    Omniel, another great video, thanks. I really appreciate that you don't shy away from mistakes and imperfections. I think this is the first time I've seen you prepare a milk-based drink. It's nice to see that, as I do that every morning. Btw , the latte art was good…. Don’t be shy

      Hello Wojtek. Thank you about the late art 😣, it's tough bro!! I've been just having the straight shots and really loving them. I've noticed myself getting better at tasting espresso, meaning identifying flavors, etc. The next couple of Friday videos should be cool, can't wait to see what you guy's think. Today's commentary has been great, I will definitely record a video in regards. Thank you so much for your support my friend, and have a wonderful weekend.

    Good morning Omniel:
    I know you posted this last night but I'm just watching it this Saturday morning. I'll be sure to watch and provide a comment on your upcoming short video for you.
    As always, I enjoyed this weeks offering from you. I also enjoy Latte's. I drink quite a few more Latte's than I do straight Espresso, plus I also drink my rather unusual Espresso & Orange Juice on occasion. This morning... Latte with Cinnamon & Raisin Bagel with a small amount of Cream Cheese 🙂
    Take care & I do hope you enjoy a great week ahead,
    Kerry

      Good morning Kerry.
      Ah, cinnamon raisin with cream cheese, my wife's favorite. I hope you enjoyed it. The next two Friday video's should be short and sweet, with just a bit of acidity left in for excitement, just as a good espresso should be 😅. Thank you for your comment my friend, and see you Sunday. 🤗 Have a good one!!

    When I use your method for expresso, I up the dose to 20g because it seems to work better in the IMS basket. I would be interested to hear your views on dose & yield (18/20 in and 45 out).

      @OmnielCapote  25 дней назад

      Hello buddy, hope all is well.
      Now a days I always do 18 in and 45 out. Do you want me to try 20 in? I don't think I will taste much of a difference, do you?

    • @offwiththeirheads4635
      @offwiththeirheads4635 25 дней назад +1

      @OmnielCapote The Bianca IMS basket is 18 to 21, both James Hoffman and Lance Hendrick have talked about headroom in a puck when dialling in expresso. I find using the 20g makes fine-tuning to taste easier on the Bianca. Just a suggestion for Bianca-focused content.

    • @oly7744
      @oly7744 25 дней назад +1

      I have used the 18/20 basket when starting with the Bianca and found it difficult to fine-tune (or let's say handle correctly) with a 18g dose. Using the smaller basket (I think it is 16/18) solved that issue.

      @@offwiththeirheads4635 Do you think the fact that I'm using the puck screen can make a difference? Did they use a puck screen? Interesting.....

    • @oly7744
      @oly7744 24 дня назад +1

      @@OmnielCapote I always use/used a puck screen (ok, in the earliest days, when the workflow wasn't really there, i sometimes forgot it) with both baskets. For me it just works better with the smaller one.

      Jazz is basically all that I play in all of the videos. Jazz is awesome, very relaxing, and most people will enjoy it. I have to say that I have a very diverse taste in music, and I enjoy most genres.

    Nice content! Really new to this, just acquired a Bianca. 13:45 How come the pressure ramped up to 10 bar even though you had the paddle pretty much all the way off?

    • @oly7744
      @oly7744 24 дня назад +1

      😂 either his machine is totally screwed up, or the grinding was too fine.

    • @oly7744
      @oly7744 24 дня назад +1

      Might also be due a clogged puck screen. 🤷‍♂️ tough I think the paddle or the needle valve need some service or adjustment.

    • @OmnielCapote
      @OmnielCapote  24 дня назад +1

      Hello my friend, and welcome to our little coffee club community. The answer is very simple. The machine was practically choking, because the grind size was way too fine. If you completely block the exit of the water, as when you use the blind basket to back flush, the machine will behave in the same manner. The water flow was not completely cut off, and being that the pressure had already built, it had no where to go. Now, if you wait long enough, with the exit through the group cut off, and the flow completely cut as well, the pressure will most likely go down slowly in a few seconds do to loss.
      I hope this helps. If you want to see the machine react like this, just install your blind basket, and play with the pressure to see what happens. It will NOT hurt your machine, the excess pressure will be released by the overpressure valve. I hope this helps. Have a great weekend.

      Chief... frankly - if i put my paddle at 5 we never got a pressure above 4 bars, if we put it at 6/7 we have barely any pressure. Maybe you should have this checked.

    Another thing, which makes me really curious... and please all, tell us your experiences...
    With all beans I have tried do far, doing a 50+ seconds shot, all espressi will come out far too bitter. That's why I am really interested in your water quality and wherher you are using the Lelit water filter? 2nd did you ever calibrate your Bianca - means, is your brew temperature 95C or is it just the boiler temp?
    Thanks.

      Oly, this has been the most interesting conversation in the video's commentary so far. The best thing to do here is for me to record a video reply to all of this. This discussion will occur on the very next video that I record, however you will have to wait a few weeks to see it. I wish I could do lives, because then we could have a conversation. I recorded a video recently on water temperature that might give you some insight. Perhaps my handling of water filtration could have something to do here, I'm not sure. When you pull longer shots, how long is your machine at 9 bar? As to the 2 different baskets that come with the Bianca, what experiment should I run? What dose? What yield? What timing? What pressure? What do I shoot for with each of the 2 baskets? On the recent video that I recorded in regards to temperature (you have NOT seen it yet), you will see that the true temperature is nowhere near 95. Once you see that video, perhaps it will give you a clue as to what is happening. I definitely what to do some experimentation in regards to all of this. If you have something specific that you would like me to try, please let me know. Thank you buddy.

      @OmnielCapote just to avoid any misunderstood... i like your channel and the efforts you put in it. Specially the ones brewing coffee in the cold. 👍👍👍 great video. Loved these. My opinion/question... the Lelit filter desalinate the water - means to me, you kill everything which could buffer acidity. 🤷‍♂️
