Dude, I made this press off these 3 part videos. Slight modifications that suite my liking…. It has turned my hobby knife making into a real knife making joy! Thank you for posting! Its been a game changer!

WHAT! I get to have the first comment on part III
First of all let me commend you sir on your fine work, narration, and the appearance and function of your forging press. Bravo and well done. 👏
Love how you shared your trials and errors along the way and the way you overcame them.
After part 3 watched the making of your other dyes and of course liked and definitely subscribed.
Thank you for sharing your builds withe the RUclips's and take care, keep all your fingers, toes, eyes, ears, and hair. Stay awesome 👌

I've been looking for a build like this for a while. Fine work sir.
May I make a suggestion for your foot pedal. If you were to add a tension spring to the release side of the pedal, when you lift your foot off, you would automatically release the pressure. making the process even less labour intensive.
Again, excellent work, just a suggestion.

i sketched up more of a materials list than an actual plan, Tyrell Knifeworks was my inspiration on this build, its basically 5 ft tall with a 1ft wide sliding head

    What was your total cost?

If you price out everything in his outline you are looking at 1453.32 ish and that isn't including the cost of the steel that you need. Depending on how you source your steel you are looking at 1650 low-end if you can get some scrap for cheap and about 2k if you can't.
