I strongly worry for his longevity tho because one thing about guys who take damage is when that chin goes their true defence gets tested and it gets scary 😨
i think pantoja is one of the most skilled guys i mean his grappling is second to none in his division, his striking leaves a lot to be desired but his ability to get guys to the ground and submit, GNP, or just not let them up is unrivaled at flyweight
Absolutely wrong. Go look at his resume. After 1-2 more defense he has a strong case at being the best ever in his division. Yeah he’s a dog but you don’t reach levels of greatness like this by only being tough. What a casual take and you should never talk MMA after saying such a dumb comment.
How is Pantoja not “the most skilled”? He’s definitely not the best on the feet but you have to be extremely skilled to be laking in the striking and be in the position where half the top 15 is trying to get their rematch back.
Yeah guys like this are tough, but by 45 they can't hold a job, a cup or a conversation. Forever damage is real. I love mma, but learn to fight without taking so much punishment.
@Rammsteinfanboy2 this is very true. Great point. I just stuck to wrestling and judo. When I attempted to spar after learning boxing basics my head felt so fuzzy for 24 hours each time. I decided to leave it to the pros. These guys are beast!!!
@@Rammsteinfanboy2 it depends. decision fighters are mostly boring but fighters with good reflexes, dodges and counterstrikes are a beautiful sight to see (prime anderson silva's striking game is the first that comes to mind)
This bruh: pantoja isn't the most skilled fighter Brother he would choke you out in a matter of seconds and you wouldn't be able to do absolutley nothing 😂
Well ofc he means relative to other elite fighters. Pantoja is skilled on the ground but he relies a lot on toughness. He’s definitely not the most skilled flyweight champion we have had.
@@Shootahobo-z8 doesnt matter, it made the title look like a joke, a guy can just win 2 fights and get a title shot What's the point of the belt anymore, if the best isnt fighting the best? Sorry, but steve erceg is a fraud, and everyone treated him like a god for a few months before kai shut all of that up
@ fraud is crazy when he was a round away from beating the champ and loses against the most dangerous ko artist in the division, no one else was open to a title shot cause it would’ve been more rematches with the same guys or an exciting up and comer who is on a ko streak. It was a great fight and Steve showed he belongs in the top of the division. You can just say you hate the dude don’t have to make some bs up
All he needs to do is take Kai down, and it's over.
@@KijamiijYa he throws knees and kicked to downed opponents it's over for kai
Bingo
His chin has stood up to the task so far but lets see how much longer it can hold up
Kai used to fight in bantamweight so he wouldn’t have the same power at flyweight
Bantamweight in rizin is the same as fly weight. Many rizin bantamweights go to fly weight in ufc.
@@dat_berserk_gamer445__7 that’s not true, bantamweight in Rizin is 135, the same as UFC
@@getmine9490 the bantamweights are smaller in rizin they dont cut much. The ufc bantamweights cut to be 135.
@@getmine9490they don't cut weight in rizin like they do in UFC. Bantamweight in rizin will be flyweight in UFC.

if he keeps taking damage like that he’s going to be crippled

I just came from a video of him breaking lol

Pantoja is great on the feet as well.

Fans don't like styles like that unfortunately

thats true, and if you think about it people only point out a fighters chin if they get hit a lot, which is a terrible sign

@redlizerad8268 i mean every single champion had his own weakness, Pantoja is the Champion and that means he's the most skilled of his divison
And newwwe
Isn’t the most skilled fight when you look like a fat Joshua van 😂
He even beat the current Lightweight champ.
Erceg won
Steve carell getting a title shot still pisses me off
