Wow. Just wow. I am blown away by this teaching. I was just explaining the meaning of the 10th commandment to my 11 year old son tonight and remembered seeing this series on RUclips. This is exactly what I was telling him, but expressed better and more in depth than what I could articulate. Thank you so much. Pastor Jim I just want you to be aware and you have no need to be jealous of any influence there's no matter how many more people they have because the information you give can't be absorbed by everybody but it's information that really needs to be given

I've wrestled with this commandment for a long time because I'm an artist with many passions and desires that must be 'aimed' rather than indulged. It's not wrong to desire. It's how we are made. There are good and bad desires. Example. My neighbor is a contractor and has found himself an excellent, trustworthy workman as a helper. I need a helper too and wanted to ask him to share his workman with me on weekends or something but in my heart I knew that my work is more fun and his helper would quit and come work for me full time and that would lead to my neighbor resenting or hating me. So I let the idea go. On the other hand I just saw SOUND OF FREEDOM and I DESIRE to be just like Tim Ballard. I want purpose, I want an amazing wife, I want many beautiful children and I want a God Given Purpose. Thats a healthy intense desire. See the difference. One is toxic, the other is inspirational and purposeful in Gods eyes.
