In my short sixteen years of life, I have never known the horrors of war. To the great and honorable men and women who made that possible, I thank you all. Every breath I have ever taken was as a free man, and that was only possible by the deaths of many who served our country. Seriously everyone in the Armed Forces I thank you all, thank you for letting me live in the home of the brave.
@WCGE You were apparently raised well. Refreshing to see a young person as yourself showing respect and gratitude for those that went ahead of you. Your comment should have tons more likes.
@@616imhotepI agree with you. Especially as a young man of the same age actually. It feels good to know that not all of my peers have turned to the abomination of the woke agenda.
We had to learn all of these, except space force of course, in middle school choir. I remember the Air force song being my favorite. One of the reasons being the "off with one terrible roar" part.
It’s the right song, the name just changed… caisssons song was used prior to 1951 when the lyrics changed. The beat and music still stayed the same however. If you really wanted to search it up the original song was the field artillery march before it became the caissons go rolling along then the army goes rolling along.
The 4th of July will be the twelth anniversary of our dad's passing. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1942 and fought in the south Pacific. He never spoke of his experience because it was too traumatic saying the only heroes of war were those who never came home.

It's amazing that when somebody tells their families history of service for their country that others take it upon themselve to demand the person prove their own achievements. Just let people celebrate their families service in peace (and before anyone asks I'm going to join the RN once I meet requirements)
@@greg-qc4iy Leave it to the American to make everything about themselves. What are we suppose to do with these information, thank him for his family service?
I can’t wait for someone to make the space force anthem fit in with the rest of the melody more perhaps the official melody will become more extended because it sounds like one continuous song up until the space force
I am a former U. S. Army Musician. This video is incorrect. The "Casson Song" is not the Army song and never has been. The "Army Song" came into use in 1952. Secretary of the Army Wilber Marion Brucker officially dedicated the song on Veterans Day, November 11, 1956. Here it is with the correct words. ruclips.net/video/8cvljfwAyXQ/видео.html BTW- Songs are in incorrect order. Regulations require the songs to be played according to the birth date of that branch. The U.S. didn't have a Navy in the Revolutionary War. We used civilian vessels with Marines on them.
You got the lyrics wrong to Anchors Aweigh. According to the Naval Academy these are the official lyrics: Anchors Aweigh, my boys, Anchors Aweigh. Farewell to foreign shores, We sail at break of day-ay-ay-ay. Through our last night ashore, Drink to the foam, Until we meet once more. Here's wishing you a happy voyage home. And these are the official lyrics to The US Air Force Song: Off we go into the wild blue yonder, Climbing high into the sun; Here they come zooming to meet our thunder, At ‘em now, Give 'em the gun! Down we dive, spouting our flame from under, Off with one helluva roar! We live in fame or go down in flame. Hey! Nothing'll stop the U.S. Air Force!
