Looking at Rtings, the QNED99 doesn't actually have higher brightness than present-day OLEDs. Peak brightness tops out at 1000 nits, Samsung S90D (OLED) peaks at around 1200 nits. Also 8K at that size is completely useless, unless you're watching your TV from a distance where your nose is basically touching the screen.
65” for $1500 Is tough I’d probably went with the XGIMI Horizon S Max or the Ultra both 4K IMAX Enhanced 120” Might have to add another $300-500 for an ok screen but that might’ve been a better wow factor.Either way setup is sick good content
Using the Apple TV is the only acceptable way to use a TV, change my mind (spoiler alert, you can't, lol). Plus, using it as a smart home hub really set it in stone for me. Got it to work with my philips hue hub and it's really convenient to change all the lights, directly from my control center or siri commands, without having to open up the hue app
Very nice set up. Have you considered your audio for the higher rez TV? Perhaps a soundbar if not a traditional speaker set up. I have a fairly bright TV that I tend to put in filmmaker mode which seems duller to many but I am no fan of overly bright screens with washed out details. To each their own. I am hoping the next ATV offers a bit more in the way of letting us play our own media files via network and quality upscaling. cheers
@@NoahHerman Nice, I had oral surgery on Friday morning so it hurts to much to watch with the AVP on this weekend I’ve been watching on my 4K and I miss the AVP. Noticed the Eminem poster. He’s my favorite. I’m at 12Oaks if you ever make it over that way. I’m a Pro.
Your TV isn't available for delivery on Best Buy. Amazon has it for $1800 + tax. I'm seriously considering it because I need to replace my 55" LG C1 due to burn in after 4 years of near constant use. I will be connecting it to my current M1 Mac Mini, which will be replaced by the M4 Pro Mac Mini when it's released.
Try the Samsung s series, lg c3, Sony a80l if your room won’t get much light. Check out RTINGS tv recommendations and their oled burn in test if you worry about burn in still
we have such similar taste. Ive always wated an 8k tv and put it up with apple tv. I had this idea bcz i love everything apple and also i havent heard anyone talk abt 8k tvs let alone paired with apple tv which is an even rarer scenario. But here you are. you literally have my dream setup
It’s over kill. Not judging but it’s not great value for money. 😅 could you do a video on ultimate Apple home kit integrated home with Apple TV , HomePods , Siri Shortcuts and HomeKit devices please. That would be something I’d be interested in building towards
Any blooming on mini LED TVs? It's not a problem for me most of the time on my MacBook Pro, but when it happens during dark scenes it's pretty obnoxious and has kept me from considering mini LED TVs.
It looks like he’s using the 2021 model with the A12 that doesn’t support HDR10+. Even I buy every new Apple TV they make and just move the previous gen to another TV and I don’t even have a popular RUclips channel 😂
I mean why would he need one. I only picked one up because I have a Samsung tv that doesn’t support Dolby vision so I’ll use HDR10+. He has an lg buying one would be a literal waste of money for his use case. You don’t have to buy everything.
Idk what it is about TV’s but I’ll never pay premiums, I’ll buy the biggest+cheapest TV everytime. Maybe growing up with early 2000’s era television has something to do with it. Base model 55” 4K TV’s are beyond more than enough for something I already shouldn’t be indulging in.
For the Apple nerd's who have a watchful eye, that is not a current gen Apple TV 4K. The latest model only has an Apple Logo on top. The newest models don't have the text 'TV' on the device...
If I had a Blu ray player that upscaled as beautifully as the one I have right now (1080p>>4k) I would be tempted by an 8k tv though I have the horrible feeling that I’d need to start buying 4k discs only & they’re overpriced right now , it’s still a buyers market right now regarding physical media & I’ve made a few killer bargain purchases, I wouldn’t want to give that up, I’m actually saving money not renting or buying from streaming services, but fair play to you for making that jump at that price, my equivalent would be £5-6000 just for a 4k @ 65” 😢

Sofa really close for the size of tv
Why so close to the TV??
crazy to me that you have such a nice TV and nice lighting but don’t even have a basic soundbar/speaker 😅
fine I'll buy one lmfao

Isn’t Apple TV only 4k? Why pay for an 8k TV
watch the video 😂😭
@@NoahHermanHe didn't even watch the first minute smh 🤦♂️
Plus 1500$ isn’t a bad price
@1:14 “ for potential video production or gaming”…. Dawg cmon it’s literally right there
Because 8k is coming in near future. So why not the 8k display in advance.
sonos beam in white would match this setup perfectly.
Not with how badly Sonos bricked their hardware and screwed their customers recently. They don't deserve anyone's money.

This is why you do your research so you don’t make these mistakes . No only with the tv but will the sound
How does your 8K display compare to watching movies in the AVP?
i'd say the experience is comparable! but my TV does seem a bit brighter :)

Nice setup with the real Apple vibe. Inspiring.

That tv is $4500 in Australia. I could literally buy 2 x 75” 4K TVs for that price
$366 CAD for the led strips 😵
I get it bro, I’m poor
