Back story: Back in September '22 RM recorded a track called "Sexy Nukim" with the group Balming Tiger. The main dude of that group is a man called San Yawn, and he and RM became friends. Through this friendship RM started doing things his status in BTS would not allow, like perhaps going to clubs and music festivals and experiencing things more freely. Before BTS went on leave for their military duties, RM expressed his desire to be able to speak for himself and make music for himself, not as the leader of BTS which has been his role since his teen years. With his album Indigo (December '22) he expressed himself as he felt Back then. With Right Person, Wrong Place, he is expressing himself in the time since. Between both albums he lived a totally separate life, as he is looking for the places that are right for him.
I believe 'I hit the club. I've never been to club before' just means he experienced all kind of new things (in general - not that he has been to a club) during his break from BTS...
Here is some extra info on RM for you... Predebut RM, known under the names Runch Randa, Largo, Stealo, and the Nexist in the underground hiphop community was already a prodigy in rap despite being 13years old (he started in the underground scene at 11 years old) impressing other rappers. RunchRanda which basically meant 'I am Runcha', he has said it was inspired by a Maple Story game character he had at the time. He was known to be so good that even older underground rappers in their 20s and 30s didn't wanna battle against him. Also, because of his low-midtone voice, philosophical lyrics and flashy rap skills he gained quite the popularity among hiphop fans. (Jungkook joined the same agency as he had been so impressed the first time he saw RM perform...) Throughout 2008-2010 , RM (Runch Randa or Randa ) was mentioned multiple times by other rappers in their songs mostly complimenting RM or wishing they had skills or fame as him. An example for that is when Zico* made a diss song to Philophon (35yo) who is also a rapper saying "you got your ass handed to you by a 13 yr old Runch" referencing that Philophon already lost to teen Namjoon. RM joined BigHit in 2010 at 15 years old. His audition.was watched by the CEO BangShiHyuk and RM was offered a contract on the spot.... He was 18 when BTS debuted. Also... Have you heard...
