Haha, thank you very much, Mike! Much appreciated :) I'm having a lot of fun teaching everything I know about stealth, and introducing heisters to less-known mechanics, and different playstyles :D

@@Marcmb I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but are you or were you at any point using amphetamines? Because a description like that doesn‘t come out of nowhere.
That would be amazing! It would be nice if someone from Overkill saw one of these guides and found it interesting :p for now, I'm just glad that the response of the community to these guides has been amazing so far! :D
Thank you for the in depth heists. I had just gotten back into payday 2 after a long hiatus (last time I played was Goat Simulator DLC) and everything seemed so new. Your heists helped me get back into the fray. You are amazing!
No problem Cap'n Kronk! And also thank you -- I'm glad that the in-depth videos are being helpful! Personally I'm having a lot of fun teaching about stealth, going into detail about many different things. Enjoy your return to PAYDAY, and good luck in your heists! :)
Thank you very much!! I'm glad you liked this guide, too :) I personally also love this heist, it's very fun to do and feels very rewarding to pull off succesfully, with a great escape that is better done with ECM rushing to move the 20 bags quickly. Unfortunately, it's very hard to play on public lobbies because people never follow a set strategy, everyone does their own thing and eventually someone makes a mistake and the heist fails :( Hopefully the guide will change this, at least for a few Crime.NET lobbies!

Dammit, I spent like 4 hours the other day trying to do this and there was always some minor slip up... frustrating, but I'm gonna make it sooner or later!
With this strategy, the chance for a slip up should be much lower than usual (getting rid of all 5 guards who patrol around the train), so have fun mastering it, and if you run into anything unexpected or need help, let me know! :D
Hey Skeetman! Thank you very much, glad you're liking the strategies! :) There's one more coming this evening which is gonna be great for experience farming, so stay tuned! :p
Did this on DSOD for a weekly challenge and it was kinda painful. But I’ve always liked this heist and should be interesting to try it again with these tips
It can be kinda painful indeed. I always use this strategy because getting rid of the 5 guards around the train makes it a lot more straightforward. If you do have time to try it out with these tips, have fun and good luck! :)
Thank you Karma, much appreciated! The channel has been growing a lot since we shared the Counterfeit stealth printing strategy, so we're very happy about that! :D
After showing this and the counterfeit one to my friend he is officially never going to play payday with me ever again xD Keep breaking the game love it
Hahahah that's great! I'm thankful that you enjoy these strategies so much :p Keep insisting to your friend until he joins the dark side! Everything is much better here :D
@@dbldt Oooh, interesting! You should tell him something like "these are not exploits, we're just using the way that the cop AI was written to our advantage, but every rule set by Overkill about cop behavior is still being respected", and see what he thinks of that :p
@@dbldt Hehheh, that's too bad :p Thank you for enjoying the strategies anyway! Thank you Lord Heorg! I'm glad that you liked this strategy, it is indeed very useful because it completely removes the risk of loot moving by getting rid of the 5 guards patrolling around the train!
Loving your guides, man! But I'd love to know what your skill loadout looks like, and also what attachments you have on that locomotive because it seems incredibly effective
Hey Tele Ze Rainbow Derp! My usual skill build can be seen at the end of my Hoxton Revenge video: ruclips.net/video/tfqnjab_SJY/видео.html For this Train heist I remove the drill skills because I want them to be loud. Here's the list of mods I use for my Locomotive 12G (which is probably the most common set of mods for a stealth Loco): · BARREL EXT: The Silent Killer Supressor. · GADGET: Compact Laser Module. · GRIP: Straight Grip. · MAGAZINE: Extended Magazine. · STOCK: Tactical Shorty Stock. Everything else is empty (except for boost and ammunition, which have no effect on the appearance. I use Team Boost and 000 Buckshot).
That body bag trick doesn't seem to work anymore, unless i was stupid and put it in the wrong spot on the back car but as far as i could tell it should have worked but instead the second the last guy saw hit he sounded the alarm and 25 minutes went down the drain
Got back on the horse and pulled it off the next go around without trying the body bag trick, truck spawn almost did me in but after 44 minutes i strolled my happy ass out of there, never have to touch this thing again, thanks for the tips
Hey Skela! The body bag tricks still work, but there's quite a lot that goes into understanding everything that can go slightly differently, and how to deal with it... glad the tips helped you pull this off without the trick though! That's great too :)
hey! idk if you'll see this but i just finished my first solo stealth dsod run of this heist and i encountered another way to do the 5th guard hangup tech, it may or may not be better depending on where your vaults spawn but i thought id mention it here incase you were interested in seeing it :) thanks
@@Marcmb kind of in the same vein as the bodybag trick? just in a different location and if you have shotgun push you can actually save the bag and just use a body
Now you know! Hope you like this strategy if you use it in the future, Alexander :) I definitely prefer this approach because having to avoid the 5th guard throughout the entire heist makes it very slow, considering that you absolutely have to be very safe because any small mistake would cost you the entire heist...
Holy shit ahah i had a friend justa few days ago (new to the game) who was obsessed with completing this heist on stealth and asked for my help, thing is this heist is HARD so after 5 tries we did it but I didn't intend to do it again..until now ahahah can't wait to show him this
Awesome! Personally, I love this heist, but it's a shame that due to its difficulty (and unforgiveness for any mistakes) most random lobbies are unable to complete it, so I very rarely get a chance to play it :( I'm glad that people are liking this advanced strategy! Hopefully, if more people learn how it works, it will be very easy to complete the heist in random lobbies, and we will all be able to play it much more! :D
@@Marcmb Public stealth lobbies are indeed a bit of a mess, especially on console where I play since you can't type in chat or anything but you're doing a great deed to the community for discovering these new strategies so thank you sm! Oh and if I may ask a question about your Counterfeit video,is the infinite money printing strategy possible to do solo WITH bots? Because I tried a few times but the problem is always that once the safe is blown open the AI goes into combat mode and starts shooting everyone they see..I'd do it without them but I find that the AI boosts like faster interaction speed and reload speed unconsciously helped me so much that now stealthing without em is truly a pain aghh
@@LegoAlex99 Ooh interesting! I had no idea there was no chat on console, must be quite hard to coordinate stealth indeed. I'm having a lot of fun designing these unconventional strategies, so I'm glad you like them! As for the other question about printing without bots, as you say they will shoot everyone they can see after you place the C4, so it's quite complicated... I always recommend to disable them, but if you really really like their boosts, you could try waiting in the basement until they follow you into it, which happens sometimes as you can see in my solo video (ruclips.net/video/BUReRjW0Q3s/видео.html), but I'm not sure how reproducible or consistent it is... then you could drop the C4 and use the "Hold you position" order key (which is Z by default on PC) on the three bots, which MAY work in the "weird stealthy assault" phase, and then they should stay down there as long as you don't move too far from them (which again, I'm not sure if you can stay close enough to the bots if you have to move far to gather printing materials). So as you can see, it would be quite complicated! Alternatively, if you're worried about not having enough time to kill and bag all civilians, there's the video with "15 extra tips for solo stealth Counterfeit" (ruclips.net/video/YnGWlfqFFUQ/видео.html) which will make that easier with slow interactions... but other than these two, I don't think there are other solutions :(
@@Marcmb Yep I did notice how the bots seemed to follow you into the basement in one of your vids but I had no luck so far,I tried just a few hours ago and even after managing to kill all 3 shields before placing the C4 and telling them to stay put if I moved even just a few meters away they started following me and then immediately go for Cop 1 and 2,it's a shame but I guess there are indeed no other ways to do it,nonetheless thank you for answering looking forward to more of these awesome videos! ^^
@@LegoAlex99 I see, I was afraid that might be the case :( I hadn't tried it myself (because as I mentioned, I usually choose to disable bots), so thank you for sharing the details of your experience! It will be very helpful if someone in the future asks a similar question :) So thanks for this, and for enjoying the videos! :D As a final note, something which I just remembered, someone mentioned that if you're playing on PC, you can use a mod called "Keepers" (which is somewhat similar to "Better Bots": they are supposedly mods that make the bot behavior better), that allows you to order your bots to stay at a given position no matter how far you get, but I don't think you can use mods on console either :(
this was so helpful I was trying to use a different method to beat this first but this one was a lot better. I used it to beat this heist solo DSOD which was fairly fun learning how to pull it off. The one thing I will say is for me it seems like the RNG can cause doing the same tasks (like clearing out the guards/civvies) take wildly different amounts of time depending on how luckily you are so sometimes it goes fast and other times it takes a while and having to move 23 bags all by myself was tedious but overall not a bad heist once I got the rhythm of it. Anyway, this was the first "complex" stealth heist I completed at least by myself and I think I'm going to stick to loud for a bit but eventually I think I'll try out your Alesso stealth guide. Thanks for the great guide.
Thanks Awe Emperor of Chicken Killing! Happy to hear the guide helped :) This is indeed what I consider to be the best general strategy to complete this heist reliably. You are absolutely right when you say that the same steps can take very different amounts of time depending on RNG: if the NPCs walk in a way that's convenient for you, the steps can be done quite quickly, but other times you're forced to wait until they give you a good opportunity. However, as you get used to the different safe spots to kill guards/civs, you can speed it up a lot. Also, learning advanced techniques, such as easily killing 2/3 guards and answering all their pagers, can also cut down a lot of that time, since you aren't waiting as long for a more convenient setup. Have fun playing loud heists for a bit, and good luck with Alesso, when you get to it! :D
Meanwhile a couple weeks ago I tried to solo it myself, and instead of boat escape I got the truck one. Lucky for me I didn't kill any guard yet so I got rid of the 3 that patrol the construction yard to speed things up a bit... Still, it took me 30+ mins
Hey Gameshunter! The boat escape is definitely a lot easier than the truck one, although the truck one isn't too bad! The main idea behind this strategy is that you _do_ kill as many guards as possible, making the train part take 6-7 minutes instead of 20-25! Then, if you get the truck escape, you only have to sneak around while securing the loot, but it's not too bad considering their pathing! Might make an updated tutorial on that part in the future.
Im really late to this but this guide (and all your others are absolutely incredible!) But with the guards underneath the train i assume you just need to slip past them? The description details 11 gaurds so i assume the others are on a spawn limit? Sorry if this question is dumb
Hey Fang! Thank you for the nice words, glad you're enjoying the guides :) You are indeed correct yup. The main 5 around the train are the ones you want to worry about. There's 3 down at the ravine, and as you guessed, your goal is to simply slip past them and then ignore them. As for the 3 around the lumberyard, same thing! As long as you don't get close to that area, those 3 are always irrelevant :D
@@milanesatm Absolutely! I'm gonna do all of them little by little. At the moment I'm prioritizing Framing Frame, because it has been requested a lot lately, but you can expect Shadow Raid in the future too! :D
Hey I don’t know if you still answer questions but I was wondering…how exactly do you know which guard not to kill so the bag distraction works or do all guards eventually path up there?
Hey Puddle! Sometimes the best approach is to place the bag up there as soon as possible, and then whenever a guard becomes stuck, start taking care of the clean-up as fast as you can. This of course can be tricky solo... so in this case you have to think a lot more about it. In theory everyone can eventually path there, but it'll take much longer on average if there's fewer guards alive. I recommend trying your luck, but also relying on the drill-stuck method, when playing solo.
Hey Billy! I'm a big fan of the Train Heist, but unfortunately most of the DLC is loud-only (due to the theme of assaulting transport trucks in the middle of their route), so there may be better priorities for a stealth player! You can get it when it's on sale, or you can join the Steam group (in the description), because I host these DLC heists quite often!
Hey Pedro! The saw noise has a small range of 8.5m when silenced, so before using my saw I just check all sides of the train if there's a possibility of a guard being nearby. Alternatively, you can use an advanced trick that lowers the 8.5m to 2m, which makes the saw essentially completely silent. Explanation, together with some advanced breakpoints & information of hitboxes here: ruclips.net/video/9xKf1fPOBH8/видео.html
You're absolutely welcome, TrHenning! Glad my guides are helping, and you're having fun with stealth :) As for the 6th guard, there is a very low chance that any of the 3 ravine guards will go up on one side of the map, quickly cross through the train tracks, and go down through the other side. They never stay long because they're not allowed to stop up there (just move through), but even then the chance for it to happen is extremely low...
Gonna assume this works in solo, ill give it a shot. im at my limit with this heist, getting seen by 2 guards on the exact same route while moving the 15th ammo bag has done my head in. good vid tho :)
@@MrNoahlindsay Hey MrNoah! Good question, because the boat is so much more convenient. The chances are actually 65% for car, and 35% for boat -- completely unrelated to the side you spawn on. The drop-off is chosen as soon as you grab one of the turret parts, and will be the same for the ammo later on.
Hey Pekrosha! The rectangle shapes which block parts of the railing (as seen at 1:01) are actually invisible walls that go up all the way to the end of the level editor, so that should never happen if you're following the steps shown here. Perhaps the ravine guards noticed some drills if you were using those to open train doors, or alerted civs? If neither of these two are an option, your bag placement might have caused the guard to become stuck before reaching the "invisible wall box"!
recently got into payday again with my friend after a 3 yearish break, looking at these guides is refreshing! subbed man, keep it up! (ps what hud mod are you using?)
Hey Kosmalskix! I'm glad you're enjoying our strategies as a returning player, thank you! More strategies coming in the near future, for sure! As for my HUD, that's PocoHud3, which is showing the floating timers for the pagers and drills, as well as other on-screen numbers such as: FPS meter, IRL clock, levels right next to player names, and some numbers for each player which are "Kills | Jokered enemies | Current downs | Maximum downs (before custody)". The icons you see in the top left during this video are mainly the indicator that berserker is active, stamina remaining when I sprint, and bag interaction cooldown when I throw bags. The mod is very customizable and you can toggle everything on and off, depending on what you want!
@@Marcmb cheers man! I used to run hoxhud back when i was playing, i didnt wanna re download it as sometimes it would crash my game and im looking for a nice hud that just adds some quality of life features. Cheers again man, looking forward to seeing more videos!
@Kosmalskix - Yeah I remember that! I also used HoxHud back in the day: the restart option seemed to be poorly optimized, and the cool voice line at the beginning caused a few crashed every now and then. I haven't had any problems with PocoHud3, and the fact that everything can be toggled to have an interface as clean as you want, is very cool!
Hi Cordedrex! It's mainly about placing the body bag on top of the wagon, and then waiting until the guard sees it (and he becomes stuck automatically). The problem is that, if you first clear 4 of the other guards, the final guard might take a long while to path there: if he's taking too long, you can consider luring him with a 2nd body bag (6:53) so you don't have to wait for that specific path, or using the loud drill trick (8:05), just making sure the drill is not spotted from the ravine or lumberyard. Alternatively, a very good way to do it is to clear only 1-2 guards, placing the body bag, and then continue clearing as soon as one guard becomes stuck (sometimes dealing with chain reactions) which makes the setup faster.
Glad that worked, good job! I was about to say that the trick with multiple bags is trickier, so simpler alternatives like the drill trick, or placing the bag earlier, generally work better. What do you mean the 2nd guard? You can only get 1 of them stuck with the body bag, and you have to clear the other 4 patrolling around the train!
is the loot drop location determined by which side you spawn? i have been trying to follow your guide to a T however it seems every time i spawn on the side you did i end up getting the shitty loot drop. great videos btw, me and my friend just started learning the ropes and your videos are helping us do heists that weeks ago seemed legit impossible to us.
Thank you doodooface! Glad that the guides are being helpful, that's very nice to hear :) As for the escape (which shares location with the drop-off point) in this heist, it's unrelated to everything else and there's 65% chance for truck escape, 35% chance for boat escape. You will be notified of the chosen escape when you pick up the turret, but before that, there is no way to tell which escape you're gonna get :(
I nearly managed to get through with good rng. Used the old drill trick to get 2 guards stuck, killed 2 more, and patrol was pretty loose. But then the game softlocked me. Not only did all three vaults contain the shells, but one of them cannot be hacked in with the hard drive. Edit: Okay I did it, turned loud at the end because they just won't let me hack the last vault door for some reason and I had to drill through but otherwise it's finally over. I am not looking forward to this again, not solo. Still can't believe I nearly pulled off a stealth yacht escape.
Hey Stellaris! I tried the body bag glitch a few days ago and it was working fine, BUT you have to make sure the guard never sees you after he becomes stuck (or you will free him). As for what you say in the 2nd comment, you cannot place the hacking device on a train wagon until you have used the camera to specifically check what's inside that wagon (which means that you have to _cycle_ through the camera ccess to see inside all 3 trains). I'll make an updated video for this in the near future, and be a lot more thorough with these explanations!
Hey Adam! I'm glad you like this strategy, thank you! :D I definitely consider it the optimal way of playing the heist! It becomes very fun to do in public lobbies (as long as they know of the strategy and don't kill the 5th guard) because rather than being a situation of constant risk where the heist can fail at any point while moving bags, it becomes a tricky start to the heist which guarantees you success all the way to the end once you pull it off :)
hey im trying the body bag bait but when i get to the part where i jump over the railing the guard just brings his phone out and raises the alert. am i just not letting the guard get close enough to me?
You have to ECM or pECM and go far enough from him, so that he focuses on the body bag. Same thing that happens on Counterfeit, when you break line of sight with the cops!
Is there a way to know what escape you get? Cuz with this trick, boat escape is much better cuz with truck u have to worry about moving bags while being careful around guards
Hey Richtofens! Sadly there is no way to know that ahead of time :( When you get the truck escape, you basically need to sneak around for the first few bags, and then you can ECM rush the final ones. I'll post an updated solo guide (no duo looting) in the future!
Haha, good point Chaney! For pubs, essentially hope that everyone has seen the guide, or knows what to do... otherwise, everyone is going to be doing their own thing, and you're most likely going to fail...!
Hey Mauer! I believe in older patches (when the ammo bags still exploded if dropped from too high up) the bags were detectable either on the zipline or at the spot where they drop, but on current patches that is no longer the case. So, when you get the lumberyard drop-off, zipline 10 of the bags, and place the other 10 in the wagon closest to the lumberyard, next to the closed wagon door. Then, take your time to sneakily secure the 10 bags that you ziplined, considering that: (1) Keeping the 3 lumberyard guards marked at all times helps a lot. (2) This is usually the safest path: steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1028451097217488611/9D8CD8810184A65D29606C0A8FC096F50595D2D6/ and after these 10, ECM rush for the other 10 following the same route that we show at the end of the video. If you have a second player (or open the lobby just for this part) you can easily ECM rush all 20.
@@Marcmb well i sended like 2 bags and the third got detected causing a chain reaction. so RIP me I guess :D i worked it out just one time though, i could have gotten extremely unlucky
@@mauer1 Hmm interesting, we did many tests sending the bags at the worst possible time (trying to get some guards to spot them) but they didn't seem to be able to. The only zipline we didn't test is the zipline that goes to the boat, from the side closest to the lumberyard (because for the boat there's 2 possible zip lines, and the one that we use is better). But I assume you were talking about ziplines to the lumberyard?
@@Marcmb yeah i was talking about the zipline to the drop off nearest to the spawn from this video. Maybe I overlooked something else but i think there shouldnt be any other possible situation when i put the body bags in the containers. Is there any difference with the turret bags maybe?
@@mauer1 Okay! I assumed that was the zipline that you meant. Turret bags and ammo bags should behave 100% exactly the same in regards to this. It may just be a very rare guard path combined with the timing of the bag ziplining that allows the guard to spot it, and it's so rare that we didn't spot it. In general however, you can safely use the zipline without the guards spotting the bags.
Hey trevicz! It's much safer to move a body bag (which you're carrying yourself) than have a tied civilian following you. They are likely to be seen by the lumberyard guards, or sometimes even by the ravine guards, depending on their pathing. On other heists, I definitely prefer tying them when possible (as it is more "professional"), but when they often refuse to cooperate it's definitely better to just shoot them directly :p
I've tried all 3 methods of distracting the 5th and final guard, but he always calls in anyway. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm on console, but considering the console version is essentially stuck at when this video came out, it should still work, no?
Hey Danylerasu! It's a tricky technique, so it might take a few attempts to fully learn how it works. Just as you say, the whole thing still works on console guaranteed, but even on PC there have been no changes to this. If he's calling, that means that you're either re-using the same body bag, or he's not seeing the body bag well, or you're too close (even when not in his view) and that's messing with his priorities. I recommend learning the full stealth Counterfeit strategy first, since this is almost a sequel of the mechanics used there, and that one is a lot more convenient to learn the basics of moving alerted guards!
@@Marcmb Thank you for the tip. I was trying to use this tutorial to go through the story while actually getting some decent XP, but I'll definitely go check out the other tutorial, and then revisit this.
@@danylerasu4917 I see! This strategy is definitely quite advanced for the Story Mode completion. In the near-ish future I'll make an updated tutorial which does not rely on these tricks, to make it more accessible! For now good luck though :)
I assume you were using other strategies where the 5th guard is allowed to roam around, and you avoid him 46 times as you move the 23 bags? Or am I understanding wrong? That's why this strategy is so powerful! The 5th guard will be stuck, and he won't be able to surprise you at any point, allowing you to freely move the 23 bags with no risk!
@@Marcmb nah I fooled the fifth guard, but had to bring the bags to the other pickup point 🤷♂️ Anyway, I managed on the third try. Worth it and it's getting easier with every try.
@@FMS-qm6le Aah, yes, the lumberyard escape... when playing solo, that's definitely the worst part, especially because boat is SO MUCH easier. When playing duo it's not a problem, because you can easily ECM rush the 20 ammo bags, but when playing solo it's a bit painful, waiting until the 3 guards move out of the way so you can move bags one at a time...
Hey Nelson! That is the Locomotive 12G, yup! Here's the list of mods, which I can easily copy-paste from my build video: ruclips.net/video/s0lSjtcZXO8/видео.html · BARREL EXT: The Silent Killer Supressor. · GADGET: LED Combo. (if you don't have enough concealment, you can switch this one for a Compact Laser Module -- or just remove the gadget) · GRIP: Straight Grip. · MAGAZINE: Extended Magazine. · STOCK: Tactical Shorty Stock. · AMMUNITION: 000 Buckshot. · BOOST: Team Boost. · SKIN: the new "Crypto" color that was obtained from the now removed LockeBreacher puzzle -- the settings I chose for the color are Paint Scheme: Inverted; Wear: Mint-Condition; Pattern Scale: Medium.
@@fm.f1 Enjoy your new weapon! And as for your question, that's essentially what I was going to suggest :) Use the same build that I linked, but remove skills that you consider less useful considering your limited skill points. Things like removing drill skills if the heist has no drills, removing aced deployables, bonus concealment skills, farther/longer marks... basically things that you consider less essential!
Hmm if playing solo, the overall heist will feel even easier using this strategy, because you have to move 23 bags (which is 46 trips, back and forth), so the chance of the 5th guard spotting you is a constant risk for a much longer period of time. As for the difficulty of this strategy (only the start is relevant, because once the map has been controlled there is no more difficulty), it may require a bit of skill especially if you kill 2-3 guards simultaneously and need to answer all their pagers (requires good timing and pocket ECM management), but you can always take it slow at your own pace and it shouldn't be more difficult than the duo version we showed. If you try it and you have any questions, feel free to ask! :)
@@Marcmb So the only problem here is to kill all 4 guards while managing your time calling the pagers and hide the body. I guess burglar perk might be a viable option. Thx for the quick replied 👍
@@fareezizzuddin28 That's a good approach! Burglar is very good when you have to answer two pagers in quick succession, and also to bag all bodies faster, so it may prove useful in this heist! Just keep in mind, that if you're often running into situations where 3 guards become alerted, the only perk deck that allows you to answer 3 pagers in quick succession is hacker, unless you can afford to leave the 3rd one alive while you answer the first pager (depends on advanced things like whether your arrest is on cooldown, and the distance between you and the 3rd guard). So feel free to try hacker too if you're having problems with combinations of more than 2 guards!
Yeah Zami!! I loved the heist back then, when shells exploded if you dropped them from slightly too high! But it's been a while since they changed it, and now they don't explode anymore :p
God I remember back when even if you did the heist stealth the minute you secured the turret the escape timer would tick down no matter what. Lot has changed since I first started. I straight up didn't realize you couldn't get the train heist as a day 2 objective anymore until someone pointed it out to me recently. Yet here you are abusing game mechanics like it's a sesame street episode. Seriously you and your crew are amazing and I feel like you deserve to know that.

@@megamitchel100 That's tricky sometimes yeah, it does take quite a bit of space... First attempt completion sounds good! But it's a massive heist so it's understandable if you fail on the retries :( Best of luck becoming more consistent!!
Hey Strypes! Considering alerted civs can only be spotted if their head is visible, usually killing them is a much faster way to lower their head (compared to shouting at them until they get down), hiding them from guards or other civs that may be walking nearby. As such, we only kill civilians when they become alerted in a dangerous/risky location, and we need to lower their heads asap, or if moving them after tying them is a risk we can't afford if there are guards that may spot them as they walk. For the rest of situations however, definitely tie them or keep them down by shouting at them or firing unsilenced weapons in the air (with the _Stockholm syndrome_ skill which causes noise generated by you to intimidate civilians), as professionals would do! :)
Good question! As you can see in the top right corner (guard and civilian counter) there's still one civilian roaming around, who would get alerted if he spotted the body bag. If this happened, the guards patrolling the ravine could spot this alerted civilian, and then stealth would fail. So taking care of the body bags is definitely needed until you have control of the whole map. However, as you say, there are many different places to hide the body bags. We simply keep all of them on the same place for convenience, because there's nothing else to do while waiting for the hacks to finish, so we don't mind if it's a long walk!
I tried doing this, but the driver was in a van, so it was more difficult to move all the bags. Is this thing random that the driver is either in van or in a boat?
Hey Frytek! The escape is indeed objectively harder when the escape is chosen to be the van. And that, to answer your question, is completely random: 65% truck, 35% boat. Completely unrelated to anything else in the heist, and impossible to tell before picking up the 1st turret part. In this video I have only one clip for that part, at 10:05, but unfortunately it's duo... as you can see, with 2 players you can easily ECM rush the whole 20 bags. When playing solo however, the only viable option is to carefully sneak the first 10, and then when you're confident just ECM rush the last 10 or so. I'll make an updated video about this in the future, because it's definitely a very important step!
@@Marcmb Hey there, today after many many tries I have completed this heist. Luckily, after few tries I have got the boat escape, so the whole thing got way easier.
@@Frytek2k Well done! Hope you had fun with the strategy :) And yes indeed, whenever you get the boat it's absurdly easy, because the path from zipline drop-off to boat is always clear of guards, so there is no risk involved (unlike with the truck escape).
It's very normal, yup! When he's focused on you and loses sight of you, he will start calling instantly. Until you move far away for the body bag to gain priority over you, he will continue calling. For more details, you can watch my recent Counterfeit solo stealth videos, where this is a key mechanic!
Hey SilentGamer! It's definitely an unintended effect caused by the way the AI was coded, but at this point in the game's development, it may not be fixed! Even if they fix the bag trick, I'm pretty sure the cop kiting approach, or the loud drill approach, will still work :p Glad you enjoyed the video though, thanks a lot! :)
Hey Fabrobin, very good question! There's a very good trick to estimate whether using the silent saw is safe or not. The noise generated when you're using your silenced saw on something has a range of 8.5m. The skill _Sixth sense_ will mark everyone in a 10m radius around you after standing still for 3.5s. Thus, if you stand still for 3.5s and the skill isn't marking anyone, it's safe to use the saw! Other than that, by practicing and learning (using the saw a lot) allows you to easily estimate just by distance if someone will hear you, which makes it slightly faster!
I’m guessing I’m doing something stupid but whenever I try the body bag trick the guard ends up calling the police I’m almost positive the body bag is out of the guard’s interaction range but that’s the only reason I could see why this might be failing. Any tips?
Hey aquarius! Could you give me a timestamp to the moment in the video you're referring to? It works differently for the final body bag (placed on top of the train) and for the "lure body bag" (placed on the platform so that the guard will approach), so it will be easier to help you with a clear answer, if you clarify that point :) Thank you in advance!
@@Marcmb oh sorry for being vague! I’m specifically referring to the body bag that’s used to “distract” the fifth guard (so the one placed at 0:55 which the guard then notices at 1:30)
@@aquareus1 I see! If he's calling when he sees that one, there may be two things you're doing wrong: 1) If you place it too close to the railing, he will call directly. Make sure to use a similar placement to what I showed! 2) If, after he becomes alerted with the body bag, he spots a heister running around, he will call too. After he becomes stuck, you have to make sure he never sees any heister: he's stuck, but he's not blind!
Sorry for the trouble but how do you download the mods you have? I found a link but I have no idea where to put the files and the guides I looked up tell me about so many different places to put the files. Also you deserve so many more subs. You've responded to so many comments and helped so many people and you deserve it so I'm sharing your vids with my crew lol
Hey kratt fan! First of all, I just want to say thank you for your kind feedback! I'm glad you're enjoying the content, and sharing it with your friends :D Hope you have fun with these strategies! As for your question, my mods are _PocoHud3_ and _Additional PocoHud trackers,_ as well as _SuperBLT_ which is required to make any mods work. I will explain where to get them and how to install them: · First of all, very importantly, in order for PAYDAY 2 mods to work you need to install some kind of mod-loading hook, SuperBLT being the most common one (it's a .dll file that you download and place in your PAYDAY 2 folder). Link to SuperBLT, with install instructions: superblt.znix.xyz/ *Step by step instructions to install SuperBLT* (1) Download the files in the link (follow instructions if you need to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable package (x86), which only applies for the first time you download this hook). (2) When you download the Latest Release DLL (WSOCK32.dll), place it in your PAYDAY 2 folder (Steam\steamapps\common\PAYDAY 2). To find this folder, you can go to your Steam library, right-click on PAYDAY 2, and then click Properties... > LOCAL FILES > BROWSE LOCAL FILES... which will open the directory in your file explorer. (3) Launch PAYDAY 2, and it will automatically prompt you to install the hook, automatically creating a "mods" folder in your PAYDAY 2 folder. (4) Close the game. (5) Now you can place any mods in your "mods" folder! I'll give you one example with the HUD. · Now for the actual HUD mods. The main one is _PocoHud3,_ which shows the ECM timers, stamina meter... and also floating timers for the pagers, hacks... as well as other on-screen numbers such as: FPS meter, IRL clock, levels right next to player names, and some numbers for each player which are "Kills | Jokered enemies | Current downs | Maximum downs (before custody)". The mod is VERY CUSTOMIZABLE and you can toggle everything on and off, depending on what you want! You can get the "latest version" (it's a bit old, but still works) of PocoHud3 here: steamcommunity.com/app/218620/discussions/15/1457328846183663967/ *Step by step instructions to install PocoHud3 (or any mod)* (1) All mods for PAYDAY 2 are downloaded as a .zip file, which contains just a folder inside. The folder name is usually just the name of the mod (in this case, the folder in the .zip is called "PocoHud3", and it contains files such as mod.txt, mod.lua, and others, depending on the specific mod). You want to unzip this folder into your "mods" folder that was just created in step (3) of the previous list of instructions. (2) Once the folder is in place, the mod has automatically been installed. (3) For any other mods that you want, repeat the download of the corresponding .zip, and place the corresponding folder inside the same "mods" folder. (4) That's it! Launch the game, and your mods will work! :D · As for _Additional PocoHud trackers,_ I mainly use it for the 3.5s countdown before Sixth sense triggers, but it will also show you trackers for all kinds of things (any skill which has a duration or cooldown). Much like the previous one, everything can be toggled on and off! Link to download this one: modworkshop.net/mod/26167 -- install instructions would be the same as the instructions for PocoHud3, just above :) That's about it! Very long response, but as you can see, installing mods is quite simple once you know how it works! If any of the steps is unclear, feel free to ask and I will clarify :) Thanks again for watching and enjoying the content!
Hey TheReaper! The bug relies on their inability to path close to the body bag, so if you throw it too close to the railing, their AI considers that they've already pathed close enough, and they proceed to take out their phone. I have more details about this on my Counterfeit stealth step-by-step video!
Hey Tru3Straya! I just quickly rewatched the video and I think you mean the part at 1:33? We kill two guards and let their pagers go off, then I drop an ECM and kill another guard. He takes care of the first two pagers (which went off before the ECM) and then, shortly after, the ECM runs out and the 3rd pager goes off too. Hopefully that clears it up! If you want to ask anything else, go for it! :)
How How you get more than 3 guard pagers? It's the main reason I fail stealth missions when I get caught by 1 guard when I'm close to finishing and have to kill him or get caught. (Is it only this mission you don't have to worry about the amount for guards killed?)
Hey TheMemeLord! Marcmb may not be able to answer your question in time because he is going to be gone for 1-2 weeks (Watch his latest video!), so I'll answer your question for you :) For any stealth heist you will get 4 pagers maximum, but in this heist (and in some other heists too) the game makes it so that there are more than 4 guards, which makes it challenging and forces you to keep the amount of pager usage low. Not only that, but in this heist, there are a lot of civs roaming around and everyone walks around the area of the objective, and adds up to the challenge, making this heist very frustrating! This video makes it so that it can be easier, but it's a bit more advanced and requires a bit of coordination. Hope I answered your question! :D
Hi TheMemeLord! It's just as *@Prankster* said: the amount of pagers is actually 4, not 3, and this is the same for any heist. If it's different for you, you might be using some mods that change the number. What we do here is take out 4 guards, and use a body bag so the 5th one becomes stuck: really safe approach!
I’ve spent so much time on this heist and it turns out I was doing it completely wrong. Great video, subbing for sure. One question though... why didn’t the ammo bags explode after you threw them from the bridge? Do they not do that anymore? Cause I remember playing this heist long ago and they did
Hey Lion, thank you! I'm glad that you liked the strategy. As you can see, it makes the whole process very easy! As you mentioned in your reply to this comment, the ammo bags exploding was removed quite a few patches ago, which makes this "shortcut" very useful :p It was fun having the explosive bags, but it's also a relief to know that the heist can't fail because of them!
Not at all, Medic! It just makes the heist faster, and also easier because sometimes you can skip certain rewires (rather than having to rewire the 4 boxes around the train).
Hey Bruh Momento! This can absolutely be done solo, everything applies but you'll need a bit more effort for the clean-up step around the train. I'll post an updated solo guide (with solo content only) in the near future!
Haha best of luck! I'm going to sleep right now, but if you have any specific questions, feel free to leave them in the comments, and I'll see them tomorrow!
Hey Areyousureaboutthat! Keep in mind that the game does not allow you to secure any ammo, until all 3 turret pieces have been secured. Most likely this is what happened to you!
I've attempted the bag bait tactic, but it seems it doesn't work anymore. I tried sending a link of the proof, but RUclips decided otherwise. Edit : Do I have to stay on the roof of the train or can I fall off to the rails?
Hey gonubax! Try typing the link again as a response to this... it gets blocked sometimes, but I can just approve it manually I think. It'll be easier to help you! As long as the body bag is placed, you can fall off and go anywhere else. The loud drill trick is a lot easier, and I have a recent short uploaded (Daily Dose #15) that shows a better example of that!
Aww, sorry to hear that! In all our tests, he didn't usually shoot (if you hide fast enough, he does not shoot), but every time he did shoot, no one heard him, so we assumed it was safe. I think you got very unlucky :( I'll make an updated video with no RNG, first of all I'll try to get a clip of this happening!
You're welcome! If you try it again, hopefully it goes better (you got very unlucky). Hopefully my new video will help! This works on console exactly as shown on the video :)
Hey Basti! The number of guards around the train is still 5 (with 3 more guards in the lumberyard, and an additional 3 in the ravine). There's a small chance that one of the ravine guards will temporarily walk through the train level (while pathing between his ravine waypoints), but that's very rare, so I generally don't even consider it!
@@Taninversed No worries! And glad you liked the video, thank you! Just to repeat the main idea again: there's plenty of guards (11 total) but only 5 will be around the train :)
Hey Nika! First of all, make sure that you're indeed using the SILENT MOTOR, not the FAST MOTOR. You might have multiple saws in your inventory, and maybe you picked the wrong one. If that is not the issue, make sure you're not using any mods! I've seen another comment with the same problem recently, and their issue was the mods they were using.
@@aaggroberlin19 Then the likely explanation is that you were not using the silent motor! Double check your saw once again :D If you double-check this, and the silent motor is indeed being used, keep in mind that the SILENT MOTOR still has a range of 8.5m. Most likely you alerted _someone_ who was close enough to hear, and that started a chain reaction!
@@aaggroberlin19 No skills and no perk deck needed! The saw becomes silent by itself as soon as you equip the weapon mod :( That's why I said most likely you're using the wrong weapon mods, or causing a chain reaction and mistaking that as the saw alerting the whole map! Maybe try sawing the air? That has a range of only 2m if you saw is truly silent, but 35m if it's not actually silent.
Hey Robby Sodhi! That's PocoHud3, my HUD mod which is the one showing the floating timers for the pagers and drills, as well as other on-screen numbers such as: FPS meter, IRL clock, levels right next to player names, and some numbers for each player which are "Kills | Jokered enemies | Current downs | Maximum downs (before custody)". The mod is very customizable and you can toggle everything on and off, depending on what you want! The icons you see in the top left during this video are mainly the indicator that berserker is active, stamina remaining when I sprint, and bag interaction cooldown when I throw bags.
Hey Human Grunt! It's possible, yes. It will be slightly easier if done among the 3 clients (excluding the hosts) and especially if there's ping differences between the clients. With enough coordination, it's also possible to get 4, but that would require very good timing!
@@HumanGrunt You can also duplicate/triplicate it when the 2 minute hack finishes and you retrieve the hard drive (in order to place it in a different wagon). This way, even if you fail duplicating it the first time, you still have more chances to do it :)
Hey Alucard! Nice to see you in the comments again :) They get stuck because their pathfinding is unable to find a path from their current position to the bag position. The reason they don't call the cops is very simple: the AI was written so that, in general, when they spot something suspicious, they will first walk to it, then call the cops. This generates very intuitive gameplay: every time a guard is calling the cops, the player can very clearly see the reason why the guard is doing so. However, there is a small loophole here: if they have to walk to the bag before calling the cops, but they are unable to walk to the bag, they simply get stuck on that step, unable to call the cops until they finish walking to the bag (which they can't do)!
@@alucarda.k.avladiiicomtedr5335 It works on all heists, yes! It may take some effort, because once you have an alerted guard stuck looking at a body bag, a chain reaction where a second guard gets alerted upon spotting this first guard is very likely. The AI of this second guard will have to walk to the source of his alert (the alerted guard) and then call the cops. Obviously, there is nothing preventing guard 2 from walking to guard 1, so he will sound the alarm shortly. For this reason, the simplest heist where this can work is Counterfeit: there are only two cops, and they can be alerted very far from each other. Train Heist is also a decent choice, because there are 5 guards patrolling around the train, and you kill 4 of them. So yes, this will work on all heists, but on trickier heists it will require a bit of imagination! Stay tuned for even more intricate examples, either next week or in two weeks depending on how busy I am! :D
@@alucarda.k.avladiiicomtedr5335 Good idea - maybe that would work :p You can test it out and let me know how it goes! And if you need help along the process, feel free to ask! However, we're thinking of more AMBITIOUS heists, where dealing with the guards in special ways makes some strategies possible that were unthinkable before! The thing with Shadow Raid, is that it was a heist designed to be stealthed, so even if our strategy can be applied there, it wouldn't help a lot, or it wouldn't be easier than the usual ECM rush, because in a way it's "too easy"! So it's a good place to start, but you can do much bigger things! :D
Hi macrmb, i just wanted to ask if it is worth it to buy Payday 2 on Xbox One, since i had rumours that it is bad and outdated, but ive seen many people playing the game without complaints. I know this might be a weird of a question, but i cant really find any correct information on it. I hope you have a good day :)
I have no idea because I've never played on console! If possible, I would get it on PC, because it always has the latest updates. Overkill tries to update console versions every now and then, but apparently it's a slower process so those updates are considerably delayed. Unfortunately I don't have any personal experience with that, so if you want better opinions you can maybe join the official PAYDAY 2 Discord and ask around in the Xbox matchmaking channel!
I apologise for the late response, but thank you for helping with my inquiry! I didnt know anything about OVERKILL's Discord, it will surely help! Thank you once more, and have a nice day!
@@randompersonintheinternet5536 I play on console and the only thing we're missing at the minute is the safe house update and the latest couple of dlc and patches like the border crossing heist and the desync update and some other smaller heists like go bank but other than that its very updated and most people play it fine
Yeah i know i actually bought it a couple days ago, it is very good in my opinion as it has most of the dlcs for free that is very money saving, which i didnt expect
I know this video is kind of old but is the stuck guard mechanic no longer usable due to the changes to guard AI after counterfeit stealth? How is this different from the version in counterfeit?
Hi! I'm not sure but with Counterfeit they didn't change the AI just blocked off the bag spots so this should work. Also if this was no longer working Marc would pin a comment, put in the description and put *PATCHED* in the title so it's safe to assume that its working
Hey there EnderSpy! Just as *@Martin* said, nothing has changed with the guard AI: the devs simply blocked some of the body bag spots which we used. For that reason, the Counterfeit stealth strat still works until the safe blows up, and this Train Heist strategy still works fully.
Hey Somebodynobody10! It's just to avoid the risk of chain reactions. The pacifist approach would be to tie them down, and hide them somewhere. However, especially when dealing with civs on the lumberyard side of the train, you want to completely avoid the possibility of a guard spotting the civ being moved, because then that guard could be spotted by another guard, and the chain reaction could easily reach the lumberyard or ravine guards, at which point you fail the heist. However, in general I do let them live if they are somewhere where it's safe to just tie them down (e.g., at the end of the train). You could argue that for all civilians you can just wait until they are at a safe spot where they can be tied down, but that's in general considered way too slow for advanced stealth!
Hey SgtNut Man! It will indeed work on console: many players have confirmed this working for them on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch... if you want to try a simpler heist that relies on the same body bag trick, you can check out this step-by-step tutorial for another heist: ruclips.net/video/O7qaPho8O6A/видео.html
Hey deviousraptor! The trick still works 100%. I recently made a video explaining in more detail how it works, in case you wanna check it out! Here's a time-stamped link :) ruclips.net/video/O7qaPho8O6A/видео.html
Hi Vitor! It's good to place the body bag early, because not all 5 guards might be able to path to that end of the train. I'll do more research when I have some free time, to get the exact answer!
Hey David! Nothing about the mechanics regarding how guards interact with bags/suspicious objects has been changed, although it can be a bit tricky to get right, because it has been an unused mechanic for many years :) Which part of the process is giving you problems? If you give me a few more details, I'll be able to help you easily!
@@Marcmb he is calling immediately after he see the body bag's. I have try multiple distance but he seem to call anyway. The body bag was in the "before, middle after" the square on the train if you know what I mean
@@David-my7ig Hmmm that's very strange then. As long as he spots the body bag and nothing else, he should become stuck, it's still working for me. Make sure that, after he notices the body bag, he doesn't spot you, or any other alerted civs/guards, otherwise that will refresh his AI and cause him to become unstuck!
Hey Maxwell! There's 3 guards in the lumberyard area, but those never patrol around the train. You will only have to worry about them when securing the loot if the random escape happens to be the car escape (otherwise, it'll be boat escape). If you're playing as a duo or more, you can ECM rush the delivery of all 20 ammo bags, as we show in the video, which makes the final part very fast as well! In the Steam guide you can see an image of how many guards are in each zone, which may further clarify your doubts. It's under the "Strategy" section, the first image that you will find there: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2042346455
Hey Hokage! My stealth build is quite common: basically the full Shinobi tree, with small additions from various trees such as Jack of all trades and drill skills from Technician, increased marking distance from Mastermind, increased mark duration and movement speed from Ghost as well, and that's basically it! For this Train heist I remove the drill skills because I want them to be loud. If you want more details about which skills I take exactly, or how many points I put in each tree, I can check later and give you more details!
Hey Foxy! What do you mean exactly? A guard around the train spotted the stuck guard (the 5th one), and someone in the ravine saw too and the situation got out of control? Or what was the current situation before the ravine guards became alerted?
@Marcmb sorry for the late reply I believe one of the guards from the ravine saw the guard with the body bag glitch. Maybe cause I did it wrong or just horrible RNG. I managed to win in the end after like ten (although only 2 were kinda long) tries. Also in one of them I believe there was a six guard. It may have been that I killed one from the ravine but it seems that there may be a small chance to have 6 guards patrolling that part of the train. The only other explanation is that perhaps since I spawn in that attempt in the boat exit instead of the ban exit (were the video starts) that maybe one of the guards of the ravine spawn on the stairs and was making its way down when I killed him.
@Marcmb sorry is this feels spammy but I should report that (at least on console) it seems that the “lure with body bag” trick doesn’t seem to work. I tried it twice (amazing sample size I know) and the guard immediately called the army instead of approaching to the bag. I guess i was kind of disappointed seeing how the magic trick work for you and didn’t for me.
@@foxyelpirata6698 Hey Foxy! It's unlikely for the stuck guard to be spotted from the ravine because the huge covers around him in the platform railings are actually invisible walls. It may have been something else, perhaps a bag, drill, or alerted civ? And yeah, unfortunately the way pathfinding works in PAYDAY there is a small chance for a ravine guard to go up to the train, and back down to the ravine, as long as he can do so without walking over his own followed path. This kind of roundabout movement is very uncommon though, and generally they just follow the shortest path between their ravine waypoints... Same reason that allows train guards to walk down to the ravine. Very unlucky :(
@@foxyelpirata6698 Don't worry about the double comment! Keep in mind that the reason we use an extra body bag is because we're very close to the 15m limit where guards just stand in place and report rather than approaching first. Make sure you don't let them see the bag from too far -- pretty sure it should work on console too!
The body bag glitch still works yup. However, the loud drill variation (explained towards the end of the video) is a lot more reliable, and easier to set up!
I can't seem to able to pull off the "stuck guard" mechanic, but It's really easy to avoid only one guard with some well placed tripwires. Very good guide overall :)
Hey Elcid! The easiest way to make the guard become stuck is probably using the loud drill trick. However, as you say, avoiding just one guard isn't very hard, especially if you have trip mines to keep him spotted at all times! Glad the guide was helpful, thank you! :)
Some of them yes, definitely! But the body bag trick is especially useful for long heists (Train, Counterfeit...) where getting rid of guards for the entire heist can be very helpful, or for maps where using these tricks allows you to skip some objectives making the heist faster (one of these will be coming soon, hopefully!). But there are also stealth tricks that can be done using only conventional stealth mechanics, like the fence jump I posted the other day, or the Big Oil tips that someone requested and that I'm thinking about doing!
Hey VoidalMyth! That's a combination of _PocoHud3_ and _Additional PocoHud trackers._ The former is responsible for the ECM timers, as well as the floating timers for drills, time locks, hacks, pagers... (whenever they are present). It also includes other on-screen numbers such as: FPS meter, IRL clock, levels right next to player names, and some numbers for each player which are "Kills | Jokered enemies | Current downs | Maximum downs (before custody)". As for the latter, _Additional PocoHud trackers,_ I mainly use it for the 3.5s countdown before Sixth sense triggers, but it will also show you trackers for all kinds of things (any skill which has a duration or cooldown). Both are highly customizable so everything can be toggled on and off, depending on what you want! If you want to try them out for yourself, I have a Steam post with download links, and install instructions (as well as my specific mod settings), which you can find here! steamcommunity.com/groups/MarcmbCrimeNET/discussions/0/2279330983559406525/

I personally also love this heist, it's very fun to do and feels very rewarding to pull off succesfully, with a great escape that is better done with ECM rushing to move the 20 bags quickly.
Unfortunately, it's very hard to play on public lobbies because people never follow a set strategy, everyone does their own thing and eventually someone makes a mistake and the heist fails :( Hopefully the guide will change this, at least for a few Crime.NET lobbies!

Yes! The AI is completely broken, and it just keeps shooting and shooting...

· GADGET: Compact Laser Module.

Hey LeaderOfDa! What's the new method that you found? Is it using body bags, or is it using loud drills?

Now you know! Hope you like this strategy if you use it in the future, Alexander :)
I definitely prefer this approach because having to avoid the 5th guard throughout the entire heist makes it very slow, considering that you absolutely have to be very safe because any small mistake would cost you the entire heist...

Awesome! Personally, I love this heist, but it's a shame that due to its difficulty (and unforgiveness for any mistakes) most random lobbies are unable to complete it, so I very rarely get a chance to play it :(
I'm glad that people are liking this advanced strategy!
@@LegoAlex99 I see, I was afraid that might be the case :(
I hadn't tried it myself (because as I mentioned, I usually choose to disable bots), so thank you for sharing the details of your experience! It will be very helpful if someone in the future asks a similar question :) So thanks for this, and for enjoying the videos! :D
As a final note, something which I just remembered, someone mentioned that if you're playing on PC, you can use a mod called "Keepers" (which is somewhat similar to "Better Bots": they are supposedly mods that make the bot behavior better), that allows you to order your bots to stay at a given position no matter how far you get, but I don't think you can use mods on console either :(
Again very helpfull video. Thanks!
Thank you very much! :)
this was so helpful I was trying to use a different method to beat this first but this one was a lot better.
I did this on my first try, on death sentence and goddamn, the payday is a LOT of money
Amazing! Hopefully the guide helped Rexi, congrats on your first-try clear! Indeed, on DS you need to get the 20 ammo bags, so the payout is HUGE!
this is very interesting maybe I can make one of my friends do stealth heists now you've earned my sub
Thank you very much! Thanks for the sub, and I hope you can convince your friends to have fun with these unusual and convenient stealth strategies! :)
@@Marcmb thanks these methods are very unusual and the fact that they work is quite interesting I should learn to bully the ai more often
@@jello8879 Haha, "bullying the AI" is a very fitting way to think about this concept and strategy, I love it!
Hey Fang! Thank you for the nice words, glad you're enjoying the guides :)
You are indeed correct yup.

I recommend trying your luck, but also relying on the drill-stuck method, when playing solo.
now what I need is the whole dlc to play it
@@Marcmb ah thank you for the invitation! will check steam group later on
How the flip do you want to deal with 5 guards if you have 4 pagers?!
Oh yeah, just make the guard stuck.
Logical
Hey Diletant! Yup that's basically it :p Kill 4, and get the last one stuck :D
how does he saw the doors, without no one hears?
First off, thank you for all of the excellent content! Cheers! Stealth is fun again! Second, I had more than the 5 guards. What am I doing wrong?
You're absolutely welcome, TrHenning! Glad my guides are helping, and you're having fun with stealth :)
As for the 6th guard, there is a very low chance that any of the 3 ravine guards will go up on one side of the map, quickly cross through the train tracks, and go down through the other side.
Hey MrNoah! This does absolutely work solo, yup. Anything involving body bag baits will work regardless of number of heisters. Good luck!
@@Marcmb thanks for the response. one more thing, what are the chances of the boat spawn, and does spawning on that side increase the chances?
@@MrNoahlindsay Hey MrNoah! Good question, because the boat is so much more convenient. The chances are actually 65% for car, and 35% for boat -- completely unrelated to the side you spawn on. The drop-off is chosen as soon as you grab one of the turret parts, and will be the same for the ammo later on.
Just did this solo stealth 👍
Awesome! I'm happy to hear that. I hope you liked the strategy, DarkDemon!
Didn't work for me. The guy from down the hill noticed the "stuck" guard.

For some reason I just can't make the fifth guard stuck ? Is there something you have to do it smth ? They never notice the bag...
@@Marcmb Thank you for the fast response, I will try to lure him with a different bag.
@@Marcmb Hey I did it I locked him, thanks.Well but then the second guard called the alarm so yeah I think I did something wrong.
@@Marcmb Well I wanted to get him stuck and then one of the guards just came by, also noticed the bag and called the alarm.
Does the body bag tactic works in every heist as long as the bag itself is unreachable?
Yes! It's exactly as you just said!
is the loot drop location determined by which side you spawn? i have been trying to follow your guide to a T however it seems every time i spawn on the side you did i end up getting the shitty loot drop. great videos btw, me and my friend just started learning the ropes and your videos are helping us do heists that weeks ago seemed legit impossible to us.
Thank you doodooface! Glad that the guides are being helpful, that's very nice to hear :)
As for the escape (which shares location with the drop-off point) in this heist, it's unrelated to everything else and there's 65% chance for truck escape, 35% chance for boat escape.
You will be notified of the chosen escape when you pick up the turret, but before that, there is no way to tell which escape you're gonna get :(
The bag glitch is not working for me, the guard just sounds the alarm from the top without getting down for whatever reason.
Where was this when I tried doing this weeks ago and had to do it loud like the last 3 minutes of the heist lol
Hey Adam! I'm glad you like this strategy, thank you! :D
I definitely consider it the optimal way of playing the heist!
Flashbacks to big oil
hey im trying the body bag bait but when i get to the part where i jump over the railing the guard just brings his phone out and raises the alert. am i just not letting the guard get close enough to me?
You have to ECM or pECM and go far enough from him, so that he focuses on the body bag. Same thing that happens on Counterfeit, when you break line of sight with the cops!
Is there a way to know what escape you get? Cuz with this trick, boat escape is much better cuz with truck u have to worry about moving bags while being careful around guards
Hey Richtofens! Sadly there is no way to know that ahead of time :( When you get the truck escape, you basically need to sneak around for the first few bags, and then you can ECM rush the final ones. I'll post an updated solo guide (no duo looting) in the future!
Nice guide, now do one how to do this in pubs
Haha, good point Chaney! For pubs, essentially hope that everyone has seen the guide, or knows what to do... otherwise, everyone is going to be doing their own thing, and you're most likely going to fail...!
what do you do when the loot drop off is on the other side and random guards on the button seeing the ziplining bags.
Then, take your time to sneakily secure the 10 bags that you ziplined, considering that:
(1) Keeping the 3 lumberyard guards marked at all times helps a lot.
(2) This is usually the safest path: steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1028451097217488611/9D8CD8810184A65D29606C0A8FC096F50595D2D6/
and after these 10, ECM rush for the other 10 following the same route that we show at the end of the video.
If you have a second player (or open the lobby just for this part) you can easily ECM rush all 20.
@@Marcmb well i sended like 2 bags and the third got detected causing a chain reaction. so RIP me I guess :D
i worked it out just one time though, i could have gotten extremely unlucky
Is there a particular reason for shooting civies and not tie them or is it just for the purpose of it being faster?
Just put one hour effort into this solo... Fifth guard detected me on the last few bags and got fckd...
@@Marcmb nah I fooled the fifth guard, but had to bring the bags to the other pickup point 🤷♂️
Anyway, I managed on the third try.

Nevermind, watched the video.
Will this be much more harder if I did it solo? I might want to try this method and finally complete this job. Thx for the tips btw

@@megamitchel100 Haha thank you! I appreciate that a lot :) For us, playing the game in conventional ways, but also using these very bizarre tricks, adds some more complexity and interesting things to do, so it's a lot of fun!

Do you always kills all civs? Or just on high difficulty heists?
At 3.05 u could have easily dumped the body somewhere else but why did u choose to go all thw way to the other end to dispose it
Good question!
Hope you had fun with the strategy :)
And yes indeed, whenever you get the boat it's absurdly easy, because the path from zipline drop-off to boat is always clear of guards, so there is no risk involved (unlike with the truck escape).
Is it natural for the guard to call HQ before being stuck?
It's very normal, yup! When he's focused on you and loses sight of you, he will start calling instantly. Until you move far away for the body bag to gain priority over you, he will continue calling. For more details, you can watch my recent Counterfeit solo stealth videos, where this is a key mechanic!
@@Marcmb thx for your guide and this I manage to finish the heist tysm
That's great to hear! Congrats on your completion, and glad I was able to help :)
Something tells me they will patch this soon, but great video anyway!
Hey SilentGamer! It's definitely an unintended effect caused by the way the AI was coded, but at this point in the game's development, it may not be fixed! Even if they fix the bag trick, I'm pretty sure the cop kiting approach, or the loud drill approach, will still work :p
Glad you enjoyed the video though, thanks a lot! :)
How far is it safe to use a silent saw? I've been doing Big Bank and sometimes the civs and guards in the floor above me gets alerted
@@Marcmb Thanks Marc that's very informative!
@@fabooshka No problem, you're welcome! :)
If he's calling when he sees that one, there may be two things you're doing wrong:
1) If you place it too close to the railing, he will call directly.

I will explain where to get them and how to install them:
· First of all, very importantly, in order for PAYDAY 2 mods to work you need to install some kind of mod-loading hook, SuperBLT being the most common one (it's a .dll file that you download and place in your PAYDAY 2 folder). Link to SuperBLT, with install instructions: superblt.znix.xyz/
*Step by step instructions to install SuperBLT*
(1) Download the files in the link (follow instructions if you need to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable package (x86), which only applies for the first time you download this hook).
You can get the "latest version" (it's a bit old, but still works) of PocoHud3 here: steamcommunity.com/app/218620/discussions/15/1457328846183663967/
*Step by step instructions to install PocoHud3 (or any mod)*
(1) All mods for PAYDAY 2 are downloaded as a .zip file, which contains just a folder inside.
· As for _Additional PocoHud trackers,_ I mainly use it for the 3.5s countdown before Sixth sense triggers, but it will also show you trackers for all kinds of things (any skill which has a duration or cooldown). Much like the previous one, everything can be toggled on and off! Link to download this one: modworkshop.net/mod/26167 -- install instructions would be the same as the instructions for PocoHud3, just above :)
That's about it! Very long response, but as you can see, installing mods is quite simple once you know how it works! If any of the steps is unclear, feel free to ask and I will clarify :) Thanks again for watching and enjoying the content!
I put the bag down to lock the guard but he called the police causing me to fail. I'm not sure what I did wrong.
Hey TheReaper! The bug relies on their inability to path close to the body bag, so if you throw it too close to the railing, their AI considers that they've already pathed close enough, and they proceed to take out their phone. I have more details about this on my Counterfeit stealth step-by-step video!
@@Marcmb ok tysm
@@thereaper4317 You're welcome! Best of luck if you retry with this new tip :)
Didn’t u have an ecm down? ur friend was answering a pager. And he didn’t start it before the ecm went down I don’t think.
Marcmb may not be able to answer your question in time because he is going to be gone for 1-2 weeks (Watch his latest video!), so I'll answer your question for you :)
For any stealth heist you will get 4 pagers maximum, but in this heist (and in some other heists too) the game makes it so that there are more than 4 guards, which makes it challenging and forces you to keep the amount of pager usage low.
@@Marcmb Ah thank you! I always thought it was 3. I always stopped at 3 and gave up if I needed 1 more kill.

It was fun having the explosive bags, but it's also a relief to know that the heist can't fail because of them!
Is duping the hard drive necessary for stealth?
Not at all, Medic! It just makes the heist faster, and also easier because sometimes you can skip certain rewires (rather than having to rewire the 4 boxes around the train).

Hey gonubax! Try typing the link again as a response to this... it gets blocked sometimes, but I can just approve it manually I think. It'll be easier to help you!
As long as the body bag is placed, you can fall off and go anywhere else. The loud drill trick is a lot easier, and I have a recent short uploaded (Daily Dose #15) that shows a better example of that!
i did the 1 approach but some guy down there heard the gun shot, did i did something wrong?

Why the fuck did i alarm the WHOLE map when i used the saw? I was using the silent motor, and it didnt help at all 🤷♂️.
@@Marcmb I am on console man 🤣. And like i mentioned, i used the silent motor.
@@aaggroberlin19 Then the likely explanation is that you were not using the silent motor! Double check your saw once again :D
If you double-check this, and the silent motor is indeed being used, keep in mind that the SILENT MOTOR still has a range of 8.5m. Most likely you alerted _someone_ who was close enough to hear, and that started a chain reaction!
@@Marcmb I checked it at least 10 times, its a silent motor 😜. Is there anything skill wise or a perk deck that i need?
@@aaggroberlin19 No skills and no perk deck needed! The saw becomes silent by itself as soon as you equip the weapon mod :(
That's why I said most likely you're using the wrong weapon mods, or causing a chain reaction and mistaking that as the saw alerting the whole map!
Maybe try sawing the air? That has a range of only 2m if you saw is truly silent, but 35m if it's not actually silent.
What is the menu you have in the top left?
Hey Robby Sodhi! That's PocoHud3, my HUD mod which is the one showing the floating timers for the pagers and drills, as well as other on-screen numbers such as: FPS meter, IRL clock, levels right next to player names, and some numbers for each player which are "Kills | Jokered enemies | Current downs | Maximum downs (before custody)". The mod is very customizable and you can toggle everything on and off, depending on what you want!
The icons you see in the top left during this video are mainly the indicator that berserker is active, stamina remaining when I sprint, and bag interaction cooldown when I throw bags.
is it possible to triplicate the hard drive?
Hey Human Grunt! It's possible, yes. It will be slightly easier if done among the 3 clients (excluding the hosts) and especially if there's ping differences between the clients.
With enough coordination, it's also possible to get 4, but that would require very good timing!
@@Marcmb I see
@@HumanGrunt You can also duplicate/triplicate it when the 2 minute hack finishes and you retrieve the hard drive (in order to place it in a different wagon). This way, even if you fail duplicating it the first time, you still have more chances to do it :)
Why do they get stuck? I dont understand why they dont call the cops even if they cant reach the bac they should be able to call cops
Hey Alucard! Nice to see you in the comments again :)
They get stuck because their pathfinding is unable to find a path from their current position to the bag position.
@@Marcmb That work on all heist?

I don't understand why advanced stealth guides just slaughter the civvies instead of binding them. Is it truly mandatory?
Does that body bag bag exploit work on consoles?
Hey SgtNut Man! It will indeed work on console: many players have confirmed this working for them on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch... if you want to try a simpler heist that relies on the same body bag trick, you can check out this step-by-step tutorial for another heist: ruclips.net/video/O7qaPho8O6A/видео.html

Btw, I found more guards around like near the train, not in the forest but the cargo area next to it, so I have to worry about the guards there or?
Hey Maxwell! There's 3 guards in the lumberyard area, but those never patrol around the train. You will only have to worry about them when securing the loot if the random escape happens to be the car escape (otherwise, it'll be boat escape).

For this Train heist I remove the drill skills because I want them to be loud.

Just tried it and one of the guards spotted the 5 guard and everyone in the lower side of the map. Does that happen from time to time or what?
Only two are left:)
Almost there, juan! I'm reading the comments a bit late, so I already know you finished the other two as well :p
does the bag glitch still work
The body bag glitch still works yup.
inb4 your future videos all feature body bag/AI abuse.
Does the trap still works until this day?
It still works on PC.
Just like *@fleshhunter* said yup. It still works on PC yup, so on console it will work as well!
I will say though there is a chance the guard tries to get a call off. So try to bring at least a pocket ecm?
@@Marcmb i see

What hud are you using
Hey VoidalMyth! That's a combination of _PocoHud3_ and _Additional PocoHud trackers._
The former is responsible for the ECM timers, as well as the floating timers for drills, time locks, hacks, pagers...

Which shotgun is used in this video?
Hey Gamer x! That's the Locomotive 12G, a secondary shotgun which is very useful for stealth.
