Awesome, thanks for the shout out. I'll definitely be buying those chebs, hooks, tackle box and snaps. I had #0000 snaps but didn't use them because they were too small but the ones you recommended seem a little wider so I can imagine these will be easier to handle :)
Hey Jacob! I need to get the video cards up to link to your videos and my other reviews haha. Forgot to do that before I went to bed last night 😅. Keep trying to use the quad 0s. They can be a total pain at first but once you get the muscle memory down it becomes second nature. Cheers my friend!
I have the purelure zero as well. It's really good. The solid tip is very sensitive, with plenty of backbone in the middle to butt section. Great build of a rod with Fuji components. Even the rid bag is great. A really thick neoprene bag. Plus I got a shoulder rod carrier for free as well.
Hey Andy! That’s a great review my friend! I would agree with your assessment of the rod and it’s why it made the list of picks to share. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience with us and cheers my friend!
Thanks for the size/hook suggestion so on soft plastics. Been tempted to pick up some of those worms, but wasn’t sure on hook sizing. Definitely picking up a few with my next order. Much appreciated
Hey jano! My pleasure I need to do more videos sharing the tackle I enjoy using haha. That being said, the Polaris and outkit ewg really is my main go to confidence setup at my lake lol. Kind of crazy how well it’s worked… cheers my friend!
Hey doc! Wow now that is an awesome price! I hope you enjoy the reel as it’s been a pleasure to cast with. Feels overbraked but it isn’t and with the right rod can cast well under 1g. Look forward to your thoughts and experience with the reel! Cheers my friend!
Hey Matt! I’ve heard a lot of stories about the 0.2 snapping during casts and so have relegated to just using 0.4 or 0.6 as they’re still quite thin and yet have a beefier diameter. Awesome to hear that it’s working out for you! Cheers my friend!
@BFSFISHINGCHANNEL - I'll have to try casting the heavier lures with the .2 to see if it snaps. I can totally see that happening. I exclusively use the .2 along with 2lb test leader for my 1gram panfish jig. But it's held up against 2lb bass. I bet that line isn't the best at sudden shock like you said. Thanks for the heads up. I find .6 to be too bulky for the 1-2 gram, but my 1/32 ned rig (4-5gr total) it's amazing
Hey Tony! Thanks for sharing that! Unfortunately, I do have a Mansory but never recommended it as mine does not perform very well =\. I do know others that have liked theirs though. Cheers my friend!
Hey Abel! I think this is also another purelure, DMK produced, reel that is on sale. Unfortunately I have not heard much about it but I believe it uses a very similar braking system to the silver feather. I’m not quite sure why you would choose that over the silver feather tho. I think the SF is plenty capable for bass fishing unless you’re pulling monster double digit fish? Then in that case I’d say yea you might need a bit more of a heavy duty reel with more drag haha 😅. Cheers my friend!
Hey Tony! I’m not too well versed on the spinning side of fishing anymore after getting into bfs haha. However, thank you for sharing that info! Cheers my friendn
Many, many thanks for this video. I just purchased $63 worth of bargains I would not have otherwise known about. Btw, how big a difference is there in casting 1 gram lures between the $35 and $90 BFS reels referenced in the video?
Hey Jay! That’s so awesome to hear that you were able to get some good deals! For 1g casting I’d say that the reels are fairly close to each other in terms of distance. Under 1g that’s where the two start to differ with the pricier silver feather outcasting the Acura pro due to a lighter spool, smaller spool diameter and also a better braking system. I’d say that the pricier silver feather is also built better and has better ergonomics and is a lot lighter in weight with about a 20g difference between the two. Additionally, the drag clickers sound very different with the silver feathers clicker sounding closer to what a spinning reel might sound like and the Acura pro sounding very much like a daiwa baitcasting clicker. Imho, the silver feather is totally worth the sale price but the Acura pro is also a great bargain! Cheers my friend!
@BFSFISHINGCHANNEL - cheers! I met an angler last week who's an Ali Express bfs junkie like myself and has that reel, so I got to experience it! I was sold the minute I casted it. I was using the Aurora Air that day but the Silver Feather wasn't as finicky and felt better using it.
@@mattmain237 hey Matt! Yea the aurora air while a capable casting reel just doesn’t feel like it lives up to its price imho. The silver feather is just a more capable reel and also way more convenient to cast with imho. Cheers my friend!
Hi, I am Japanese and I decided to try a budget BFS reel and I recently bought the ACURA HICC-50 based on your video and I like it. By the way, I am also recently interested in the SEASIR M1 reel, do you have any plans to review it in the future? That reel has a metal frame, 28mm diameter lightweight spool, and it says that 1g can be cast, although the rewinding speed is a little slow for me personally. However, I am not sure if I should be adventurous as there are not many reliable reviews at the moment.
Hey Mile! Thanks for letting us know about your experience with the Acura pro! Glad you are enjoying the reel. As far as the Seasir m1 is concerned it is a hard “do not recommend” from myself. I did purchase one but could not bring myself to make a review for it as it was so disappointing… The reel frame is metal but has a cheap outer plastic “skin”. The handle flexes terribly, the handle knobs are poorly shimmed, and the clicker is not pleasing to hear and is a bit jerky. The spool is lightweight at a smaller 28mm diameter but I cannot bring myself to recommend the reel to anyone… Instead, I would point people to look at the purelure silver feather which is on sale currently. Very capable at casting low weights and virtually backlash free casting as well. Hope that helps and cheers my friend!
@@BFSFISHINGCHANNEL Thanks for the reply. I knew there was a reason why SERSIR M1 was not selling well. Thanks to you I did not waste my money. I will also check out your recommendation of SILVER FEATHER. I also look forward to more videos in the future.
@mile1609m hey Mile! Yep for very convenient yet capable casting the silver feather has been amazing. Similar casting profile to the kk kestrel elite, kestrel and valiant eagle 2 but can go down to 0.5g and is not overbraked. It has virtually no free spool which is a bit odd but it casts amazingly. Cheers my friend!
@@BFSFISHINGCHANNEL I fish in the ocean, so I want a BFS rod longer than 7f, but ALIEXPRESS BFS rods are basically short ones for trout and bass. What is your experience with plastics melting when stored in cases like that? I'm thinking as long as brands are not mixed it will be fine. Also the supercontinent material doesn't seem to melt or bleed.
Hey Jacob! Yea I’ve learned not to leave plastics in tackle boxes for a long time or mixed with different brands/types of plastics. I have a few soft plastics binders that I use but I’ve slowly just started to leave plastics in their packaging and then when I find the ones I often use I’ll store those in a small tackle box and keep them together or individually. I never put TPR based plastics in plastic tackle boxes though. Don’t want to melt the boxes. While I love TPR plastics they do have their times when they can be a pita.
