Travel insurance is important in this new world. Be sute it coveres extended stay if you fail your re-entry Covid test.
Also, print a copy of everything. Saw a young girl in Japan panicing because she could not find her QR code on her phone.
Bit a packet of printed papers works quickly.
In Spain we have two surnames and I had the same thing with a flight and they didn’t want to change the name even if it was their fail! I had to pay like a new ticket for them to change the name! I really hate airlines more and more!
I put out my bird feeders... waiting to make images in my back yard. I remember in the rain forest of Oaxaca Mexico after 3 days of humid hiking in the jungle with a 70lb back pack non stop moving due to jaguars and weapon wielding drug lords we finally found a quiet rustic village to rest....took a water bath in the near by river after i buried the biodegraded fruitloops cotton butt huggers (this was before the performance fabric wonders). Please bring extra undies in a ziplock bag, it's heaven to have dry, soft clean, tide smelling undies.
TIN MAN LEE... A tip for you. for your foreign audience... don`t make so much confusion in your speech... slowly slowly... take your patience.. as in the photography :-)
Pretty good video. I've had many of these experiences from several Tanzania trips. Here's a question when you do the packing video: What about substitutes for plastic bags? On my last trip to Tanzania, I landed May 31, 2019, the day before their plastic-bag bag went into effect. We were let in with ours. I use some cheap, throwaway grocery-store bags for shower shoes (one bag), shoes (one bag) and bedroom slippers (one bag). I use Zip-loc bags to seal a medication pouch against moisture. I use Zip-locs all over my camera bag on lenses, bodies, etc., to keep out dust. I would NEVER think of throwing these away. But I hear that now, in Kenya, even Zip-locs are banned. WHAT DID YOU USE TO KEEP DUST OUT AND TO KEEP DIRTY ITEMS SEPARATE? (By the way, my first safari with Federico is in September -- 6 months from now. You've helped to make me quite excited.)
Great advice! I always travel with just one small backpack that fits under my seat- that's it. But I realize that your camera equipment probably takes up all your carry-on capacity, so that's not an option for you!
Some great tips and equally awesome anecdotes! Thanks for sharing!
