Replacing 2013 Ford Explorer Steering Wheel Controls

This video will explain how to replace the steering wheel controls on a 2013 Ford Explorer without removing the steering wheel. Remember to disconnect the battery before doing any work. I only replaced the right control which is for the stereo. The cruise control would be the same except replacing the left control. The stereo control for the 2013 Ford Explorer is Motorcraft SW-6783.

Did you turn the key to the accessories position before pulling the cable on the battery? Otherwise I don’t think I could turn my steering wheel if it was locked

How did you turn the steering wheel with out the battery being hooked up

Just remove the screws before disconnecting the battery and removing the airbag 😀
