National Museum of Transportation (4K)

On my last Major Road Trip for a long time, I finally worked in the Big Museum I have been trying to work in for a long time. The National Museum of Transportation. Enjoy!
Note this video's audio is similar to the B&O Museum due to the copywrited music and a lot of Heavy Editing had to be done to remove it. Anyhow on August 19th, after stopping in Centralia Illinois, we made our way west to Missouri. This was my first time back in the state since 2018. I have wanted to stop at this museum since I first seriously got into this hobby for a few reasons. Frisco 1522 & Southern Pacific 4460 being the two big reasons! But also too having the only surviving Nickel Plate Road Hudson, 170, the other New York Central Surviving Mohawk, 2933, and many other rare pieces in the collection. Lets not forget my 5th Big Boy either, the 4006. We almost spent 4 hours here enjoying everything. Either way hope you enjoy my video from the Museum of Transportation!
This past weekend was great finishing up my 5th year anniversary chase of the Nickel Plate Road 765. And this weekend I won't be going anywhere which feels great. I would like to see a New York central 2933 or 3001 restored to operation in the near future

It wont happen. 3001 had an evaluation done years ago and it was determined it was not feasible, and this was when there was a group interested. Unsure of the condition of 2933. But unless a serious plan could ever happen i doubt shell operate. I am happy they both somehow escaped the scrappers torch.

@@mariahhaarstick591 where would either even run? Where would even be feasible? We have enough mainline engines running that have issues finding a place to run. Theres a point of being hopeful and a point of being realistic. Realistically, neither of these engines will run again. The closest to NYC steam youll ever have is 587 if she is ever returned to service.

No. They never did. It was on loan to them from 2015-2020. Supposedly VMT tried. But i dont know.
