Bonus Tip for #4. You only have to check 1 bottle colour. The bottles will always spawn in the order of RED, GREEN, BLUE, PINK. So as long as you check one colour you know the rest. The order of spawn spots is POOL, VIP BAR, TERRACE (Above VIP bar). Note, The colour pattern can start at any of the 4 bottle spawns, but will always follow the same order, no matter where the RED bottle is, BLUE is next, than GREEN, than PINK. Ex. Bar is PINK, you can automatically know that above the bar is RED and GREEN and the pool has BLUE.

Thank you for this amazing knowledge! As I said, since this isn't mentioned anywhere in the video, I'll pin your comment, so that more heisters can learn about it! Combined with the tip for spotting the correct gambler (and simply checking his drink), you can be done with all these objectives within 10-15 seconds of entering the Casino, without even masking up and with barely any effort. @@kickass1437 There will be a guard that never moves near the correct gambler. He shows both spots to look at 0:45. When you see which side the guard is, check that gamblers bottle and that's the colour that needs to be spiked.

Identifying the civ with the keycard and searching for the drinks before you mask up honestly is a game-changer for my approach. This video is INCREDIBLY helpful and quite thorough.
Hey CuppaBro! That's definitely one of my best tips :) I used to check the drinks for both civs and type in the chat where each of their drinks was found (having that information is very helpful for the objectives), but simplifying it to checking just one drink and its location makes it much faster and less confusing :p Plus you don't have to wait in the server room until the civ shows up on the screen!
Finally beat this one at 1Hr 17m and it feels so good. I had let a lobby in over 10 times assuming they'd be pretty good at the game but we never even got past the USB part because people did the stupidest stuff and got caught. The tip for casing the drink helped immensely because I only ever got caught during the drink part of the mission. Thank you so much dude!

Congrats Esmairu, and very well done! Completing it on the first try is no easy feat, so I'm glad that the tips were useful! I'm a big fan of checking the drink color only for the guest that has the keycard, and then finding which bar has his drink before even masking up :)
Ouch, that one hurts to read! Very unfortunate! I have two suggestions for that kind of situation, but they are very bizarre :p (A) Bring a primary weapon without a silencer. Since most heists are completed using just a secondary weapon (usually shotgun), this will allow you to have a way to make the heist go loud if you die to fall damage. After it goes loud, the bots will try to get to you as fast as possible, and hopefully revive you on time...! (B) Make a stealth profile for Golden Grin stealth, with First Aid Kits as a deployable... waste 12 skill points on acing the "UPPERS" skill in Mastermind, and place some FAKs under the elevator. If you fall again by mistake, the FAKs will instantly heal you and prevent you from dying to the fall damage :p
@TypeLuo Haha yeah, that also happens quite often, the bots completely ignore the fact that you're about to go into custody, and do their own thing... :( Glad you enjoyed the tips, thank you! The locker one is worth remembering (if you can understand the explained logic behind the order, otherwise remembering each locker individually is rather complex), because you find the code faster and there's less risk of the locker guard spotting you :) And the one for the gambler is very nice too! Saves me a lot of work for the initial scouting of the drinks and their locations.
@TypeLuo Little bit late but if you haven't been completely incapacitated(like when a cloaker kicks you), you can shout at a bot and they'll drop what they're doing to run to you faster. Good luck if you get shot again and the bot forgets again though.

I’ve never known of/thought of using the Smoking Area outdoor staircase and V.I.P. Room as safer shortcuts to get upstairs. I’d always just linger by a slot machine for an opening to sprint jump towards the main staircase or Reception. The lockers and pre-determined guest guards are also very good to know. This was fun to watch. :)

Excellent review. I do want to mention two things: 1. There's frequently a guard that is bugged and goes stationary on the northeast quadrant of the upper level of the casino, overlooking the floor (I've not mapped the spawns to tell exactly which he is, or why it happens). This guard blocks off a number of routes through that area, and once you're familiar with his "stuck spot", you can recognize and work around it more conventiently. 2. The bathroom on the pool side is significantly less safe, as civilians and the "whole casino" guard can both path through it.

He is there very frequently, so he was a pain when we were recording the video for Golden Grin ECM rushing. I'm pretty sure he's the guard that patrols the entire upstairs area, but I've never confirmed it! (2) I agree with this, for sure! I would've mentioned it if the gambler on this try was the purple shirt civ, but sadly I didn't want to make a double-length video because it seems like low effort when the videos are too long! Personally, I wait hidden behind the pillar in that bathroom, which allows you to see his yellow outline (while not being seen by civs that walk in). If he's going towards the sink, I let him walk in, but if he's going outside, I move out of hiding and shotgun-launch him before he has a chance to go outside. Works very well for me!

So, last night I finally climbed this mountain and I probably watched this video for reference more times than I actually attempted the heist (both of these are still double digit numbers, I'm not *that* good). I call it a mountain because every time I mentioned clearing another heist on DSOD solo stealth, a very common response was something to the effect of "That's neat, now do Golden Grin." So I did. Being able to check which guest I care about and where his drink is within the first minute was invaluable, along with everything else, particularly routes across the huge hall. Just about everything mentioned here was of great help and I quite appreciate how you put it all into simple easy-to-follow instructions complete with gameplay examples. Also, it surprised me how much easier things got after I got past spiking the drink. Almost made me wonder what all the fuss was about. Almost. Thank you for helping this relatively new heister get another DSOD achievement. You might remember me from the comment section of your Shadow Raid video.

Bruh I just now noticed you made a guide on this heist. Regularly it wouldn’t be something that I would be “mad” about, but considering I stayed up until 12:30 A.M. (I started trying at like 9: 40-ish, I’m mad I didn’t see this. I mean I can at least do solo stealth golden grin still but it would have been so much easier if I had seen this. If there is one thing I learned ever since I subscribed it is, Marcmb knows what to do. At least I learned about pre-checking the drink. Seriously that helped a ton. Back when I didn’t know I literally would just run around not know where the guy is then realized he was on the other side. Good work as always though! 👍

You forgot the most important tip tho: Give up Jk. I'd say that this heist is one of the most hard to stealth solo (apart from the ones like firestarter), the other one being breaking feds. However, after some playthroughs, it becomes just as easy as other heists, since you get used to all the little details. Only breaking feds is always hard
Haha, never give up! What I used to like the most about stealth when I was learning it, was restarting over and over until I understood how certain heists work :p I can definitely see why people struggle with this one, so I hope the video will be helpful for those players! As for Breakin' Feds, my best tip is to check where the Security Office (camera room) has spawned (as soon as you go through the security barrier, without taking any risks), and with that information I just kill the three guards on that side of the map and the rest becomes very easy!

@@monochromatic9601 Absolutely agree... it's a great map to play duo, but the initial objective with the computer is a complete nightmare when playing solo... it shows that it wasn't designed to be played solo :p I would love it if there was a reliable way to guess the correct computer even when playing solo, though!

I always try to guess roughly where the computer must be depending on where I hear the sound, but two of the server rooms are so far that it's almost impossible... luckily whenever I play Big Bank I pretty much always do it duo, and then it becomes a really fun map :p

as a player who has beaten diamond heist solo on ds:od, I can give you a few tips, I don’t know if you can really call these tips, since i don’t know much about diamond heist, but for laptops, 1 of them will be most likely on the opposite side of the map, if you go to the roof, (if your solo) and you look around you’ll see a 2nd entrance, and if you go down there, there will be a laptop spawn, it’s in a dark office room. And another spawn I think is where you actually spawn at, it’s to the left side of the room you spawn in. And the spawn room i’m talking about is like brightly lit and it’s left of the vault. I don’t know if you understand since that’s the only place where I spawn in. And the guy with the keycard you need for the vault has a white suit, he looks like a mobster from the hotline miami heist, except he’s just a civ. And if you walk up the stairs, (the one where there’s no numbering for the floors,he sometimes walks around there so its an easy kill where you don’t have to worry about guards.
1 more tip: it is necessary to kill the Delivery room side(Secure cash easily) guard but unnecessary to kill Server room side guard. Just to save a pager for an unfortunate event :)
That's a nice tip! It's definitely a matter of playstyle: some players don't kill any of the guards in the staff areas because they would rather not waste time answering the pagers, but I like recommending killing all four because then players can freely move through the staff areas without worrying about anything :p
@@Marcmb old Video I know, but if you kill 4 guards at the beginning. Does a 5th one come along when you are taking too long to secure all the money? Or is it really only 4 guards back there?

Hey DeltaGamer! That tip is easily one of the two best tips I had to offer for this heist :) It makes everything so much easier because you only have to check one drink (which you can very quickly check before masking up) and then the drink objectives become so much easier. The locations of the 6 good lockers is also a good one (and a good time-saver), although that one requires a bit more memory :p
@@cottoneyejoe8285 Yeah! There's only 6 lockers that may contain the briefcase, and the other 14 are always empty. Huge time save, and also considerably safer because you don't spend as much time opening lockers in a position where the guard will spot you if he walks up to the door. Personally I think the 6 positions are easy to remember using the explanation at 8:49, but some players prefer just opening all 20 until they find the briefcase and that's ok too :p

It does in the Gta online, while the heist is pretty ok, there's (obviously for rockstar) a paywall in order to reach it. Game needs you to buy any arcade, which is pucharsable on site of mazebank foreclosures after you go to the green "L" on the map (no idea when it spawns), but when it comes to it, never choose the cheapest one in Paleto Bay as you have to do many setup missions which almost always spawn in the Los Santos, i personally recommend the Videogeddon one. For the profit side, it's probably one of the grinders' favourite toy ;p Well i didn't mean to "spoil" the entire heist, but if you want to play it, do it in public lobby ;p, it just takes super long to get everything done. Still don't forget this is Gta, not Payday, the stealth mechanics are super bad.
Haha yeah i have to agree, especially after many players joined due to the game being free on Epic Games Store, every heist with randoms in Gta is pretty difficult especially like Deliver EMP setup one, but i wouldn't recommend spend that much time to play the heist as a host, if the host could buy an arcade and do setups, then i guess he knows what he's doing! ;p

Don't know if this deserves a mention (or if anyone else has already mentioned it) but it's actually possible to kill the card civvy right at the beginning of the heist by triggering slow mo via putting on your mask and quickly killing/bagging him (having concealment 3 is important) and then sneaking to the nearest toilet room. This allows you to skip half of the heist and proceed straight to gassing the security room.
Very true, _No thoughts, head empty!_ You can skip all the way to the end if you pull that off. There's some videos uploaded where players have done it, but I can't find the link right now :(
The spy cam asset is a rather flawed asset in this heist, the main hall ones have a glaring blind zone (around the part bellow the second floor balconies under the spycam position, they can't spot guards around that angle of their FoV). Spotter has limited service as they only serve a purpose IF the external staircase spawns there...
Hey Andre! Indeed, they are very very limited... for this reason, I only recommend getting them with the leftover favors, and I suggest other options such as disabling metal detectors or getting body bags instead. They have A LOT of blind spots so they are barely ever marking anyone... but on the occasions where they do mark someone and give you a bit of information, they are nice to have, so they are still my go-to with the leftover favors :p
I feel like that it’s worth mentioning that on overkill difficulty the 4th guard can be permanently banished to gay baby jail (aka the locker room). He’ll never leave that room, even if the door is unlocked or open, and just wander aimlessly without any risk to the heist. In all seriousness thanks a bunch for helping complete my first stealth casino heist!

Combined with other types of videos like I've been doing, of course :) The bug you're describing seems very unusual. Are you able to play any heists before it crashes? Is there any common factor between all your crashes? Do you have any mods?
@@SymphonisXD Oh! In that case, go to your PAYDAY 2 folder (in Steam/steamapps/common/PAYDAY 2) and make sure that there's no WSOK32.dll and no IPHLPAPI.dll. They are very small files and it's very easy to miss them, but if you ever used mods at some point, it's likely that these files remained in the folder and they will crash your game instantly (like you're describing) if they're left in the folder, unupdated. So check if maybe it's because of one of these two files!
@Symphonis I hope that fixes it! If it doesn't... unfortunately my game very rarely gives me problems so I don't have solutions for most of these problems :( Even if it's a clean install, double-check to make sure that the files I mentioned are not in the new folder!

Thank you Al Kh, glad you liked this one too! :) I essentially use always Hacker, especially when playing with a crew (for extended ECM rushes of 6 minutes rather than 4). Sometimes I play Yakuza when I need the extra movement speed, but I very rarely use Burglar. The faster bagging speed is cool, but one of its strong points is that it can easily answer two pagers in quick succession (because of the faster pager answers), while Hacker can easily have the same effect while having more utility. So summarized answer: Yakuza if I want speed, Hacker otherwise by default!
I think I knew everything except knowing who has the keycards at the beginning. That's so useful. I usually looked at both drinks and then just found all the spawn locations. I also didn't know about the briefcase locker locations, I'll keep that in mind. I also didn't know that extra loot doesn't give exp?! That's gotta be fixed by now right?

huh, this really goes in full detail about golden grin, this is actually quite helpful when I decide to do golden grin again. Also, it’s fine to use burglar right? I just think it’s overall better than hacker in stealth for most scenarios, since faster pager answer, bagging, and stuff like that, I just think it’s more overall beneficial for me.

Glad this guide can be helpful, good luck in your attempts, whenever you continue :) Burglar is fine, it's a very good starter perk deck, especially because it doesn't take any active inputs to be benefitial. When you get more used to stealth, Hacker will be better (check my video on Hacker 101) because it lets you be more proactive (easy multi kills of 2-3 guards, killing in front of cameras...) which overall makes your runs much faster (you never have to wait for a guard to move) and safer. But for now, Burglar is fine, absolutely! :)
@@Marcmb hmm, alright, yeah I’m still not that good at hacker in stealth rather than loud, so for now, i’ll use burglar but when i get better, i’ll be sure to check out hacker, and I did do an ecm rush of diamond store with some people from the official PAYDAY 2 discord, but they decided to answer the pagers when I said we could just leave since we already had the required amount of loot, but nevertheless, they decided to answer the pagers, and we only were 3 people, we all had hacker equipped except we used our mini ecms already so the 4th pager went off and it went loud. Then the host just decided to quit and we all left the discord channel, I was still confused on why we didn’t leave, but still, thanks for your helpful tips. Also, I didn’t even know there were staircases at 7:58
@@m_e6289 Sounds good! Whenever you make the switch, feel free to ask any questions about Hacker. Diamond Store is one of the easiest heists to rush, but sadly when rushing with random groups, coordination is a common issue. The best lobbies are those where the host is very proactive and manages the rush, so that if he types in chat "don't answer the pagers" the crew listens and just escapes, avoiding that kind of mistake. Finally, the staircases outside are all random, so they will not always be there. Very helpful when they are though! :)
@@Marcmb alright, sup, just wanted to update you with my attempts, I started again couple days ago, but every time I played stealth and failed, I just disliked golden grin more and more, i’ll probably try it again after I stop being bored of it, but the constant restarts are definitely tiring.
@@m_e6289 I see... in that case, I definitely recommend starting with other heists, don't worry about it! After you're able to solo medium heists like First World Bank and The Diamond, you'll have an easier time with the Casino! Also, even though you like Burglar for now, I definitely recommend switching to Hacker for this one in particular: clearing the staff areas while ignoring the cameras will make it a thousand times easier, and then the only risky part will be moving up and down the casino, which comes down to well-executed sprint-crouch-jumping!
I don’t get WHY I can’t do this. I’m perfectly capable of all the objectives, but I always lose to something really fucking stupid. Fall damage, coming face to face with a guard around seemingly every corner, the stupid fucking guard in the locker room, I literally don’t get what the fuck I’m doing wrong. This game just seems to hate it when I try to do stealth, and it sucks because it’s really fun on paper, but it’s so fucking tedious in practice. I don’t get why I can’t fucking do it, man.
Hi tremble! I see what you mean, many different things that can go wrong... I recommend working on them one by one: start by practicing your locker room movement to ensure you never get detected there (his waypoints & movements are very predictable, and it's easy to tell when it's safe to go through), then the fall damage (practice the jumps so that you won't fall off), and as for the blind corners it's all about completing the heist a few times and learning which paths are generally safer... good luck, and it sounds like you're almost there! :D
@@Marcmb i actually find that my issue with the locker room guard is bad rng and getting caught while I’m looking in the more exposed lockers. I have since modified my strategy to ignore it until cams are off, and save a pager for him. That way I can just have free access to the entire room. I no longer run Yakuza for this heist and fall damage has become less of an issue. Managed to get the DSOD solo stealth with all bags in under 30 minutes last night. Good enough for me, for now.
I see! Congrats on your all loot clear, well done! As for some simple tips to avoid using a pager on him, and reliably avoiding him: if you remember which lockers are eligible to contain the briefcase (only 6 of the 20), as shown at 9:05, then you only need to worry about him seeing you while opening SETS 2 & 3 (which takes about 2s, so not really a risk or a problem). For SETS 1, 5 & 6 you're hidden behind a wall, and for SET 4 you can hug the lockers and crouch, thus being too far from him to see you, even when he stands right in front of the locker room. For now you've already completed it which is plenty, but if you wanna improve on these aspects: best of luck! :)
Hey zzRedzz! You are absolutely right. It's so useful in pretty much all stealth heists, that I would consider it an essential "skill" that everyone should learn in order to be better at stealth!

Haha yeah! At that point in the heist, even if you trip the lasers, the van would still wait for you, so you're highly unlikely to fail. For this reason, I sometimes enjoy taking risks with the lasers, unless I'm XP farming and I really want the stealth bonus :p

Hey Noah! I just double-checked and that achievement is basically the speedrun achievement, for finishing in less than 14 minutes. The best tip of course is to do it in stealth, because it's much shorter than the loud drill process. If you follow all the general tips in this video, after a couple completions (when you're fully familiar with the heist), I think you'll manage to get a sub-14! But if you try this, and you find yourself needing a couple minutes saved, let me know and I'll find some good tips!
Hey Marc, i was leveling up a couple of hours ago for infamy 30 and started up ggc, did it all stealthy, got to the vault and pressed shift plus tab as a habit (steam friend panel thing)l but steam was closed so it froze my character and I couldn’t move and had to restart. Rip lol. Good video btw!
After a couple of runs of Casino, I found that the room can be on either side of the building. I think the employers' area spawn is the easier approach one, because my first successful solo run got that location. My next few runs got it on the reception side, and I forgot this is exactly what you got in this video, so i approached from a difficult route where lots of civvies are on the slot machine. I think I need more runs to be fluent playing this heist. Btw, I found there's an achievement where the player kills a specific npc and finish the heist, I ran into him accidentally going upstairs, but that run was failed, how unlucky.
Found a way to achieve it, using 5/7 AP pistol, the npc usually hangs around the main floor, look for him in the security room. Before escape, shoot him with AP pistol. Can put down ecm for safe escape.
Also noticed a mechanism: during one of my solo runs, I only found 1 guard in the staff area before I enter the vault. Since I also focus on the objectives rather than waiting them coming, i only killed that one guard I saw inside that area. When I go down the vault, there appears a ? and soon turned into !, glad I had hacker perk so that guy's call didn't go through, which also gives me time running up and kill him. I am not very familiar with the mechanisms of the Casino, my take is that guard sees open security office door, they get suspicious.
Hey Linzhi! By "room" I assume you mean the room that you open with a keycard, right? It can indeed spawn on either side: on top of the staff area, or on top of reception. I agree that the former is a bit easier mainly because the path to it is shorter so there's less moving around (and so less risk), but as you can see starting at 7:43 in the video, the only main difference is doing the trip from reception to staff area two more times, which can be done quite easily. As you mention, with more runs you'll get used to the safer routes, and avoid areas that have more civilians :) (especially the balconies, there's always so many civs gambling there!) I also see that you found by yourself one of the best ways to get the Elvis achievement, well done! Indeed, the safest strategy is waiting until you finish the heist (escape available) then placing an ECM, killing Elvis, and then escaping! Finally, regarding your final comment, there's 3 guards always patrolling the staff area (+1 who patrols the entire casino), so if you're not looking around for them it's possible that you will never see them in the entire heist! Because they can be in many different places (all the way to the metal detectors, or all the way back in the staff area, standing in a corner where you don't see them). The problem, as you already saw, is that they will spot the security room open, and become alerted, so killing them ahead of time (if possible) can sometimes be helpful. Other than that, if you react quickly and kill them as soon as they get alerted (before 3 seconds pass) then you can just deal with the situation with no risk... but if more than 3 seconds pass before you kill them, there's a 10% chance that the guard will shoot as he dies, which may be a bit unfortunate!
@@Marcmb Thanks for the info on the last bit, I almost forgot the alerted kill might set off their weapons(first heard of it in your conterfeit stealth), guess I was lucky, also that I haven't encounter the situation where this mechanism ruins my stealth.
@@linzhihan294 That's right! It's exactly the same reason that sometimes causes the shields in Counterfeit to shoot :) It's only a 10% chance that they will shoot, so it would be very unlucky if it happened - but it always feels so bad when it does happen! :D

Also, as you noticed, when going for all loot, just drop the Dentist's loot next to the van, without securing it until the very end! :D
Another addition to make is that opening the armory in loud gives you extra 2000 exp. So if you trigger the alarm on the lasers and then go and open the armory, it will give you slightly more experience at the cost of losing the stealth exp boost. I haven't really tested that one though, so I may be wrong. P.S. Since 2015 I've been masking up to pick up the gas. I NEVER knew you could pick it up with Chameleon aced, what... Could there have been a bug with the pick up back in the days that I got used to?
That's true, LunaYuki! You can also place the fireworks right after (just throw them in place, no need to ignite them) for another 2,000 base XP. Combined with the fact that the stealth bonus is only +10%, if you plan to do any heist with an XP reward lower than 40,000 base XP, then finishing the casino in loud is better for XP farming :) As for the question about 2015, I'm not really sure! That was so long ago, that I don't even remember how the skill trees looked back then, sorry :p

@@xlunayuki For sure yeah! It's likely that there was a bug/change at some point, especially considering that it's a 1s interaction, so there's not many of these you can pick up via Chameleon. Very hard to say though, since it was so long ago! As for Firestarter, I'll definitely be making a full guide in the future (with many examples, tips for all hangars and hangar combinations, good spots to launch bodies to save body bags, tricks to clean the hangars themselves...), but I want to start with the more "intended" stealth heists, as those will be useful to a wider range of heisters, and thus a bit more interesting! Especially the highly requested ones such as Scarface Mansion, Murky Station...
Hey GameIvan! Were you hosting, or was it someone else's lobby? You have the option of buying the "Van escape" (for 8 favors), so that the van will wait for you regardless of what happens, so that may have been the reason! Or it could be that unanswered pagers are treated similarly to the lasers being triggered, so the van doesn't leave if you're very close to finishing!

Hey, thanks to you I managed this heist in one go (after a long break). Unfortunately I encountered a bug: I open the director’s case (behind the painting) before the lens (two codes to find) appears and the lens did not update... so I try to enter the right red code (as Bain normally gives) and fortunately it worked after 3 tries !
That's good to hear Doma, glad the guide helped! Congrats on the completion :D As for the red code bug, this happens sometimes yup. Bain will give you the wrong code because his voicelines overlap... but after a couple of reboots he will give you the correct one eventually!
@@Marcmb I appreciate your answer :) Actually it's not the bug as already exposed in the video : In my case, Bain was not giving any red code because the objective "Find the 2 codes" was still not updated after I found them.

5 guards walk to the back section. after we have answered 4 pagers back there a 5th guy still walks in. I'm considering leaving the main rightside guard alive next time and killing all of the patrolling guards from the main floor and the left side guy since that's the business side of the building. I think this was made harder at some point because I used to solo stealth this all the time but it seems stupidly hard now for some reason. I have 2000 hours in game and have stealthed everything many times. And I have tried to do Golden Grin for 3 nights in a row now, fail after fail after fail. I don't know wtf happened but something is definitely different.
Hey Steven! If you perhaps changed your build, you might have forgotten about silent drills? If you place loud drills in the vault, guards from the main lobby might be lured in (if they walk above the vault), and if you place a loud drill in the manager's safe, the locker room guard might be lured up (if the locker room spawns close to it). Could that have been your issue? Especially if you're playing with multiple heisters, each with their separate stealth build, and each doing their own thing.

I personally always use it because it looks really nice, and it can also change a lot (visually, from a 1st player perspective) depending on the mods you use. If you want to reproduce this exact look, here's the list of mods that I use (probably the most common stealth Loco setup): · BARREL EXT: The Silent Killer Supressor. · GADGET: LED Combo. (if you don't have enough concealment, you can switch this one for a Compact Laser Module -- or just remove the gadget) · GRIP: Straight Grip. · MAGAZINE: Extended Magazine. · STOCK: Tactical Shorty Stock. · AMMUNITION: 000 Buckshot. · BOOST: Team Boost. · SKIN: the new "Crypto" color that was obtained from the now removed LockeBreacher puzzle -- the settings I chose for the color are Paint Scheme: Inverted; Wear: Mint-Condition; Pattern Scale: Medium!

@@KM-jb3vg Hey K M! I don't recognize all the names, but I do recognize some. The Raven, for example, is a *primary* shotgun, so you may be looking at the wrong category! The Locomotive 12G is a *secondary* shotgun, and it has been in the game since the very early patches, so it should be on console for sure!

That's a good one to save some time, yes! Considering that you're just waiting 15s for the list to download. I've seen some streamers that also use that 15s window to check the drink at the pool bar, which gives you information about the 4 drinks with very small time investment. Definitely a good use of those 15 seconds if you're going for a speedrun! However, for this video I mainly wanted to focus on tips for safe and efficient stealth (lowering the chance of failure as much as possible, to avoid any restarts even if you're 10 seconds slower) so I used the 15s to sit in a safe place and explain the civ mechanics for the room on the right :p I'll definitely mention these two things (and some more) if I do a series about speedrunning, as you suggested on your other comment! :)

The list of mods, if you want to reproduce the same look, is the following: · BARREL EXT: The Silent Killer Supressor. · GADGET: LED Combo. (if you want more concealment, you can switch this one for a Compact Laser Module -- or just remove the gadget) · GRIP: Straight Grip. · MAGAZINE: Extended Magazine. · STOCK: Tactical Shorty Stock. Everything else is empty (except for boost and ammunition, which have no effect on concealment. I use Team Boost and 000 Buckshot). Also, my weapon skin is Immortal Python (unlocked at 1,000 achievements). However, note that your choice of shotgun and mods should not affect how they launch enemies (the exception being certain ammo types, namely Dragon's Breath, AP Slug, and HE rounds, which remove the launch effect). In order for the launch to work, you have to be at 5m or less from the enemy. The launch distance increases as you get closer (capped at 2.5m), but if you go way too close and shoot while you're physically inside the enemy, they will drop right on the spot (no launch). Also the angle at which you shoot your weapon also has an important effect. I hope this helps :) Thanks for watching, and hope you enjoyed the video!

Glad you're liking the content, I'll do my best to keep it up :) As for my HUD, it's a combination of _PocoHud3_ and _Additional PocoHud trackers._ The former is responsible for the ECM timers, as well as the floating timers for drills, time locks, hacks, pagers... (whenever they are present). It also includes other on-screen numbers such as: FPS meter, IRL clock, levels right next to player names, and some numbers for each player which are "Kills | Jokered enemies | Current downs | Maximum downs (before custody)". The mod is very customizable and everything can be toggled on and off, depending on what you want! As for the latter, _Additional PocoHud trackers,_ I mainly use it for the 3.5s countdown before Sixth sense triggers, but it will also show you trackers for all kinds of things (any skill which has a duration or cooldown). Much like the previous one, everything can be toggled on and off! Very nice HUD so if you like it, I definitely recommend it!! Note that the 2nd one isn't necessary if you don't need the extras that I described, but it's very nice to have as well.
I saw they finally updated it, yes!!! For solo you shouldn't secure all of them (for time efficiency), but the painting definitely, and some bags while waiting for the drill as well. For co-op, you can secure a lot more, while waiting for the drill!
i had some questions in mind about GGC, maybe someone from the comment section knows the answer: 1: what if i misopen the hotel room (keycard lost)? 2: Bain says that code from the vault opens armory room in lockers, so can we open it in stealth, is it useful, and will the locker guard notice it?
Interesting questions, XiRouz! (1) You can't open the wrong room using the keycard -- if you attempt it, you will only hear a light beeping, and see a red light, indicating that the keycard doesn't work on that door. (2) It's the same code, yup! Guard doesn't notice it, but it doesn't have any uses in stealth generally...

Hey Zapato! Thank you, glad you liked the video! My reason for using the Locomotive is, very simply, personal preference! Many heisters prefer (and recommend) the Judge because it can reach slightly higher concealment values; but when you have some basic concealment mods for your weapons, you can reach a detection rating of 3 with many different weapons. Thus, since detection rating isn't a problem for me, I use the Locomotive because it looks better in my opinion! As simple as that :)

For the second question: it's not necessary, but it allows you to reposition them better, and also makes sure that the next guard won't shoot on sight (see my top video in my channel titled "Why do guards shoot during stealth"). As for the first question, the shotgun is the Locomotive 12G: free and available for both PC and console. If you want to see the list of weapon mods, check out my "saw build" video in the description, which shows the weapon+attachments!

Bonus Tip for #4. You only have to check 1 bottle colour. The bottles will always spawn in the order of RED, GREEN, BLUE, PINK. So as long as you check one colour you know the rest. The order of spawn spots is POOL, VIP BAR, TERRACE (Above VIP bar). Note, The colour pattern can start at any of the 4 bottle spawns, but will always follow the same order, no matter where the RED bottle is, BLUE is next, than GREEN, than PINK.
Ex. Bar is PINK, you can automatically know that above the bar is RED and GREEN and the pool has BLUE.

Combined with the tip for spotting the correct gambler (and simply checking his drink), you can be done with all these objectives within 10-15 seconds of entering the Casino, without even masking up and with barely any effort. Thanks once again for the great tip! :D
How do I know who’s drink is whose? There are 4 colors, yet 2 possible gamblers?
@@kickass1437 There will be a guard that never moves near the correct gambler. He shows both spots to look at 0:45. When you see which side the guard is, check that gamblers bottle and that's the colour that needs to be spiked.

- finding the proper gambler is done by checking the stationary guards, TIP #2 at 0:45.
- finding his drink color is done by looking on the spot where that gambler will be later on in the heist, TIP #3 at 1:08.
- figuring out which bar has that drink is done by using StanchestSword's pinned comment.
Identifying the civ with the keycard and searching for the drinks before you mask up honestly is a game-changer for my approach. This video is INCREDIBLY helpful and quite thorough.
Hey CuppaBro! That's definitely one of my best tips :) I used to check the drinks for both civs and type in the chat where each of their drinks was found (having that information is very helpful for the objectives), but simplifying it to checking just one drink and its location makes it much faster and less confusing :p Plus you don't have to wait in the server room until the civ shows up on the screen!

Finally beat this one at 1Hr 17m and it feels so good. I had let a lobby in over 10 times assuming they'd be pretty good at the game but we never even got past the USB part because people did the stupidest stuff and got caught. The tip for casing the drink helped immensely because I only ever got caught during the drink part of the mission. Thank you so much dude!

What you're describing happens a lot too... many objectives on GGC are better solo, because they're so easy to mess up with everyone doing their thing!

I'm a big fan of checking the drink color only for the guest that has the keycard, and then finding which bar has his drink before even masking up :)
I was once about to finish this heist and getting the last bit of loot and I fell down the elevator. I haven't played it since
Ouch, that one hurts to read! Very unfortunate!
I have two suggestions for that kind of situation, but they are very bizarre :p
(A) Bring a primary weapon without a silencer. Since most heists are completed using just a secondary weapon (usually shotgun), this will allow you to have a way to make the heist go loud if you die to fall damage. After it goes loud, the bots will try to get to you as fast as possible, and hopefully revive you on time...!
(B) Make a stealth profile for Golden Grin stealth, with First Aid Kits as a deployable... waste 12 skill points on acing the "UPPERS" skill in Mastermind, and place some FAKs under the elevator. If you fall again by mistake, the FAKs will instantly heal you and prevent you from dying to the fall damage :p

Glad you enjoyed the tips, thank you! The locker one is worth remembering (if you can understand the explained logic behind the order, otherwise remembering each locker individually is rather complex), because you find the code faster and there's less risk of the locker guard spotting you :)
And the one for the gambler is very nice too! Saves me a lot of work for the initial scouting of the drinks and their locations.
@TypeLuo Little bit late but if you haven't been completely incapacitated(like when a cloaker kicks you), you can shout at a bot and they'll drop what they're doing to run to you faster.
Good luck if you get shot again and the bot forgets again though.

Those two tips are definitely the highlight of the video for me - most of the tips are basic tips to explain the essentials of stealth in this heist, but those two are a bit more elaborated and many players don't know them!
I’ve never known of/thought of using the Smoking Area outdoor staircase and V.I.P. Room as safer shortcuts to get upstairs. I’d always just linger by a slot machine for an opening to sprint jump towards the main staircase or Reception. The lockers and pre-determined guest guards are also very good to know. This was fun to watch. :)

The lockers and guest guards are indeed some of the best tips for this heist, in my opinion! As for the main staircase, it can be used when there are no exterior staircases, but the exterior ones are quite a bit safer! Definitely recommend :D

Keep in mind though, that securing the money bags in this heist doesn't have an XP reward -- so generally the additional loot is skipped here!
Excellent review. I do want to mention two things:
1. There's frequently a guard that is bugged and goes stationary on the northeast quadrant of the upper level of the casino, overlooking the floor (I've not mapped the spawns to tell exactly which he is, or why it happens). This guard blocks off a number of routes through that area, and once you're familiar with his "stuck spot", you can recognize and work around it more conventiently.
2. The bathroom on the pool side is significantly less safe, as civilians and the "whole casino" guard can both path through it.

(1) You are absolutely correct. He is there very frequently, so he was a pain when we were recording the video for Golden Grin ECM rushing. I'm pretty sure he's the guard that patrols the entire upstairs area, but I've never confirmed it!
(2) I agree with this, for sure! I would've mentioned it if the gambler on this try was the purple shirt civ, but sadly I didn't want to make a double-length video because it seems like low effort when the videos are too long!
Personally, I wait hidden behind the pillar in that bathroom, which allows you to see his yellow outline (while not being seen by civs that walk in). If he's going towards the sink, I let him walk in, but if he's going outside, I move out of hiding and shotgun-launch him before he has a chance to go outside. Works very well for me!

So, last night I finally climbed this mountain and I probably watched this video for reference more times than I actually attempted the heist (both of these are still double digit numbers, I'm not *that* good). I call it a mountain because every time I mentioned clearing another heist on DSOD solo stealth, a very common response was something to the effect of "That's neat, now do Golden Grin." So I did.
Being able to check which guest I care about and where his drink is within the first minute was invaluable, along with everything else, particularly routes across the huge hall. Just about everything mentioned here was of great help and I quite appreciate how you put it all into simple easy-to-follow instructions complete with gameplay examples. Also, it surprised me how much easier things got after I got past spiking the drink. Almost made me wonder what all the fuss was about. Almost.

Bruh I just now noticed you made a guide on this heist. Regularly it wouldn’t be something that I would be “mad” about, but considering I stayed up until 12:30 A.M. (I started trying at like 9: 40-ish, I’m mad I didn’t see this. I mean I can at least do solo stealth golden grin still but it would have been so much easier if I had seen this. If there is one thing I learned ever since I subscribed it is, Marcmb knows what to do. At least I learned about pre-checking the drink. Seriously that helped a ton. Back when I didn’t know I literally would just run around not know where the guy is then realized he was on the other side. Good work as always though! 👍

Pre-checking the drink is indeed one of the best things you can learn from this video: being able to tell which gambler has the keycard, and quickly finding his drink before masking up, will make your runs much smoother :)

I'd say that this heist is one of the most hard to stealth solo (apart from the ones like firestarter), the other one being breaking feds.
However, after some playthroughs, it becomes just as easy as other heists, since you get used to all the little details. Only breaking feds is always hard
Haha, never give up! What I used to like the most about stealth when I was learning it, was restarting over and over until I understood how certain heists work :p
I can definitely see why people struggle with this one, so I hope the video will be helpful for those players! As for Breakin' Feds, my best tip is to check where the Security Office (camera room) has spawned (as soon as you go through the security barrier, without taking any risks), and with that information I just kill the three guards on that side of the map and the rest becomes very easy!

I always try to guess roughly where the computer must be depending on where I hear the sound, but two of the server rooms are so far that it's almost impossible... luckily whenever I play Big Bank I pretty much always do it duo, and then it becomes a really fun map :p

as a player who has beaten diamond heist solo on ds:od, I can give you a few tips, I don’t know if you can really call these tips, since i don’t know much about diamond heist, but for laptops, 1 of them will be most likely on the opposite side of the map, if you go to the roof, (if your solo) and you look around you’ll see a 2nd entrance, and if you go down there, there will be a laptop spawn, it’s in a dark office room. And another spawn I think is where you actually spawn at, it’s to the left side of the room you spawn in. And the spawn room i’m talking about is like brightly lit and it’s left of the vault. I don’t know if you understand since that’s the only place where I spawn in. And the guy with the keycard you need for the vault has a white suit, he looks like a mobster from the hotline miami heist, except he’s just a civ. And if you walk up the stairs, (the one where there’s no numbering for the floors,he sometimes walks around there so its an easy kill where you don’t have to worry about guards.
1 more tip: it is necessary to kill the Delivery room side(Secure cash easily) guard but unnecessary to kill Server room side guard. Just to save a pager for an unfortunate event :)
That's a nice tip! It's definitely a matter of playstyle: some players don't kill any of the guards in the staff areas because they would rather not waste time answering the pagers, but I like recommending killing all four because then players can freely move through the staff areas without worrying about anything :p
@@Marcmb old Video I know, but if you kill 4 guards at the beginning. Does a 5th one come along when you are taking too long to secure all the money? Or is it really only 4 guards back there?

Hey DeltaGamer! That tip is easily one of the two best tips I had to offer for this heist :) It makes everything so much easier because you only have to check one drink (which you can very quickly check before masking up) and then the drink objectives become so much easier.
The locations of the 6 good lockers is also a good one (and a good time-saver), although that one requires a bit more memory :p
@@Marcmb I thought the lockers were completely random before! It's nice knowing I can save time on that when the pesky guard can walk over any time
@@cottoneyejoe8285 Yeah! There's only 6 lockers that may contain the briefcase, and the other 14 are always empty. Huge time save, and also considerably safer because you don't spend as much time opening lockers in a position where the guard will spot you if he walks up to the door.
Personally I think the 6 positions are easy to remember using the explanation at 8:49, but some players prefer just opening all 20 until they find the briefcase and that's ok too :p

It does in the Gta online, while the heist is pretty ok, there's (obviously for rockstar) a paywall in order to reach it.
Game needs you to buy any arcade, which is pucharsable on site of mazebank foreclosures after you go to the green "L" on the map (no idea when it spawns), but when it comes to it, never choose the cheapest one in Paleto Bay as you have to do many setup missions which almost always spawn in the Los Santos, i personally recommend the Videogeddon one.
For the profit side, it's probably one of the grinders' favourite toy ;p
Well i didn't mean to "spoil" the entire heist, but if you want to play it, do it in public lobby ;p, it just takes super long to get everything done.
Still don't forget this is Gta, not Payday, the stealth mechanics are super bad.
I would say that playing heists with randoms in GTA Online is more painful than stealthing first day of Firestarter in Solo.
Haha yeah i have to agree, especially after many players joined due to the game being free on Epic Games Store, every heist with randoms in Gta is pretty difficult especially like Deliver EMP setup one, but i wouldn't recommend spend that much time to play the heist as a host, if the host could buy an arcade and do setups, then i guess he knows what he's doing! ;p

Don't know if this deserves a mention (or if anyone else has already mentioned it) but it's actually possible to kill the card civvy right at the beginning of the heist by triggering slow mo via putting on your mask and quickly killing/bagging him (having concealment 3 is important) and then sneaking to the nearest toilet room. This allows you to skip half of the heist and proceed straight to gassing the security room.
Very true, _No thoughts, head empty!_ You can skip all the way to the end if you pull that off. There's some videos uploaded where players have done it, but I can't find the link right now :(

The spy cam asset is a rather flawed asset in this heist, the main hall ones have a glaring blind zone (around the part bellow the second floor balconies under the spycam position, they can't spot guards around that angle of their FoV).
Spotter has limited service as they only serve a purpose IF the external staircase spawns there...
Hey Andre! Indeed, they are very very limited... for this reason, I only recommend getting them with the leftover favors, and I suggest other options such as disabling metal detectors or getting body bags instead.
They have A LOT of blind spots so they are barely ever marking anyone... but on the occasions where they do mark someone and give you a bit of information, they are nice to have, so they are still my go-to with the leftover favors :p

I feel like that it’s worth mentioning that on overkill difficulty the 4th guard can be permanently banished to gay baby jail (aka the locker room). He’ll never leave that room, even if the door is unlocked or open, and just wander aimlessly without any risk to the heist.

The bug you're describing seems very unusual. Are you able to play any heists before it crashes? Is there any common factor between all your crashes? Do you have any mods?
@@Marcmb No mods, like i would open it on steam and it wouldnt even load just says now playing and auto closes.
@@SymphonisXD Oh! In that case, go to your PAYDAY 2 folder (in Steam/steamapps/common/PAYDAY 2) and make sure that there's no WSOK32.dll and no IPHLPAPI.dll.
They are very small files and it's very easy to miss them, but if you ever used mods at some point, it's likely that these files remained in the folder and they will crash your game instantly (like you're describing) if they're left in the folder, unupdated. So check if maybe it's because of one of these two files!

I essentially use always Hacker, especially when playing with a crew (for extended ECM rushes of 6 minutes rather than 4). Sometimes I play Yakuza when I need the extra movement speed, but I very rarely use Burglar. The faster bagging speed is cool, but one of its strong points is that it can easily answer two pagers in quick succession (because of the faster pager answers), while Hacker can easily have the same effect while having more utility. So summarized answer: Yakuza if I want speed, Hacker otherwise by default!
I think I knew everything except knowing who has the keycards at the beginning. That's so useful. I usually looked at both drinks and then just found all the spawn locations. I also didn't know about the briefcase locker locations, I'll keep that in mind. I also didn't know that extra loot doesn't give exp?! That's gotta be fixed by now right?
Hey Mateo! The EXP is still not fixed unfortunately :( securing the money bags is fun, but useless as far as EXP rewards are concerned! Hoping it can be fixed eventually, would make the heist A LOT more interesting because everyone would agree to moving the bags :)

Burglar is fine, it's a very good starter perk deck, especially because it doesn't take any active inputs to be benefitial.
When you get more used to stealth, Hacker will be better (check my video on Hacker 101) because it lets you be more proactive (easy multi kills of 2-3 guards, killing in front of cameras...) which overall makes your runs much faster (you never have to wait for a guard to move) and safer.
But for now, Burglar is fine, absolutely! :)
@@Marcmb hmm, alright, yeah I’m still not that good at hacker in stealth rather than loud, so for now, i’ll use burglar but when i get better, i’ll be sure to check out hacker, and I did do an ecm rush of diamond store with some people from the official PAYDAY 2 discord, but they decided to answer the pagers when I said we could just leave since we already had the required amount of loot, but nevertheless, they decided to answer the pagers, and we only were 3 people, we all had hacker equipped except we used our mini ecms already so the 4th pager went off and it went loud. Diamond Store is one of the easiest heists to rush, but sadly when rushing with random groups, coordination is a common issue. The best lobbies are those where the host is very proactive and manages the rush, so that if he types in chat "don't answer the pagers" the crew listens and just escapes, avoiding that kind of mistake.
Finally, the staircases outside are all random, so they will not always be there. Very helpful when they are though! :)
@@Marcmb alright, sup, just wanted to update you with my attempts, I started again couple days ago, but every time I played stealth and failed, I just disliked golden grin more and more, i’ll probably try it again after I stop being bored of it, but the constant restarts are definitely tiring.
@@m_e6289 I see... in that case, I definitely recommend starting with other heists, don't worry about it! After you're able to solo medium heists like First World Bank and The Diamond, you'll have an easier time with the Casino!
Also, even though you like Burglar for now, I definitely recommend switching to Hacker for this one in particular: clearing the staff areas while ignoring the cameras will make it a thousand times easier, and then the only risky part will be moving up and down the casino, which comes down to well-executed sprint-crouch-jumping!

I don’t get WHY I can’t do this. I’m perfectly capable of all the objectives, but I always lose to something really fucking stupid. Fall damage, coming face to face with a guard around seemingly every corner, the stupid fucking guard in the locker room, I literally don’t get what the fuck I’m doing wrong. This game just seems to hate it when I try to do stealth, and it sucks because it’s really fun on paper, but it’s so fucking tedious in practice. I don’t get why I can’t fucking do it, man.
Hi tremble! I see what you mean, many different things that can go wrong... I recommend working on them one by one: start by practicing your locker room movement to ensure you never get detected there (his waypoints & movements are very predictable, and it's easy to tell when it's safe to go through), then the fall damage (practice the jumps so that you won't fall off), and as for the blind corners it's all about completing the heist a few times and learning which paths are generally safer... good luck, and it sounds like you're almost there! :D
@@Marcmb i actually find that my issue with the locker room guard is bad rng and getting caught while I’m looking in the more exposed lockers. I have since modified my strategy to ignore it until cams are off, and save a pager for him. That way I can just have free access to the entire room. I no longer run Yakuza for this heist and fall damage has become less of an issue. Managed to get the DSOD solo stealth with all bags in under 30 minutes last night. Good enough for me, for now.
I see! Congrats on your all loot clear, well done! As for some simple tips to avoid using a pager on him, and reliably avoiding him: if you remember which lockers are eligible to contain the briefcase (only 6 of the 20), as shown at 9:05, then you only need to worry about him seeing you while opening SETS 2 & 3 (which takes about 2s, so not really a risk or a problem). For SETS 1, 5 & 6 you're hidden behind a wall, and for SET 4 you can hug the lockers and crouch, thus being too far from him to see you, even when he stands right in front of the locker room.
For now you've already completed it which is plenty, but if you wanna improve on these aspects: best of luck! :)

Haha yeah! At that point in the heist, even if you trip the lasers, the van would still wait for you, so you're highly unlikely to fail.
For this reason, I sometimes enjoy taking risks with the lasers, unless I'm XP farming and I really want the stealth bonus :p

Hey Noah! I just double-checked and that achievement is basically the speedrun achievement, for finishing in less than 14 minutes.
The best tip of course is to do it in stealth, because it's much shorter than the loud drill process. If you follow all the general tips in this video, after a couple completions (when you're fully familiar with the heist), I think you'll manage to get a sub-14!
But if you try this, and you find yourself needing a couple minutes saved, let me know and I'll find some good tips!
Hey Marc, i was leveling up a couple of hours ago for infamy 30 and started up ggc, did it all stealthy, got to the vault and pressed shift plus tab as a habit (steam friend panel thing)l but steam was closed so it froze my character and I couldn’t move and had to restart. Rip lol. Good video btw!

After a couple of runs of Casino, I found that the room can be on either side of the building. I think the employers' area spawn is the easier approach one, because my first successful solo run got that location. My next few runs got it on the reception side, and I forgot this is exactly what you got in this video, so i approached from a difficult route where lots of civvies are on the slot machine. I think I need more runs to be fluent playing this heist. Btw, I found there's an achievement where the player kills a specific npc and finish the heist, I ran into him accidentally going upstairs, but that run was failed, how unlucky.
Found a way to achieve it, using 5/7 AP pistol, the npc usually hangs around the main floor, look for him in the security room. Before escape, shoot him with AP pistol. Can put down ecm for safe escape.
Also noticed a mechanism: during one of my solo runs, I only found 1 guard in the staff area before I enter the vault. Since I also focus on the objectives rather than waiting them coming, i only killed that one guard I saw inside that area. When I go down the vault, there appears a ? and soon turned into !, glad I had hacker perk so that guy's call didn't go through, which also gives me time running up and kill him. I am not very familiar with the mechanisms of the Casino, my take is that guard sees open security office door, they get suspicious.
Hey Linzhi! By "room" I assume you mean the room that you open with a keycard, right? It can indeed spawn on either side: on top of the staff area, or on top of reception. I agree that the former is a bit easier mainly because the path to it is shorter so there's less moving around (and so less risk), but as you can see starting at 7:43 in the video, the only main difference is doing the trip from reception to staff area two more times, which can be done quite easily. As you mention, with more runs you'll get used to the safer routes, and avoid areas that have more civilians :) (especially the balconies, there's always so many civs gambling there!)
I also see that you found by yourself one of the best ways to get the Elvis achievement, well done! Indeed, the safest strategy is waiting until you finish the heist (escape available) then placing an ECM, killing Elvis, and then escaping!
Finally, regarding your final comment, there's 3 guards always patrolling the staff area (+1 who patrols the entire casino), so if you're not looking around for them it's possible that you will never see them in the entire heist! Because they can be in many different places (all the way to the metal detectors, or all the way back in the staff area, standing in a corner where you don't see them). The problem, as you already saw, is that they will spot the security room open, and become alerted, so killing them ahead of time (if possible) can sometimes be helpful. Other than that, if you react quickly and kill them as soon as they get alerted (before 3 seconds pass) then you can just deal with the situation with no risk... but if more than 3 seconds pass before you kill them, there's a 10% chance that the guard will shoot as he dies, which may be a bit unfortunate!
@@Marcmb Thanks for the info on the last bit, I almost forgot the alerted kill might set off their weapons(first heard of it in your conterfeit stealth), guess I was lucky, also that I haven't encounter the situation where this mechanism ruins my stealth.
@@linzhihan294 That's right! It's exactly the same reason that sometimes causes the shields in Counterfeit to shoot :)
It's only a 10% chance that they will shoot, so it would be very unlucky if it happened - but it always feels so bad when it does happen! :D

Also, as you noticed, when going for all loot, just drop the Dentist's loot next to the van, without securing it until the very end! :D
Another addition to make is that opening the armory in loud gives you extra 2000 exp. So if you trigger the alarm on the lasers and then go and open the armory, it will give you slightly more experience at the cost of losing the stealth exp boost. I haven't really tested that one though, so I may be wrong.
P.S. Since 2015 I've been masking up to pick up the gas. I NEVER knew you could pick it up with Chameleon aced, what... Could there have been a bug with the pick up back in the days that I got used to?
That's true, LunaYuki! You can also place the fireworks right after (just throw them in place, no need to ignite them) for another 2,000 base XP.
Combined with the fact that the stealth bonus is only +10%, if you plan to do any heist with an XP reward lower than 40,000 base XP, then finishing the casino in loud is better for XP farming :)
As for the question about 2015, I'm not really sure! That was so long ago, that I don't even remember how the skill trees looked back then, sorry :p

@@xlunayuki For sure yeah! It's likely that there was a bug/change at some point, especially considering that it's a 1s interaction, so there's not many of these you can pick up via Chameleon. Very hard to say though, since it was so long ago!
As for Firestarter, I'll definitely be making a full guide in the future (with many examples, tips for all hangars and hangar combinations, good spots to launch bodies to save body bags, tricks to clean the hangars themselves...), but I want to start with the more "intended" stealth heists, as those will be useful to a wider range of heisters, and thus a bit more interesting! Especially the highly requested ones such as Scarface Mansion, Murky Station...

Hey GameIvan! Were you hosting, or was it someone else's lobby? You have the option of buying the "Van escape" (for 8 favors), so that the van will wait for you regardless of what happens, so that may have been the reason!
Or it could be that unanswered pagers are treated similarly to the lasers being triggered, so the van doesn't leave if you're very close to finishing!

Unfortunately I encountered a bug: I open the director’s case (behind the painting) before the lens (two codes to find) appears and the lens did not update... so I try to enter the right red code (as Bain normally gives) and fortunately it worked after 3 tries !

As for the red code bug, this happens sometimes yup. Bain will give you the wrong code because his voicelines overlap... but after a couple of reboots he will give you the correct one eventually!

Actually it's not the bug as already exposed in the video : In my case, Bain was not giving any red code because the objective "Find the 2 codes" was still not updated after I found them.

5 guards walk to the back section. after we have answered 4 pagers back there a 5th guy still walks in.
I'm considering leaving the main rightside guard alive next time and killing all of the patrolling guards from the main floor and the left side guy since that's the business side of the building. I think this was made harder at some point because I used to solo stealth this all the time but it seems stupidly hard now for some reason. I have 2000 hours in game and have stealthed everything many times. And I have tried to do Golden Grin for 3 nights in a row now, fail after fail after fail. I don't know wtf happened but something is definitely different.
Hey Steven! If you perhaps changed your build, you might have forgotten about silent drills?
If you place loud drills in the vault, guards from the main lobby might be lured in (if they walk above the vault), and if you place a loud drill in the manager's safe, the locker room guard might be lured up (if the locker room spawns close to it).
Could that have been your issue? Especially if you're playing with multiple heisters, each with their separate stealth build, and each doing their own thing.
What shotgun do you use just out of curiosity. This guide was really super helpful too I was able to beat death sentence on here thanks to it

As for my shotgun, that's the Locomotive 12G, a very useful stealth shotgun. I personally always use it because it looks really nice, and it can also change a lot (visually, from a 1st player perspective) depending on the mods you use. If you want to reproduce this exact look, here's the list of mods that I use (probably the most common stealth Loco setup):
· BARREL EXT: The Silent Killer Supressor.
· GADGET: LED Combo. (if you don't have enough concealment, you can switch this one for a Compact Laser Module -- or just remove the gadget)
· GRIP: Straight Grip.
· MAGAZINE: Extended Magazine.
· STOCK: Tactical Shorty Stock.
· AMMUNITION: 000 Buckshot.
· BOOST: Team Boost.
· SKIN: the new "Crypto" color that was obtained from the now removed LockeBreacher puzzle -- the settings I chose for the color are Paint Scheme: Inverted; Wear: Mint-Condition; Pattern Scale: Medium!

@@KM-jb3vg Hey K M! I don't recognize all the names, but I do recognize some. The Raven, for example, is a *primary* shotgun, so you may be looking at the wrong category! The Locomotive 12G is a *secondary* shotgun, and it has been in the game since the very early patches, so it should be on console for sure!

That's a good one to save some time, yes! Considering that you're just waiting 15s for the list to download.
I've seen some streamers that also use that 15s window to check the drink at the pool bar, which gives you information about the 4 drinks with very small time investment. Definitely a good use of those 15 seconds if you're going for a speedrun!
However, for this video I mainly wanted to focus on tips for safe and efficient stealth (lowering the chance of failure as much as possible, to avoid any restarts even if you're 10 seconds slower) so I used the 15s to sit in a safe place and explain the civ mechanics for the room on the right :p
I'll definitely mention these two things (and some more) if I do a series about speedrunning, as you suggested on your other comment! :)

Hey Pleckso! That's a Locomotive 12G, a very useful stealth shotgun. The list of mods, if you want to reproduce the same look, is the following:
· BARREL EXT: The Silent Killer Supressor.
· GADGET: LED Combo. (if you want more concealment, you can switch this one for a Compact Laser Module -- or just remove the gadget)
· GRIP: Straight Grip.
· MAGAZINE: Extended Magazine.
· STOCK: Tactical Shorty Stock.
Everything else is empty (except for boost and ammunition, which have no effect on concealment. I use Team Boost and 000 Buckshot). Also, my weapon skin is Immortal Python (unlocked at 1,000 achievements).
However, note that your choice of shotgun and mods should not affect how they launch enemies (the exception being certain ammo types, namely Dragon's Breath, AP Slug, and HE rounds, which remove the launch effect). In order for the launch to work, you have to be at 5m or less from the enemy. The launch distance increases as you get closer (capped at 2.5m), but if you go way too close and shoot while you're physically inside the enemy, they will drop right on the spot (no launch). Also the angle at which you shoot your weapon also has an important effect.

As for my HUD, it's a combination of _PocoHud3_ and _Additional PocoHud trackers._
The former is responsible for the ECM timers, as well as the floating timers for drills, time locks, hacks, pagers... (whenever they are present). It also includes other on-screen numbers such as: FPS meter, IRL clock, levels right next to player names, and some numbers for each player which are "Kills | Jokered enemies | Current downs | Maximum downs (before custody)". The mod is very customizable and everything can be toggled on and off, depending on what you want!
As for the latter, _Additional PocoHud trackers,_ I mainly use it for the 3.5s countdown before Sixth sense triggers, but it will also show you trackers for all kinds of things (any skill which has a duration or cooldown). Much like the previous one, everything can be toggled on and off!
Very nice HUD so if you like it, I definitely recommend it!! Note that the 2nd one isn't necessary if you don't need the extras that I described, but it's very nice to have as well.

I saw they finally updated it, yes!!! For solo you shouldn't secure all of them (for time efficiency), but the painting definitely, and some bags while waiting for the drill as well. For co-op, you can secure a lot more, while waiting for the drill!
I usually secure two money bags and the painting in my solo runs, that's about as much as you can secure while waiting for the last drill
i had some questions in mind about GGC, maybe someone from the comment section knows the answer:
1: what if i misopen the hotel room (keycard lost)?
2: Bain says that code from the vault opens armory room in lockers, so can we open it in stealth, is it useful, and will the locker guard notice it?
Interesting questions, XiRouz!
(1) You can't open the wrong room using the keycard -- if you attempt it, you will only hear a light beeping, and see a red light, indicating that the keycard doesn't work on that door.
(2) It's the same code, yup! Guard doesn't notice it, but it doesn't have any uses in stealth generally...
By the way, if the civ with the room key goes outside, you can shoot him over the wall to save a body bag :)

My reason for using the Locomotive is, very simply, personal preference! Many heisters prefer (and recommend) the Judge because it can reach slightly higher concealment values; but when you have some basic concealment mods for your weapons, you can reach a detection rating of 3 with many different weapons.
Thus, since detection rating isn't a problem for me, I use the Locomotive because it looks better in my opinion! As simple as that :)

Hey Mozzie! For the second question: it's not necessary, but it allows you to reposition them better, and also makes sure that the next guard won't shoot on sight (see my top video in my channel titled "Why do guards shoot during stealth").
