You might not remember me, but I was the girl who reached out to you on Instagram many years ago. I drew you standing in front of the ocean and you had posted it on your account. I’ve since deleted my Instagram, but I just wanted to let you know that you continue to be my biggest inspiration. I’m on my 11th year playing violin, I’m 18 now, and I’m majoring in music performance :)) Listening to you play violin brings me such a sense of serenity and brings me back to when I first discovered your amazing grace video all those years ago when I was just learning violin. This video brought me to tears. You’ve changed my life so much, I just need you to know how thankful I am for you and your beautiful music.

So beautiful. I feel like this really captures everything that is the essence of Taryn. So many incredible sounds and emotions, all at once it is solemn and joyous, sentimental and adventurous, soothing and uplifting. It has a certain bitter-sweetness that only folk music can truly capture. And the end is almost otherworldly. Its haunting melancholy is somehow accompanied by a deep sense of peace. Just incredible.
