Thanks man! Helped so much. I just heard something about unlocking FPS in DBD and, I kid u not, when I checked my files, it was locked at 30 fps. I just thought DBD was demanding and thats why it wasn't smooth for me, and I have rx6800 + r9 5950x. Thanks again!
Playing on 120 fps compared to 60 fps feels so smooth and makes me enjoy the game more. Also the reshade makes it easier for to play DBD because I don't struggle in the dark anymore :D

Yo one question, ive just put all the FPS settings into the ones u said and put my graphic settings to the lowest in the ingame graphic settings, its still on 60, what could be a reason for this? I dont think my pc specs are the reason for this man, greets from germany dude!
The thing is i had it on 30 before without even knowing it, so 60 is better than before but i do want to have it on atleast 90-100, 120 would be optimal

this helps alot and is amazing and i just came back since the in head chapter ALOT HAS CHANGED and everything just felt so wrong but this worked out all the quirks and little hiccups But for nothing in the world can my frame rate pass 62 its just dead stuck at 62 even though i changed it in the ini

Good tips in general. I would just change the end script about the peer verification. I'm no expert, and please correct me if I am wrong, but seems to me that it makes the connection vulnerable.

Hmmm... I also would not really check the read only box on the first file, since most people won't even remember where to find this file and might want to change the settings in game.

Hey i followed your video and everything worked aside from my in game settings are different from the file settings even on read only for example my fps was set to 120 but my in game settings is 60
I've got a lot of crashes by using reshade, coz i alt tab very much, so i decided to fully uninstall it, coz fulscreen-windowed has fps drops + ms loss, that so sadge tho :( Good vid keep up mate!

im not sure if this is just me, but after the new update , my settings just wont transfer to the game. everything just looks like how it did before, and i did do this before the update, it worked but now its not

Recently if you un-install the game then install it again your perks show up at the top right of the lobby. Is there anyway to get rid of this by going into my folder settings? If so, that would be amazing.

I’m confused on why you cap your fps to 120 through both engine and gameusersettings, just one of them works.
after i changed my settings theres a glitch now where certain charms have a small, pixel sized line sticking straight up, giving away survivors positions...
When I bring up the reshade plug-in on dbd, in the statistics tab, my Clarity tex 1&2 are set to 1280x720.
Tex 3 is set to 640x360.
I’m unable to change these values.
Btw my game is also dropping hella frames. When I’m loading dbd it says it’s 120. At the menu it’s 28-58fps and same in game.

for the love of god, if you have a gpu that can run dx12 pretty well, or an intel arc gpu, make sure your launch settings has -dx12 for dbd

Btw, if it doesn't work for y'all, I did have to put BOTH - FPSLIMIT and Frameratelimit at 120. Also I can't tab out of the game anymore (laptop 3 fingers slide) I just press my windows key now.. don't know what caused this! :p

Hiya mate, I did all this for the steam version, after i'd finished with the engine folder and i put it on read only, the steam fps counter at my top right still said "60fps", is this just a bug with the counter you think?
