Hey Artie! I'm so happy you and Mr. Vintage had a great vacation. Sounds like you were productive and also had some great conversation time while covering the miles. You certainly did not owe us an explanation, but your bravery in sharing will be helpful to so many. You carry so much, and I'm amazed at how you manage it all so well. I'm certain the bullying must have been the weight that topped it off. I'm excited that you're returning regularly to flosstube. You are a joy to watch, and I always look forward to your new episodes. Please take care of yourself first and know that your fans are cheering you on ♡
Artie I am so pleased that you are back. Physical and Mental are connected and who we all are. Thankfully you have found that the medication tipped the balance. Prayers for your health! Bless Your Heart!
Your willingness to share your struggles may very well help someone else who is struggling. Depression is insidious no matter what the cause. Praying you continue to feel better in body, mind, and spirit.
Bless your heart. Depression is no joke no matter how it comes about. I deal with it and it is a day by day process. You have nothing to feel bad or ashamed about. You are human. Know it’s okay to say NO when you are overwhelmed. You are important and you need to take care of yourself. Can’t wait to start seeing more of you! ❤
We love you girl! So glad you are doing better! Love your ideas for how you want to do the Christmas in July project. And the Jacket on your Artic Santa is beautiful in the variegated color! Thanks for sharing your life with us Artie😊🤗❤️
Hi Arttie! I spent a nice evening with you. It felt like you and I were just sitting and chatting; I don't feel like just a number of a subscriber! I was stitching on a Dimensions piece from 1987 that someone else had started. The backstitch lines in those charts are a challenge. You are right -- you can do it, just one stitch at a time. Take care my friend and happy stitching. And the same caring thoughts go to the other 15,300 of our friends here!
It's never necessary to explain your struggles but the fact that you shared your story is a good sign of your positive progress. Depression is tough, personal and often hard to recognize. I'm glad you had people around you that recognized a possible problem. Please, continue to take care of yourself and not overdue. You are an asset to our stitching community. 💞
I so appreciate you sharing your experience with mental health. You are Not alone!!! I’m watching with my 6 year old grandson and he said,” I really like that Santa lady.. can we watch more of her?”😂 He loved all of your Prairie Schoolers and enjoyed your video. ❤ thanks for coming back to Flosstube!!! Denise
You are already headed in the right direction, by being aware of your struggles and your willingness to share them. This may help someone else with their personal issues. Cross stitching is good therapy. Prayers for you.
Thank you so much for your honesty. My husband battles depression too and it’s rough. Praying for you and your husband as you find your balance again. Love watching you Artie!
I’m glad you are feeling better, Artie. We all have those challenging seasons, so you aren’t alone. Cross stitching helps me cope. I really like Prairie Schooler Santa’s. I have been wanting to try stitching a couple in non- traditional colors.
Thank you for sharing! I am sure it will help others. Your thinking you couldn’t share your struggles is stinkin thinkin!! Of course you should share! You are worth it. You are the only you there is!! Irreplaceable. So grateful you figured it out and got off the meds! You are taking steps to gain mental health!! Hip hop hooray!! Hugs. So glad you are sticking around!!!
G'day Arttie so good to have you back. Sorry to hear what you have been going through but glad to hear that you are feeling better. Your stitching is always beautiful. I love the Santa's and hope to try a few of those in the future. Look forward to the next video. Take care of yourself.
Thank you so much for sharing your mental health issues I too suffer from depression it's not a disease you can see so many people don't believe you God bless you
How brave of you! You have probably helped so many people with this discussion. I pray for continued improvement in all things for you. You will succeed!
Thank you for sharing. Not enough of us recognize when we are struggling or afraid to speak up. It’s nothing to be embarrassed about, it’s okay to not be okay. I look forward to your next flosstube, Happy stitching!
Oh! Your coloring books, might I suggest Qatercolir Pencils, then a slightly damp paintbrush to bring the colors to life. I absolutely love coloring and then tried the Watercolor Pencils.... A totally new joy. ♥️💜
Totally agree with you on the backstitching on dimensions kits. I just finished one and luckily l work on a copy so l just printed another off for my back stitches
Very glad to aee you again. I am very sorry that you experienced such a difficult time and you are probably not totaal out of the woods yet. Loved your Santa's. I do have a couple of the ones I have not stitched yet kitted up too. They are a Joy to work on. Look forward to your next video. Best wishes from the Netherlands, Maud
We love you and are here to support you. Big hugs. I am glad you are starting to feel better. Grandchildren will help keep happiness in your life. I hope I can come to your retreat one day. We met at port huron retreat. Simple videos are great.Primitive sound wonderful for Christmas in July.
I agree that the coloring is very relaxing and meditative, but also feeds and supports our creative side at the same time. Good to see you back, glad you figured out the medication was the main factor.
Take care of yourself. We all get overwhelmed at some point in our life. For some of us it takes a bit to get ourselves back together and that is ok. We all handles things in our way in our time. I am glad you are feeling better and we’re able to recognize that it was the medicine. Coloring has always been a fun past time for me. It is very relaxing and takes care of the stress as well. I have several adult coloring books and pull them out every so often. I too went and bought the huge box of coloring pencils because why not - and 12 colors is just not enough sometimes. I also have markers that I use on occasion too. Enjoy the coloring!!
So glad you are back on floss tube! I have really missed watching you. I am on Facebook but can’t get the hang of Patreon plus you have to pay for it every month. These things add up. Anyway I understand your dilemma with the depression. It can be very bad. Been there, done that. You do seem happier now. You take care of you. That’s what is important. And the coloring is calming so when you feel stressed just take a break and color. Love you girl!
Our mental health is just as important as our physical health. Do not apologize for making your discovery and taking care of yourself. If the truth be told, every one of us has one struggle or another. Don’t feel embarrassed. You are in good company. Okay…off of my soap box. Love your changes on the Prairie Schooler Santa’s jackets. Bless you. ❤
When we shared a hug and a great commiseration about the twin monsters of depression and anxiety I had no idea things were so bad for you right then! You were amazing. All the energy that must have taken. You are my heron. If you haven’t been done the rabbit hole you can’t get it. Welcome back.
Wow! I am so impressed by your car stitching! I can barely stitch mill hills in the car. I just found your channel, I am sorry to hear of your recent struggles but are glad you are giving it another go! I enjoyed your video today, happy stitching!
I’m sorry for the struggles you’ve had and thank you for sharing even though you didn’t have to. I’m glad you are getting better. Looking forward to your videos. You made me feel better!❤❤
I discovered flosstube in early March and your videos quickly became one of my favorites. How brave you are for sharing your story. Psalm 63:1 says “Hear my cry O Lord attend to my prayer. When my heart is overwhelmed lead me to the Rock that is higher than I.” This verse helped me through a tough time and I always share it with others. It’s gonna be okay-facing our giants is personal and hard. Sharing your journey will help someone else while giving you strength to face each day. This community is so kind and gracious-I will certainly be praying for you each day. I love seeing all your stitchings and am inspired by your love of your crafts.
Oh, Arttie, thank you so much for your brutal honesty, wishing you the best of everything moving forward in your health & recovery. Take a deep breathe & do much more of what makes you happy. Please take care of yourself ❤❤
I like old and crusty…it takes courage to be so vulnerable with us but so necessary to heal and possibly help another who may be struggling.. thank you. ..Cindy from NY
Glad you are feeling a bit better. Day by day. I’m stitching the same Friends & Family banner. It was in my stash from when I was in my 20’s. That was 40+ years ago!❤
I'm so sorry you've struggling so much, my prayers are with you. It's good to see you making your way ahead, though! Just keep doing those things, Arttie. Have a good weekend!🙂
Your Santa’s are great but I really love the one on the grey. Your health comes before anything else. I love to hear that you are going to be doing a utube each week. So glad you are taking life a little easier.
I especially enjoyed your Prairie Schooners. Last summer we went to Shepherd's Bush. I was overwhelmed with the framed crosstitches on their walls. However they were all done on small count fabric. I lamented to the lady that at 81 I'm really not able to do small count. She gave me a piece of the fabric which they use for their Prairie Schooler pillows and a needle. It's going to be my Christmas in July stitch. My prayers are with you.
No need to apologize... we all go thru a "slump" and need downtime once in a while. I love your smalls... we need those quite often for quick gratification. I also love doing adult coloring books with my adult daughters, and most times the grandkids join in the fun! Why did we ever stop coloring...probably to do cross stitch. Stay well...see ya soon :)))
I remember when I was a kid, going to K-Mart and getting a Road Runner coloring book with a box of brand spanking new box of 64 Crayola crayons - the box with the sharpener! I had the best time coloring. Stay blessed, my friend. Take care of yourself. There's no need to apologize - we all love you!
Really great to see you again! Take care of yourself. And good to hear that you are being 'kind' to yourself regarding all that you are busy with and not overdoing it. Hugs from SA!
So happy to hear that you are feeling better as there is nothing worse than be depressed. I love all of your Prairie Schooler Santa's and the stitch cards are cute too. Love the snowman banner. I agree we all need to slow down and be blessed for what we have.
Arttie, you don't need to apologize. Depression is real and can be debilitating as you know. Prayers for continued healing to your mind, body and soul my dear. We are here for you and enjoy any time you check in. Love your stitching and the Santa's are great. Have a great week.
You never have to be embarrassed about your struggles, we all have them. I have a chronic health condition that has pain and I understand. I too have reactions to most medications which has turned into a phobia over taking anything new. Just be yourself, give yourself grace and treat yourself with kindness. Find your joy and your light shines through. Take care and I will look forward to your next video whenever that is.❤
Thank you for sharing, no apologies needed. On a different note, I drink ginger tea or lemon ginger tea to help with inflammation. Looking forward to your next Flosstube.
It wasn’t necessary for you to explain anything. However, I think there are viewers out there that won’t feel so alone if they are going through what you have. Without going into a long story I suffered bad depression many years ago. With support of family, friends and finally antidepressants I got through it. So hearing your story reminds me of mine and how your story would have helped me if I was in that place today. Thanks for sharing. I like the variegation in the Santas. I think I like the way the variegation looks in the second Santa better as I like the hombre look. Small Town Needle Works five Christmas patterns are so cute. I’ve wanted those since they came out. Maybe I’ll join in your SAL. Kim and Jade are the best. I’m glad you are back and am looking forward to future FlossTubes.
Artie! So good to see you. Believe me. I can totally relate. Regardless no one should be mean to you online and it does hurt when that happens. Looking forward to your future videos.
Great to see you! I am sorry for what you went through. Everyone has something and your not alone. Your stitching was awesome. Love the Prairie Schooler Santas. Thank you.
What a hard time for you. I'm glad you're starting to feel better. I understand what you mean about the back stitching lines on the patterns being distracting. I feel that one designer, on a pattern I did a while ago was very smart because she had two patterns--one with the outlining and one without. Sometimes those lines make it hard to see what the symbols underneath are. I'm glad she did that.
I am so sorry about the struggles you have been dealing with. I am grateful that you are feeling better and doing better. Always happy to see videos from you.
Everyone has good and bad days. I’m working on a Dimentions stocking for my granddaughter and it is driving me crazy! You are right the backstitching is insane and the color changes are intense.
Your honesty has been the reason I have watched you for so long. And the sharing of the everyday struggles you've always sh a ted though no real details. Since I began following you, my husband has bee diagnosed with a brain cyst from his rebirth, had brain surgery, a shunt, and more. I acquired Encephalitis, an inoperable brain tumor, and the final icing was hubby being diagnosed with Parkinsons. Lost my beloved Huge kitty Schnitzel. Income for me dropped to about 500. per month but I've been good, You have been there. The hit IMHO I've had difficulty with is Patreon. I understand that too is an income for you. I've always had items in shops, Farmer's Markets, and word of mouth to supplement income. Now I'm hubby's chauffer and care provider, NOT my happy place right now but it's fine. I'm pleased to see you back, so saddened by the loss of your adorable Princess love, Prayers things continue to improve. THANK YOU for honesty, sharing, inspiration and so SO much more..❤❤
I am so happy to see you back!! ♥️ it takes a long time to recover from a bout of depression. I’ve been there! I like that you are taking things slowly. Hope you can just relax!
No explanation or apologies needed, but thank you for sharing and being vulnerable. I have experienced planter fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis ( experienced at different times and each for over a year of pain), so I understand the mental toll feet pain takes. When it comes to the YT channel remember to put the oxygen mask on yourself first. My prayers and hugs to you for all that you shared. I also love coloring. I have quite a few books and I take some camping with me. Sometimes I just sit at the camp table and color. It is very relaxing and almost mindless. Have a fun time with your granddaughter this summer coloring.
Oh, Arttie. I wish I could reach through the video and give you a hug. I struggle with anxiety and depression too. You are not alone. Medications definately can be person specific. (I worked in the pharmacy for 20 years) anything that has the possibility of being a depressant I am sensitive to, also. Best wishes for finding a solution!
My heart goes out to you Artie. I know about foot pain. I suffer from neuropathy in my feet and have for around 30 years. they use to have a burning feeling to them but with the right med they don't do that anymore. They feel like they have been sleeping and are waking up. I have to wear socks all the time. Did I mention I hate wearing socks in the summer but I can get some relief from my feet if I do wear socks. My husband use to give the best foot massages but I lost him in 2021. In 2011 I had about a year of being sick for most of the year. I had an anxiety of just thinking i had to leave my house and go someplace. I finally got on a med that helped so much. I no longer have that feeling. Now I have what sounds like crickets in my ears. I know the medical term but can't think of it. i know it's not in my ears but in my brain but it sounds like millions of crickets in my ears. Some days aren't so bad but other days the sound is terrible and so loud. I pray you will continue to feel better and enjoy your life and your husband. Treasure him for it's really sad without him. The pain doesn't seem to get any better with time either.
Your upset video was the first one I saw of you, I know how mean the internet can be and I thought some people can’t handle this and then I saw several videos and it was the same by other RUclipsrs too I just thought it was seasonal affective disorder it was that time of year. It’s ok I’m looking forward to stitching in July with you glad you have a plan . Be well praying for you
I'm so glad that you are feeling better. Thank you for sharing some of your story. I love your stichy projects. ☺️
Hey Artie! I'm so happy you and Mr. Vintage had a great vacation. Sounds like you were productive and also had some great conversation time while covering the miles. Lovely to see you. Yes nice easy videos are lovely. Enjoy a slower summer smell the roses and keep well. Biscorni was lovely. Thank you 🎉🎉😊

The variegated Santa suit is really cute! 🥰
I’m glad you are feeling better, Artie. We all have those challenging seasons, so you aren’t alone. Cross stitching helps me cope. I really like Prairie Schooler Santa’s. I have been wanting to try stitching a couple in non- traditional colors.
I'm so glad to see you're doing better. Depression is a sneaky monster! Take care of yourself, but it is good to see you back!
It was wonderful seeing you again.

I love to color! So relaxing. Enjoy your summer.

So happy to see you. Just take it easy and be well.
Everyone has good and bad days. I’m working on a Dimentions stocking for my granddaughter and it is driving me crazy! You are right the backstitching is insane and the color changes are intense.
No apologies needed! Love your videos. I’ve struggled with depression all my life and you are not alone. Here’s to you feeling better. ❤❤❤
THANK YOU for honesty, sharing, inspiration and so SO much more..❤❤
So happy to see you back😀
I am so happy to see you back!! ♥️ it takes a long time to recover from a bout of depression. I’ve been there! I like that you are taking things slowly. Hope you can just relax!
I have been where you have been. I am glad you are doing better. It can be a long road to recovery. Take care and enjoy your new hobby.
Oh, Arttie, I’m so sorry you’ve gone through all that. I’m sure many of us (me) have been through similar situations. Take care 💕🙏
Best wishes ❤️ ♥️
Glad to see you back. I hope your days are smoother ahead ❤
Thanks for being open about your struggles! I can relate.
I am looking forward to coloring while camping
Hope things get better for you … enjoyed seeing your stitching work … until next time ❤ Dena
Congrats on your improving mental & emotional health. Hope you can find relief for your foot pain.
My heart goes out to you. I am excited about your future journey.
No apologies needed. We all have good and bad days. Just hang in there. Praying the doctors can find relief for your pain.
