AMG GT - Edition 1 Wing Install

- How to install an Edition 1 wing onto a standard AMG GT series car.
Take note I'm not a mechanic and this is only my opinion on how this installation can be done.

I just came across this video. I own an Edition 1 and I like wing, but I also like the retractable wing. It looks cool when it extends. Great video!

Great diy video thanks for sharing. How did you overcome the auto open of the spolier?
Sorry forgot to check this video for comments. The spoiler is driven by the motor as seen in this video. By disconnecting it from the wing, the motor will still turn, and you'll have no fault codes on the car. Its just not connected to anything. Thats how I got around that issue. I ended up just cutting the 2 shafts off hte motor so it didn't rattle.

Could you not measure the coil resistance of the motor and substitute it for a fixed resistor to keep the can bus happy?
That sounds like something a smart person would do. I am not that person.
Hi Ben .... I have a 2019 AMG GT owned for a few days I had a Porsche C4S a few years back and replaced the Electric Spoiler with a Misha GT2 fixed wing ... so followed your Handy Video went online and found a ‘One Only’ CF Wing and ordered it instantly due the 27 th March
I’ll be following your detailed instructions

@@kennethnisbet8795 - there is also a "wing delete module" available what remove the 200km/h limit again from MB when unplug motor & you have no error code. Will install mine today & can report you back :)
