When I was a kid, we would spend summers at the cabin in Pine Arizona and we used to go to Strawberry Arizona and there was a Mr. Johnson I don’t remember But he had a huge garden that he would let you pick your own vegetables, and they tasted so fresh
Great video Russ! A lot of people think there is nothing to see in Arizona but a bunch of sand and loco weeds. Clearly they haven't been there or seen a video like this. Beautiful country for sure! Love it! Safe travels Man!
Reminded me of the 70's and heading up to Show Low area and we found a place to camp primitive in a creek area near a fish hatchery . My cousin blew a transmission in the ol chevy heavy half and i had to swap it out with a junk yard purchase from Tucson that was delivered by another family member who bailed me out, again !😂
🙋♀Hello Russ! Dearly loved the Campground in Page Springs. I thought the big plants by the water looked like Elephant Ears. The Bell rock was neat! Loved seeing the red flowers. Especially the happy flower. Enjoyed seeing Tonto Natural Bridge State Park. I liked the old house too. Would have been a nice dining area on top. Have a wonderful week!👍
Crystal clear video, nice commentary with a pleasant voice and interesting spots. Just the usual for this channel. That bridge was cool! Thanks for another great video!
Beautiful! I like to sit close to tv and feel like I am riding shot gun! Feels like I am on the road. Haven't done much of thst since 2020 but I did go to Tucson, Tombstone, Saguaro Lake and Tonto State Park that summer. Even passed thru Kingman, Oatman and Laughlin. Love these places. We had traveled that Wickenberg Highway. I was googling that road after trip and that was how I discovered RVerTV! Great video Russ! Be safe out there. Can't wait for more 🌵
We stopped at Tonto Natural Bridge SP a couple years ago, going from Prescott, AZ to a Harvest Host near Quemado, NM. Our rig is a 24' Winnebago Minnie Winnie, and I was in for a bit of a surprise going down, then back up that entrance road. Had to put it into the lowest gear and go about 5mph back up that hill. In any case, was super enjoyable to stop there. In our case, we ended up taking that hike to the bottom and took about 20 minutes each way. It was a bit steep in few places, but once down there it's pretty special.
Another excellent video. I know I've said it before, but I just love your attitude, and your genuine appreciation of the beauty all around us. Back in the village of Oak Creek, that place with the big smoking barbecue was the Colt Grill. Their food is excellent, and the portions are very generous. They're open for breakfast, which makes for a great start to the day. If I ever meet you on the road, I'll buy you a root beer. I'm not an RVer, although I often dreamed about it when I was younger.
I visited there about 25 or so years ago. The entrance and parking area looked nothing like what your video shows. When I pulled up to pay the smaller fee back then the “Resident mule” stuck its head into my car to clear me into the park. The ranger then told me that the mule was just doing her job. It was a very friendly mule. The park was much more prímative and homey.
Hey Russ another great Vid and timely too for us. We are camping near Cottonwood and drove our motorcycles through Page Springs Wednesday after Memorial day and headed up to Tonto in mid June
My husband and I lived there for six months while our house was being built. Love the atmosphere. And you can hike in there and go to the Fish Hatchery. We Love the hiking there. Thank you we didn’t know about Tonto State Park in Payson area.
That’s the old way down you will go down to the bottom and we used to fish trout out of there. They only got about six or 8 inches long but it tasted really good.
When I was a kid, there was a small hole in the center where the water came out and from the picture it looks like it’s growing a lot bigger. They used to be about 5 feet around Luxor a lot bigger now.
This was truly AMAZING! Loved every minute. Great filming, Russ. Thanks. Tonto Park is beautiful. Got a real kick out of the face on the cliff at View Pt 3 n 4 and again at 44:29. Extra fun. Safe travels. RVerTV… the best show in town!
Good one, Russ. This fills in my sightseeing around there, I couldn't see a lot from Hwy 17 on the Greyhound. Mogollon Rim, Russ! Keep that camera going if you catch a glimpse of the Mogollon Monster you'll go viral! It'll be better than catching you with a cup of McDonalds coffee! 😅😂🤣😅
It must be amazing to live in that trailer park, it looks like an oasis, heaven on earth. Thank you for showing us the Tonto natural bridge and well as the village of oak creek. Arizona is a lovely state. Special thanks for the previous video on the giant cactus. Best wishes and health. Safe travels.
Wow. I never knew about the winery's or the natural bridge, what a video treat. Still amazed how well maintained Arizonas town's and state parks are. No wonder you call it home. Be well and wishing you safe travels.
Tonto Natural Bridge... visited in the early 70's. I think it was still privately owned. We were able to swim in that pool under the bridge!! Had a lot of fun there. Trail wasn't too bad back then. Thanks for the memory.
Russ, (second comment), thank you for this wonderful video! Tonto State Park, Natural Bridge is spectacular! Question: When you are out there in the early morning hours like that, are there mosquitos bothering you? Thanks!
Wow, just got back into the country after being on a month-long trip to Slovakia. It was great to sit down and see what's happening with RVer TV........
Real nice Russ another cool journey. The nice thing about traveling with you is I don't have to worry about watching for road signs. Safe trip as always.
Yeeeee! I love Sedona, and the surrounding areas. I first found your channel two years ago when you posted the Montezuma's Castle video. I've been following your channel, since then. This video is now one of my top favorites. Beautiful!!! Love those "Kodak" moments!
Dont know if page springs had to evacuate a couple months ago but a few camp grounds on oak creek had to account of the snow melt and rain. Did alot of damage all along the creek. Also 89A had a land slide that closed that road for a couple weeks. Keep on truckin Russ.
Beautiful views beautiful trip 👍🏼 Thank you for showing the hummingbirds one of my favorite things about Arizona is there are Hummingbirds year round 💕
Russ! Noticed you have a bug deflector on the front of your van. I have the same van but in the 144 model. How much of a difference did it make for your windshield?
That old building used to be where the family lived. I can’t remember their last name but they used to charge people to walk down to the bottom of that I think and tell people got hurt and got sued over it but
I really enjoyed this video it brought back many memories . I loved seeing Beaver Flats road by cornville paved . When I lived in the Villsge of oak creek it was a dirt road . Back in 2004 . Page Springs had the best steakhouse around . ❤I lived in that area 20 years . How it has changed is sad it’s all for rich people now . They closed the schools my kids went to. Big Park Elementary School. 😢
Im glad youre there, I will be there in a couple weeks. I study the dwellings of the ancients and all i see are such...i mean all over...tx so much. hint...these ones knew the art of turning stone to clay...its all about scales. the scales of perception... that happen without us really knowing it, when we look out at such beauty, such simplicity..it takes my breath away...
We went there several times in 1980 83, 84 before there was any infrastructure. There's a hole in the top that you could look down through and take a picture from the bottom, which I have one showing me peeping through from the top.
Surely wish I Can ride with you Russ, i’ll be your Server on board, make you sandwich, coffee, etc, etc😂😂😂… one of these days we might Cross each other
I was following along on Google maps, you pulled into the parking spot at the tonto natural Bridge. On Google maps I can see your van in the parking lot!

Thanks for the tour, Russ
Used to be (back in the 90's) Sedona's real estate was, on whole, the most expensive real estate in the continental US. Probably still is 😛
Believe Russ ,Oak creek village has the only Mc Donald’s with a Green M sign in the world 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👍
