The fact there isnt a single "gain control of target creature" is wild.
Love the Update. I'll be updating my Ziatora deck because she has not been getting the Respect she demands (though I will be economizing on some of the lands). I love Threaten effects with Ziatora as you can steal a problem creature then fling it at either a face or other problem creature for a 2 birds with one stone style solution.
I run 7ish fling/damage on death effects in my build, double up on Ziatora sacs. Less cards that 'can do', and more that 'will do'
Basalisk collar? Death touch and life link is insane on ziatora.
I play ziatora as a Dragon Tribal commander. Bunch if green to ramp and search big creatures, and i get to play Magda to sac the treasure tokens and get dragons straight from deck
It would be 8/8 on the first +1 activation of Nissa because adding +1 Loyalty is the cost of activation
Have you considered Malignus out of Avacyn Restored? It’s effect is: Malignus's power and toughness are each equal to half the highest life total among your opponents, rounded up.
Damage that would be dealt by Malignus can't be prevented. I have found it can be quite effective in a fling deck.
Strionic resonator and roaming throne can interact with Ziatora so that you can get 6 treasures and double the fling damage off of the one creature, or you can have two separate sac lines - per your preference. It's pretty great.
Slight correction you need to sacrifice 2 creatures to get 2 flings and 6 treasure from ziatora. Saccing the creature isn't a cost of activating the ability its a condition you have to fulfill after the ability has triggered. So when you copy the ability on the stack you still haven't sacced any creatures yet and you will need to aac a creature for each trigger to get the effect.
@@arymland01 there are actually two points at which you may copy a 'triggered ability' as part of what Ziatora does: 'at the beginning of your end step' and 'when you do'. I'm sure there's a different name for the 'when you do', so excuse my use of 'triggered ability' if that's not accurate; however, you very much can sacrifice one creature and double that effect to secure 6 treasures and two instances of damage from that one sacrifice. There are some pretty friendly Facebook ask a judge pages you can approach for clarity here- it's a pretty niche interaction, but very favourable for Ziatora.
With regard to roaming throne, which does not give you a choice (as opposed to strionic resonator), the first sentence of Ziatora's ability is a may.
Some other cool new stuff might be, The Gitrog Ravenous Ride, Coram the Undertaker and Gluttonous Hellkite.
For older cards i like Malignus, Lord of Extinction, Yargle Glutton of Urborg, Pytotitan, and Yargle and Multani.

I built a ziatora deck using the red/green/black Phyrexian horrors and pushes for a murder/tax evasion build
sorry but ziatora's ability active everytime we sacrifice?
Use Phyrexian Possessor put a chunk of life into it and give Ziotora lifelink, every turn can make a big creature for 4 mana and gain big life each turn
Cool my commander gets an upgrade
This is one of my favorite decks. I love running creatures that have a Treasure cheat metric. Marut and Security Rhox do great for me in here, being able to play them cheaper/free just because treasures is great.

Always my concern with high cost commanders like this. Like sure I never see stifle effects ever, but counterspells exist, board wipes happen, and targeted removal is omnipresent.

I would agree except this deck really needs Ziatora as the commander and falls apart with HINZIE. But I do love my toolbox, Hinz is my favorite Jund commander
