    So in both Power S06E10 and S06E15 Tariq gets upset with Ghost about turning himself in and confessing about killing Ray Ray because his dad promises to take the rap for him. My problem with Tariq is at the end of S06E09 he told Ghost “He may have given him life but he was never his f..king father” now he wants Ghost to still take the rap for his ass after what he said to him last night at the club, Tariq get the f..k outta here

      Mostly everything Ghost said was true and Tariq did need to hear it this is true he needed to know and understand how his actions caused a lot of wild and crazy domino affects and suffering the consequences is how people truly redeem themselves however... the way Ghost went about getting his stubborn emotionally and scorned son to understand his point was extreme added with it being verbally and physically abusive and that's why their strained and toxic relationship ended in a tragedy because Ghost made his son feel threatened and In danger if he didn't obey his father's orders and as a father/parent that's when you take controlling yo child's fear of you to obey you too far ... now Tariq was no saint but he was really shookt up by his father almost beating him and his words/threat and though Ghost was intoxicated he still did and said too much too a boy who was already too emotionally unstable (with him only) and it would be Ghost's last and worse mistake to make overall the lesson behind it is no child or teen no matter how wild or out of control should ever fear they parent to the point of death that's scary dysfunctional and insane and that is also why Ghost is gone... as a parent you don't physically hurt or threaten yo kids you teach them and guide them even through they're mistakes they still need they parents support not berates insults and verbal and physical abuse Ghost continued to go about things involving Tariq the wrong way and In the end it was nothing he could have done or said to change or fix anything because he realized the emotional damage his years of physical actions and words caused when it was too late and that's what's make it so heartbreakingly sad.

      Yea Ghost was tired of his stubborn son and he also didn't understand where his son was coming from at all yes he was wilding out but it was a reason that Ghost refused to acknowledge because he would have had to own up to his 10 years betrayal to Kanan that made Tariq a target in the first place now had he just killed Kanan instead of sending him to jail Tariq wouldn't of became Ghost Jr and a lot of deaths wouldn't of happened such as Shawn Raina and even Ghost himself because ghost Kanan manipulated Tariq into bubble popping him.

      Exactly, he’s acting as if ghost if the one turning him in. If he didn’t turn himself in and the police find out on their own it would’ve been too late and he wouldn’t get any kind of deal. And ghost turning himself in means a RICO case so Tommy, Tasha, and everyone else also goes to jail or gets the needle.

Ghost's threat changed everything and shifted Tariq more especially after almost getting beat by him Tariq knew he stood no chance against his father physically at all.

    Tariq fails to realize one major thing when they examine the death of ray ray they found Tariq’s DNA at the crime scene so even if ghost wanted to take the rap how could he. Not to mention I wouldn’t take the rap for tariq either especially because leading up to each episode tariq was talking recklessly to ghost saying he was never his father and trying to blame his dad for Raina’s death saying maybe if she hated him she would still be alive and also ghost was right if he take the blame for it they all go down and this time they definitely would have given him the death penalty

    As much I like this scene with Ghost and Tariq in the hotel room from Tariq’s POV I honestly think this version of that scene didn’t really happen and the reason I say that because if this was the true perspective and Ghost was drunk during that whole conversation with Tariq there’s no way later at the party at Club Truth that Ghost is going to be back to his normal self on that same day because when your drunk don’t you have to wait till the next day to be fully clear and not have alcohol in your system?
    - So Ghost’s POV from 6x10 in that scene has to be the real and true perspective

    • @LoneWolf-mh6cw

      ik I'm 2y late but I agree with this for a whole nother reason aswell. In Ghost pov, after Ghost tells tariq the story of breeze, he starts to rant about tariq turning himself in again and tariq kinda gives him this blank stare while that ominous music is playing in the background. I think during that blank stare tariqs subconscious either sabotaged, fabricated (or both) This exact scenario that we see in his pov. Ghost the drunk and Ghost threatning him so that he has a clear reason to take his own father out. Everyone's perspective when it came to Ghost was exaggerated. even dre walking out ghosts office like he was in complete controll of the situation meanwhile we all know Ghost completely sons dre and he can't handle walking away from something like that. i believe Ghost perspective was the realist one

    Ghost did try to keep Tariq away from the life he might not escape from. But ghost should’ve took time to understand who tariq is becoming. Instead Tariq forced ghost hand several times. Ghost proved time and time again he’s stayed steps ahead of everyone from the streets to business to politics. I’m hoping Tariq understands this in book 2

  • @joefletcher118
    @joefletcher118 5 месяцев назад +2

    People talkin about how if ghost didn’t leave for Angela Tariq wouldn’t have turned out like this. Tariq was privileged and well taken care of, they would’ve shared custody if he hadn’t taken a gun out of Angela’s bag and got caught with it at school. If ghost hadn’t been with Angela, they all could’ve ended up in jail because he wouldn’t have any inside information on their case. Everytime Tariq got caught up because of his own stupidity someone else had to bail him out. And his solution of shooing his father still means that the police would arrest him for killing Ray Ray because they already had his DNA, the bullet from Tasha’s gun, and evidence that Angela deleted the records.
