      They don't want the league to change its historical order. I welcome clubs like Newcastle challenging city. The reason the epl is the league it is, is because its competivie and unlike European leagues, is more open. They want to shut down opportunities for such clubs like City. I'm not naive enough to think we are angels, but I understand that the mountain is too steep to climb for most clubs without a huge financial investment. in any other industry, its a part of business. in football its treated like a threat.

    I dont know whats going to happen here. However saying you were innocent in the uefa situation isnt really tru you recieved a fine and other samctions.
    The reason City got if light inspite of evidence is because Uefa has a rule where you cant punish for things over 5 years old.

    • @Metali-tin
      @Metali-tin Год назад

      You're incorrect on pretty much everything there. City were only found guilty on non cooperation, which is not really that bad no matter how you spin it(they took legal council and acted as they would in a real court). Lets not forget City were dealing with a so called "independent" investigation chamber who broke protocol by leaking details of the investigation to the press, trying to sway opinions before the investigation was submitted to the Adjudication Chamber(this would be taken very seriously in a real court).

    • @Metali-tin
      @Metali-tin Год назад +4

      The reason City only got a fine was because non cooperation isn't that serious. Most of the claims were looked at, UEFA told everyone they had proven their claims to EU law standards. CAS(the experts) told them they had done anything but. There were 13 instances of "there was no evidence" in the CAS report. The time barred stuff(which was only a handful of charges) was set aside, which means it was not explored. Neither UEFA or City presented any evidence on those charges, so to call those technicalities is dishonest. In truth the trial was over much quicker than expected because UEFA had no evidence to support their claims. City had evidence that was not presented because it was not required. They alluded to that in the latest club statement.

    • @chriswilliams6613

    • @Metali-tin
      @Metali-tin Год назад

      @@chriswilliams6613 Well if you re-read what I said, you'd understand I'm saying the media have been misinforming for some time on the time barred issue. Put it this way. If you have the sense from what you've heard and read, that UEFA presented some evidence that proved City were guilty but CAS looked at it and said "Yep looks dodgy that, but our hands are tied here because it's outside of the 5 year limitation". Then my point is proven. Read what happens when a charge is "set aside" or ask yourself would they not sort out what they can and cannot follow up at the start of the trial rather than discover it half way through only to find out they wasted time and money on something they can't follow up? UEFA didn't present any evidence on the time barred stuff. City didn't present any either(they said they had some) and they didn't use all their evidence on what was looked at either because UEFA pretty much didn't have anything other than the emails. I realise you hate City and I'm wasting my time. But it's so frustrating to hear Simon Jordan repeat that guff on talksport and sky sports too. If you're a Liverpool fan(not saying you are) you'd probably know the media will go with whatever sells/gets clicks for as long as they can get away with it.

    • @Metali-tin
      @Metali-tin Год назад +1

      @@chriswilliams6613 Also, again I'm probably wasting my time but... Have any of you ever actually listened and considered to what City have been saying with some objective thought? They said they sent UEFA evidence that they wouldn't even look at(no feedback). UEFA had no evidence but blamed City for "not cooperating" and tried to charge them saying they had proven their case against them. When City said "we don't think you have and you didn't even look at our evidence, you've not been fair here so we will take this to CAS"... 9 Clubs were "outraged" that City had the "audacity" to challenge UEFA's verdict. "Ban them now don't let the go to CAS please someone stop them getting a fair hearing quick" that's what City reps and fans heard. UEFA were found to have been wrong that they'd proven their case(this is undeniable)... So forget City "proving their innocence" because City had evidence that wasn't presented or required. UEFA tried to make charges stick without evidence which is borderline criminal in itself and somehow it was CAS that got the stained reputation. That's petulance, bringing the law into disrepute etc. It's madness really.

    Maybe one of Man City‘s top lawyers could explain to Pep the difference between allegations and charges. He seems to be a bit confused. Oh and if you were so innocent then why did they still have to pay 10 million fine. The only reason they never got a ban is because UEFA can only go back 3 years in their UEFA contract agreement. If the club are so innocent then why are they not providing the information required like every other Premier League club, if you don’t provide the details then you can’t blame other clubs accusing you of FFP. And what the hell is this crap about my people and all against us 🤷‍♂️ Hand over everything that all the other Premier Leagues clubs have and then they haven’t got a problem but Man City are not and that’s the problem. If City is guilty of what are accusations, relegate them sure but City's players won fair and square on the field. That can't be erased. You don't punish the employees because the boss cooked books. Brilliant manager, brilliant teams and brilliant football. A gift to the EPL.

      There will always be a gargantuan * asterisk against all of Man City's recent 'trophies' ... This era will be forever tainted in football fans minds worldwide.
