CE, truck transmissions generally have a 6 bolt on the right side, and the 8 bolt on the bottom.. there are adapter plated to the 8 bolt also. Gears are all different.. sometimes you can change the PTO guts around, sometimes you can't. The transmission PTO gear comes in all different speeds too.. 100% gear is 1:1 will the engine speed. 200% is twice the engine speed.... Now I know how a hot shift works😁 Thanks for the video!!!
i have pto's laying all over....i always end up buying a new pto. it has never been cost effective to buy the parts to make a used one work on what i am building. i have a hotshift pto i removed from an allision 1000. it uses an adapter that interrupts the cooler line and taps line pressure for control. nice to see you making progress on the project.
CE, any chance you can help me identify my PTO and pump? On a ‘69 C50 with the SM465 4-speed trans. No tag on the PTO, but the casting/stamping on the PTO case appears to be Ci-p-223. Pump casting number is 10-10733D. Pump tag says it’s a model number 102-C-0726-C. Hoping to identify everything so I can get the leaks stopped!!
If you can flip the guts around to have the shaft come out the front, can you flip it around to work on the passenger side of the transmission? I'd love to have one run a hydrolic winch but my front drive shaft will definately interfere. Its a zf5 juat like yours,, just have a BW1356 on the back. Thanks!
What a timely video! Good information! Wish I would have learned this from you weeks ago so I didn't look like an idiot on my video asking if that one of mine will work on an NV4500 lol! So, I guess I'll just be on the lookout for one that fits my NV4500. But I may just run an electric clutch and have my hydraulic pump belt-driven anyway, we'll see. No hurry. Thanks for the video!
Actually I made this video a day or two before you posted yours. Just never got it edited! So you have the fuel problem solved? Can't wait for the update! Thanks for watching BD
I do like those zf5 transmissions! Have 3 trucks that have one, all f450s, the 97 f450 is bucket truck that was converted to 4x4. They mounted the PTO on the driver side and the front drive shaft still has room.
@@cesmith4566 that truck has the pump built into the PTO. It has hydraulic hoses coming off it leading to the hydraulics in the bed and rear outriggers. The rams for the booms both have slow leaks. They appear to be in excellent shape otherwise.
Grandpa had a Chevy c30 truck with a Chelsea PTO in it from when he bought it. Bought it in a basket, took him a year and a half to fix it up, had a dump bed on it which is electric. Just has the Chelsea sticker in the cab

Yeah I've got boxes of them figuring some days I'll have the parts I need ,no luck! I had to buy a set of springs the 450 ones were too short!
Thank you for sharing the information,I’ve learned something new and different!
Thanks for watching Scott! Did you guys get frost the other night? Been cold here ,no planting!
Good video Ce

Do you what pto model will fit a 1984 F250 4 speed t19 transmission? I know it has a 6 bolt pattern on the right and left side of the tranny.

@@cesmith4566 Yeah, I think so! I still need to do another long test drive, but the short one was great until something else broke!

That's good to know . They must have a pump close coupled to it !
