The AS3X receivers need to be programmed in the correct orientation and need to be firmly mounted.

I'm sure you got it figured out by now. But I had a AR7350 which I had no issue with the first plane it was in. Then the receiver sat for about a year unused. I put it in a new Unique Model RC Corsair and I got the same issue. Dead. Wouldn't light up. I was stumped. I did save the remote receiver and my plane bound. (Everything, and I mean everything was in Reverse- Throttle, Aileron, Elevator, Rudder, Gear, Flaps. That has me a little concerned)

indeed, the system start to bind when the satelite receiver is connected.

I hate these receivers I got sucked into using them found they are very difficult to adjust one thing I hate is they tell you to adjust subtrim, gains, expo all using their programming utility not on your radio but when the cable is connected you can't use your radio how can you adjust these things I have to remove programming cable then I can adjust. I'm so done with spektrum I'm selling all mine going to frsky.

Wow, thanks for clearing that up. I have been trying to get an AR9350 and 7350 working all weekend and was having the exact same issues. No internet search or Spektrum support was helpful. Spektrum even recommended sending the Rx back for support. Let's see if this fixes it. Thanks for sharing!

I sent the unit back to Horizon Hobby for check out. The remote receiver must be connected for the min receiver to bind. The 15 part Spektrum AS3X receiver videos says the remote is an option. Nothing in the manual. Plus tech support never said anything about it. The receiver was shipped back to me. I reinstalled it in the plane with the remote receiver. Bind worked!!!!
