Acabo de adquirir el pro trek 340 verde militar.
Tiene los mismos sensores salvando diferencias únicamente en diseño y pantalla. Lo que me gusta es que el bixel es giratorio y a la hora de marcar rutas es más sencillo que con este 270 que no puede girar el bixel.
Por lo demás éste es también una gran herramienta para la montaña incluso Playa. Gran vídeo y bonito 270. Saludos!!

Had mine about 2 years, with a positive display which I think is much easier to read. Great watch, and just added a GWG to the collection. Still have the PRG40 too
+Tony Deslandes the PRG40 is an old school beast, I love that watch!!
That PRG40 - probably 20 years old now, still works a treat. Had to replace the strap as I had the woven and leather which started to look shabby, but no scratches on the face at all, and it's been in -50 degrees C and +50 degrees C
+Tony Deslandes great to hear it's so durable, it has 2 batteries if I remember correctly?
4 batteries - you should see the face on the watch repair people when I get them changed! Usually last about 4-5 years

damn, at 21:38 i looked att my watch and it was way down on the last possible level.. i looked in to the window and it was a snow storm outside HAHAHAAH. btw best tutorial about the watch EVER. thank you. i dont think you left anything about this watch..

Do you know the difference between this module 3415 and module 3443?
(As in ProTrek PRG-330.)

Mine stoped showing the seconds countdown that forms a circle on the face. It's fully charged, but now even after reading the manual... I can't find any button options to activate it. Thank you for your time, and hard work on your posts. Hope you can help me on this Sir. 🙏🙏😊

I set my LAT 55'5 N, LON 12.1' E - And it shows sunset 16:48 sunrise: 5:14..... How do i do this correctly ?

Both PRG-240 and 270 are sold here with very close price tags. I think 270 is better as it has a bigger model number... Any differences you know?
The most important different is that the 270 has 3th generation sensor, 240 has 2th.

I'm buying my first EDC / camping wrist watch ( I go out to nature every couple of weeks). I'm a watch newbie. Since you are Watch geek I thought I could ask you for help :D I saved up about 300usd but I could save up some more (student life). I want to buy a durable watch that I hope will last me atleast few years. I'm torn about all these CASIO watches PROTREKs and G-shocks. Looks don't matter to me but I like NATO straps. My potential choices are down there (what vendors in my country have in stock and their prices) Which one would you recommend ?
- PRG 270 180usd
- PRW 3500Y 310usd
- PRW 650 350usd
All I want is smth that shows time while on hike, compass and that it won't brake if it falls. It would be nice to have a NATO/Zulu strap compatibility, altimeter and solar charge but that is not a deal breaker. I apologize for bad english since it's not my native tounge. You don't have to answer. A mozes i na nasem ;)
Get the PRG 270 and use the rest of the money for other equipment/clothing! No need for a $300 watch that could potentially be destroyed out in the wild. Footwear comes first imho! Good luck:)

Note:. When I bought it and opened the box... The dots were showing all around the bezel side, after I set the watch, the dots disappeared
Is there any way to change to display to the lighter color background. It is very dark to read in my opinion.
You will have to buy a lighter display variant if you want a lighter display

No I have one in navy blue and yellow it has normal display.

You open google maps, then let it find your location or enter your address. Once it has found you you right click your location and click "what's here" and in the bottom of the screen you will get the Longitude and latitude information, then you just enter that into the watch

+ezeyhomero I don't think that you can change it on this model, it would involve disassembling the whole watch

Can anyone tell me why in all the pictures of this watch on websites the outer ring where the compass indicator seems to be shows tick marks illuminated almost all the way around.
It is a trek log function where every tick represents a certain time frame

That's the issue with a negative display. It looks stealthy, but unfortunately, it doesn't have excellent viewing angle

I don't like Watches with negativ Display. It's to hard to read them... I don't understand Casio's new generations of Protrek Watches . I missing good features for example: for reaching height , maybe *1000 meters* its give alarm.( this one gives only the old prt line - like the prt40 ) Or the another thing what you talking -> no Duplex Display. ( WHY Casio? - i think its the best feature by the prg 240 or prw2500 ;) ), the backlight ( the electro backlight) getting low effect by frequent use. I have the prw2500 and the backlight its getting weak! ( the battery its full - > H ) So its a good Job from Casio, get back to Led Light.

Hey, I have this watch, and its not negative display unless you select that when you buy it, mine is not negative, hope this helps you choose a great watch!
Still don't know how to set the alarm, even though I did it a couple of times years ago!!!
