Good video here. It seems like a viable option for someone who wants a tablet and computer. Instead of buying/carrying two items, you only need one. Yeah, it's not for everyone, but it does fit for a lot of users.
In its range chuwi never let me down. Good specs for the price. Also the mini pc's like lakbox or herobox are very usable. Like a very affordable server or a light all around pc. Worth the money
That form factor is particularly useful for confined space use - I still have a 10.1" netbook from 2009 which did admirably in confined spaces such as cattle class seating on an aircraft, in a bus, confined seating on trains, etc. It can be effective and useful where even moderately larger machines such as a 13.3" system can't properly open; there are some brands which also have a screen which tilts in such a way that it can float above the keyboard so if you're really confined you can still look down at it but that may be a bit uncomfortable for long durations. I'm curious to know if this was sourced from within the UK or not (or did it have to come from China?).
Hello. I've had mine since yesterday. Very satisfied, UNTIL it is 100% charged and I use the laptop with power. A very annoying sound will then come from the MiniBook. Do you also have this coil whine?
as a techy who loves designing stuffs, i think is a good compact option for a designer too. anyway thanks for bringing those interesting tech gadgets to us Matt !
Hi! It was a very useful review! I'm looking for a small laptop like this for traveling. I would really appreciate it if you can check if it's capable of running the game "Magic: the gathering arena" which supposed to be not heavy. Thanks!
The battery life is just inexcusable for something meant to be ultra-portable. I have a GPD Win Max 2 which is also a 10" device but it has a 67Wh battery and will easily give me 10+ hours of work while also having an exponentially more powerful processor.
@@VaidasJSP the specs of the GPD make it actually useful and able to last a whole day. Paying more for a device that will keep up with demands for years and serve the purpose effectively is worth it.
A slightly larger device with better battery would have made this so much better in my opinion. Still it is not bad for something small and relatively inexpensive but so close to being a really neat device.
@@MattRobb I think a lot of people would take a larger device to have the longer battery life but again I can see how a lot of people would be fine with this device as is as well. Either way solid review, I didn't even know N100 laptops were out there.
Just swap the "intel inside" sticker for a real one with the multi-colored holographic sparkling edge trim that's sold online. The one that comes with this screams - low budget
all these tiny laptops are going to be so much more attractive when they all have arm/snapdragon chips in them and all day battery. i hate that almost all non mac laptops need to drag battery bank with me to feel secure to get all day battery.
Chuwi's other two-in-one notebook Freebook has better configuration and processing power than this one, and the screen is also larger than this one, which is 13.5''. I recommend the other one more.
I've been on the fence about this laptop, but I feel that you actually get who this laptop is for. Thank you.
this is actially a really decent recommendation for people on a budget
Would love to see this running Fedora Workstation 41 or any modern Linux like that.

imagine this with the snapdragon cpus....

change the sensibility of the trackpad and it is big enough..

Samsung/Apple needs to drop something compact like this! I would definitely grab one of each 😂😂 it would be 🔥 IMO
Awesome, where can i bought like that one
Did you put 19% Sales Tax in the US Price?
Tax varies per state I just gave the prices on the website
If we run Zoom on it, can we use virtual backgrounds?
I was able to dock mine and run two 4k displays at 60hz
why some version has narrow bezzle and others at big bezzle...if i want narrow what model will i buy?
There is a older version with a slightly larger screen (with a hole for the camera) and a slower processor
If you buy the N100 model it should have the thin bezels
I've not used my laptop since getting my Z Fold 4! It's quite powerful really and a bit wasted.
True but dude that phone is much more expensive than this little laptop and it’s pretty capable for people on a tight budget
@@MattRobb I'm not dissing you it's just a comment
I know you’re not man I get what you’re saying

I've been calling these the current day eee pc lol just a netbook.
how is it 4 months later?
мне нужен макбук в таком форм факторе!!!
nice review
I would ditch windows and install android right away
Most important: Does it run Linux?
It most likely can, the question would be more, is it well supported ?
@@wolfwoof2000 Supported? Huh?
@@orcaflotta7867 yeah like, is there all the drivers on it
ware you from

that's not budget
Ya , rather get a think pad lol
Considering you can get the same computer in mini pc form for 130-150£ a display and a battery is the only addition in cost. It could be even less.

Yeah it could be better ngl but it is really small
But for the price you could buy 3 or 4 minibook x computers while only one gpd

It’s also inexcusable for anything less than 60hz. It runs on 50hz which will cause judder for everything you watch!
thats why Intel is now building Hybrid Chiplet Design, just wait for the 14th Gen N Series processor

Yeah true but the whole purpose in my eyes is to be small and portable so adding extra battery would maybe ruin that aspect

🤣
Removing that sticker will be the first thing I do when my unit arrives.
@hafenauer does it make it go faster? 🤣

Thanks Paul 🙏🏻
