very thorough! Thanks
I like your vibes bro I subbed looking forward to more !
i also used the command drop on the other demons that appear after you kill the first one and got a trident
If you're near the start of the game and you can pass the conversation to get Lumps war horn, go straight to the Gnoll fight with Flynt or the Paladin fight for Karlach. Both enemy groups do a ton of damage and can wear out the ogres if not kill them outright
I got Loviatar's Love without getting naked on every character I've run so far. I think you just wanted to get naked LOL
😏
Good video, my only complaint is that it’s kinda everywhere it would’ve been cool if you rearranged em so the viewer could do them in order, almost like a guide.
Thanks, dude, great job!
The mountain pass is also act one and you can go through both
arcane tower on the top level on the right side there is stool of giant. if you break it you get glob that set your strength to 19.
Love the video and the maplestory music 😁
Wow this is a great video. SO much stuff. I have found so much and still saw several items on here I need to check out
Great work on this!
You should refuse helping the monk, that way you get very rare version of the sentient amulet, which is not cursed.
Love the videos man, keep it up!
Orcs are not scammers, you can scam them much harder :D
Promise them money, and you can call them twice and after second fight they will ask for the money or die trying to get it... pure profit with no payment.
Honestly, I would've liked the option to get lump the enlightened to go to your camp somehow
Ogres*
Recognized maplestory music so insta liked
I've seen quite a few BG3 early game tips videos, that get butt ass naked before getting beat down buff has to be the best one yet.
🤣
For the ogres, the bosses of the goblin camp do a great job of killing most them. You can finish the last ogre in the courtyard where the chicken race began. They can swarm the ogre and you can then drop some dagger swarms or fireball on the lot of them.
New drinking game: take a shot everytime he says “know what I’m saying”
Your Music is Maple Story Lover!
Thank you 🖤
the war horn IS useful! i burned the ogar's out fighing the gith at the bridge up north. they all died, the gith all died. my party was fine XD
bro playing maple story music in the background
19 hrs in and just searched for a vid and first thing i see i missed a dope ass sword oh well
You can reset by reseting your character level and each time you level up they reset and also get their gold back and scale with level meaning, you can steal all their gold.
@@aeriagloris4211with the gloves you get from brem, you basically cannot lose a roll unless you are really unlucky especially with karmic dice
spellsparkler + magic missle is crazy, add on the magic missile amulet from blurg in the underdark and its even better. Will usually proc the spellsparklers extra d8 damage giving you an extra 10 damage per 3-4 magic missiles.
thorough video. you know what im sayin?
I'll break him down a bit:
- Drow
- Ranger: Ranger Knight, Wasteland Wanderer: Fire
- Fighting Style: Duelling
- Beast Master: Wolf Spider companion (Can use web every turn to make the battlefield a nightmare. Bite attack can Poison enemies, and it gets more damage from your Hunter's Mark)
- Bounty Hunter
- Wasteland Wanderer: Poison
Focus STR and CON, with WIS third. By 8th level, I've only taken Ability Score Improvements for my feats. I currently have 18 STR, 16 CON, and 16 WIS, with only 10 DEX and CHA, and 8 INT.
Important gear:
- A good Heavy Armor (I've got the Adamantine Splint)
- Grymskull Helm (purely for the free Hunter's Mark)
- Disintegrating Night Walkers (for walking on webs with impunity)
- Poisoner's Gloves (even if your attack doesn't have a chance to Poison the enemy, as long as you do Poison damage, the gloves will force a saving throw. If the enemy fails, they're poisoned.)
Now, the central piece of the build:
- Cruel Sting: Longsword+1 - 1d8(1d10)+STR Slashing damage and...
Why would he save that for act 3? It's not in act 3. He just completely left out any items involving L's questline. I guess he's never quested there.
I kept thinking I had skipped a bunch of weapons and armor because I didn’t have to change them for a long time
@@androidkenIt could be he considers the Crèche area part of act 2. Easy mistake to make.
How come no mention of Blurg's friend Omeluum? He has amulet that lets you regain a spell slot of 3rd lvl or lower.
For some reason Volo never ran away for me, so I was able to get his eye on my entire party. Made Act 2 hella easy.
Yes, I know what you are saying.
Oh my god dude YES! We DO know what you’re saying! Jeezus man.
Otherwise great video.
Good guide, you know what im saying?
theres a halberd in act 1 called the skin burster, and its real good on a barbarian or fighter with blade ward for damage mitigation.
Ring of Protection
Way off topic (kind of) but that MapleStory music you're using in the beginning of the video was nostalgic lol. I used to play that game obsessively. I think it's from Ellinia?
gotta say, i trampled upon ur vid kinda late for the flame sword, i watched a couple guides/tips and they mentioned the sword so i just tried soooooo so hard fighting for it. it took me abt 3 hours of gameplay just to win over that fight and by the end of it the tentacle dood turned and killed my laezel
but well anw i got it and yes it's a nice sword but around lv 4, Karl just decided to fail almost every attack roll. Im not sure what caused this but eh i mainly use her as a meat shield (sorry K momma) so i guess it's fine. I've been checking and restocking the merchants, looting everything possible and so far yes, no wp seems to surpass the sword xD
anw do you have any suggest build for Karl (for better attacks i mean)?
