To help it last longer, add a little vinegar and a bit of ionized water

Don't mix large amounts unless you plan on using it the same day.

Acrylic paint definitely does NOT contain "plastic pigment". It uses exactly the same mineral and organic pigments as oil paint, it's just the binder that's a synthetic polymer.

You're correct about the binder! However, many pigments used in conventional acrylics are synthetic, which means that they are not natural substances. That's why we have our Natural Acrylic Medium and Earth & Mineral Pigments, to replace traditional acrylic mediums (which are essentially liquid plastic) and synthetic and/or toxic pigments. You can find our plant-based acrylic medium here: naturalearthpaint.com/natural-acrylic-medium-16-oz/

Can you grind up watercolor paint blocks to get the pigment?🤔

Watercolor paint that's dried in pans already has a binder added, so you may end up with a strange consistency. We recommend using pure pigments that have no additives or binders in them, like our Earth & Mineral Pigments, which you can find here: naturalearthpaint.com/earth-mineral-pigments/

Hello, I stumbled on to your RUclips channel. Just a note of caution. Pigments are highly toxic, safe handling practices are required for use. The dangers of dry pigments use are inhalation, absorption and transference, (hand to mouth). Please use safe & best practices at all times when using dry Pigments.

Aren't many "natural" mineral pigments more toxic than "synthetic" organic pigments such as phthalocyanine and quinacridone?

Very True! We have all of our pigments tested by 3rd party toxicologists. They are 100% non-toxic.

Hello. Could you put a link here for the tutorial that you mentioned at end of this video, "using egg white"? (Have searched but not been able to find it.) With thanks in advance!

    You can use chalk right?🤔

      That's what I was wondering.

Yes, you can use whiting powder or limestone powder to add more opacity and thickness but I think it also detracts from the luminosity of the paint personally and is not needed.
