    It's hard to believe one man can have this formula for sound in his head. Truly a miracle.

      Well, oddly enough, it's not that difficult to come up with this type of music. You just need to know how; that's what knowing music is all about. What makes THIS music so special is actually very simple: Byrd had GREAT TASTE in music. That's the secret formula: He knew how AND had great taste. It's easy to know how; but, having great taste and being able to make use of it will occur less often. Of course, the Tallis Scholars have something to do with it, too (wink, wink).

    I had the absolute privilege of singing Tallis' Spem in Alium with the Tallis Scholars, an incredible experience. I truly did not know how amazingly in tune choral music can be until I heard them live. Remarkable

    You can really feel how the composers of this era were experimenting with sound and musical phrase. It's almost like you can hear the fun that Byrd had when composing this.

    Like the first light of dawn, this music opens your eyes to new promises and to all the wonders of nature. Evocative of powers beyond observation, these pieces pull the strings of the heart, attract nostalgia and awaken the loves, the skinned lives and torpor of the sleeping watchmen💐💐

    Gloria ti bi Domine! Laudate Dominum! Gloria in Excelsis Deo et in Terra Pace! Christus Vincit! Christus regnat! Christus imperat! Amen! Holy Mass is the most precious gift given to all humanity to discover true Love & Peace. If people knew truly the true value of the Holy Mass, they would leave everything behind them, and follow Jesus Christ Saviour of all humanity. May Joy & Peace of Jesus of Nazareth reign in the heart of all humanity in its diversity now and forever! Amen! Jeannette of Nazareth
    La Sainte Messe est le plus beau et précieux cadeau descendu du ciel pour la rédemption de toute l'humanité de la misère. Si le monde entier savait la vraie valeur de la Messe et le grand sacrifice de Jésus de Nazareth et sa vraie signification, tout le monde aurait laissé derrière eux toutes les séductions du matérialisme et aurait suivi Jésus-Christ, le Sauveur du monde entier. Que la Joie et la Paix de Jésus de Nazareth règne dans le cœur de toute l'humanité dans sa diversité maintenant et pour toujours! Amen! Jeannette de Nazareth

    Comme la première lumière de l'aube, cette musique ouvre les yeux à de nouvelles promesses et à toutes les merveilles de la nature. Evocatrices de pouvoirs au-delà de l'observation, ces pièces tirent les ficelles du cœur, attirent les nostalgies et réveillent les amours, les vies écorchés et la torpeur des veilleurs endormis¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    I think William Byrd the composer of this song was born in 1538. And he did die in 1623. He was 85 which is a really long time for that particular time period.

    • @mikebeazley969
      @mikebeazley969 6 лет назад

      The specific year of Byrd's birth is uncertain. In his will, dated 15 November 1622, he describes himself as "in the 80th year of my age", suggesting a birthdate of 1542 or 1543. However a document dated 2 October 1598 written in his own hand states that he is "58 yeares or ther abouts", indicating an earlier birthdate of 1539 or 1540.
