i used to drive a truck in europe as a young lad. local last mile, industrial, commercial, residential, LTL, home every night. nice job, but a lot of work unloading ball bearings and sofas all day. but home every night. 30 or so stops, but could have walked home from any of them. then national and international for a motocross tire manufacturer. so no issues with dispatch. gone for 3-4 days at a time, germany, france, spain, italy, switzerland, austria. interesting but not being home gets old. so now 30 years later, i would only consider local, intermodal home every day stuff. I still like trucks and driving, but it is hard to beat my current work from home deskjob :) Sucks that dispatch is not better for such a big outfit as schneider. still, if the pay is good it is more of an inconvenience, i guess. I like power only, would not want to deal with stashing a trailer. in a neighborhood.
Trucker style Shaun did some well enough paid work hunting down and recovering lost trailers between normal power only jobs in the 6 months or so before he cleared off to the oil fields.
Yeah he hated it plus he had that single axle and couldn’t haul any weight so he had a hell of a time now that he is a roughneck he can’t call anyone anymore lol forgot about his you tube trucker buddy’s
Yeah fuckers send me a gps areal photo and say if you don’t know where this is Based on the photo I’ll send you the address luckily I’m a fairly smart person and pay attention to my surroundings all the time an knew where it was lol still sitting at the dock at Walgreens dc ugh!!
@@donmccord 4$ a mile is good though and the fact you can drop that and bobtail home is even better. I think if it wasn’t a pain with the app it may be a decent gig here and there
Purposely walk around your truck of around the truck stop..legs falling asleep is nothing to ignore. Purple an orange look good together. frame rails, wheel holes… Keep on truckin!
Yeah I had my shoes kicked off and had my left leg kicked up on my right knee and left knee was crammed against the steering column while I was sitting just a weird position my foot didn’t like it I guess lol
Great video Don glad to see Purple out working. To bad with the power only load with Schneider. Don't know much about how you get your loads . But trying something different is part of finding other options stay safe Don.
