Okay So I know I'm really late to this But what if Cups and Mugs are demidemons? From my knowledge, Cuphead, Mugman, Elder Kettle, and Chalice are the only "cups" within the universe, or the only people who are actively used to hold liquid in them. Chalice is something that is typically reserved for special occasions, or high society, I'm relatively sure, so it makes sense that she is an important figure. (If I'm remembering correctly, she was a holy spirit of some sorts? It's been a while.) Elder Kettle also has odd, magic knowledge, and is able to make use of artifacts that the Cupbros are unable to. My theory is that he is some blessed figure, or a messenger of the gods, who has lived an extended life. Kettles are also used to fill other cups, and Elder Kettle "fills" the Cupbros with knowledge, wisdome, and love for his adopted sons. By the time Casino Cups hits, he's finally reached the end of his extended life, and possibly served his purpose of educating the young cups? This brings me to the Cupbros. If the two other "liquid containers" are holy figures, or messengers of gods, then how does that relate to the Cupbros? Well, unlike chalices, cups are for everyday use. They are used to hold an assortment of liquids, and can be used for practically anything. So while Chalice could be seen as noble, the cups are seen as common. And isn't the comman man what the devil goes for? My belief is that the Cupbros are demidemons with stagnant abilities, some of which were released with the potion given to them by Elder Kettle. When Casino Cups hits, those powers are sealed off again, which I believe is due to their bodies not beinf quite ready to handle the full power for an extended period of time. I think that if they wait, they will mature enough to where their abilities will naturally unseal themselves. This is due to being demidemons, rather that full demons, as it prevents their constitutions from being high enough to handle demonic abilities in full until they are fully aged. Anyways, I just like to think this is what's happening :) It would also explain why Cuphead and Mugman were able to defeat everyone in the first place. They have the tenacity of someone born to a "human" (and I use that word simply because I currently do not remember or have another word for all the beings who aren't demons in the Cuphead universe) family, and the strength of a demon (even if they cannot harness that strength in full quite yet.) It also explains their more violent urges, paired with the compassion they give to others. They get a little of both worlds, Cuphead with slightly more demonic urges but a much softer side hidden underneath, and Mugman who normally has a very calm and kind disposition, and has sinister thoughts lurking just beneath the surface. Anyways, if you read this all the way through, thoughts on my theory?
Ash: Interesting...while Rose focuses on the Dsmp/hermitcaft,Empires I will do Casino cups. *coughs* 932, Ihave a thorey that may not make sense but roll with it....I think since Cuphead is considered "greedy" that is a sin in the hell ring of greed therefore making Cuphead a demon bound to hell. What do you think Ms.932?
Please do part four I’m really interested but what if Cuphead is half demon half angel type of thing because he can go down and lower parts of hell but he can also see chalice like only Angels can see angels at least I think I could be wrong, but that’s my theory maybe I’m right,
Okay

Amazing idea!
What happened to cuphead is like the living "HOW DID HE NOT DIE!?" meme 😂
Also I also have so many questions
I love how devil just dragging cuphead out of the portal isn't him upset, more of: Come on let's go Cuphead

there is a flaming image of cup head with a broken halo when he spits fire aft drinking the devils dink
I just went back and watched it. HOLY CRAP THERE IS. I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU CAUGHT THAT!! I think it's either the broken halo or devil horns.
