Adam: "If Dom or Ken win this they take the game, we have to stop them!" Laurie & Tilly: "Kinda feel like a bit of a walk right now..." *whistle off into the sunset*
I’d love to see them play King’s Dilemma but that’d take a lot of preparation and multiple videos. I don’t believe they’ve done it yet but especially with Dom and Sully acting as King, comedy gold in the making
I’ve asked about them doing a legacy game and Laurie responded saying that it would take multiple videos and that means that the part 2 or even part 3 videos will always get less views then the part 1. He said maybe a Patreon exclusive might be in the works.
yup, totally agree with u.. Condottiere is not hard to explain to a newbie, not to many cards abilities and complexity, but totally fun on strategy and intrique..
I think I saw two minor rule oibleons/forgettions. When you give everyone a fresh hand of 10 cards you get an extra card for every region you control. And also you have to shuffle all of the discarded cards together with the undealt cards when giving new hands of cards, I think Adam started giving people from the undealt deck of cards.
Funny as Adam was explaining the rules and mentioned not redrawing, I thought "oh cool, like Gwent then." I thought this many more times the further he went into the rules 😂
Dom (whose army is slapping) adds Tilly's cards together, and makes the joke "that's actually just a high five", which goes completely unnoticed. I hear you Dom, I hear you.
Judging by Sully's hand containing only 10 card you forgot about the rule of your cards being 10 plus one for each owned territory or they changed it with the new edition of Condottiere. I've played with an older version for many years. Back then the spy was called a courtesan and the card designs were more 17th century like with the 5 merc being a musketeer and the 6 being a horseman with pistols as an example. Also a good home rule to this game is limiting the turncoat to only be able to be used when it gives you the win. One of my ex-friends is really good at this game and were usually were able to win with 20 points, scarecrows and 2 bishops so one time in a 5 player game we played the turncoat to give others the win just so my ex-friend couldn't win.
Just re-watched a bunch of earlier episodes - Don't mess with Cthulhu was last - and right into watching this episode. If you have not seen it yet, watch that one. It is so great to see them mess with each other in the second round. Lovely.

Man, my inner insufferable history pedant wants to jump in... Oh, OK then 8:10 It doesn't make sense, Dom, but Bishops were weirdly not an uncommon sight on medieval battlefields: they were present in multiple wars in England, Scotland, Denmark, the Holy Roman Empire, Constantinople, & of course The city states of Italy. That even extended to popes, more than a few of whom personally led armies in battle.
Condottiere is always my favourite game.. its not to complex tokens and cards, but the intrique and strategy is intense.. before this, i play dominion.. but i get frustrated by them adding more and more expansions. for me, its becoming not compact and simple anymore. i think Condottiere, with its compact, still have the MTG and dominion souls in it.. And, i love Maps.. :) God bless u guys, Nice video here :)
Shame to see them play with the new Bishop rules (which in my opinion robs the game of its magic). In the Eurogames edition, the Bishop immediately ends the battle as a tie. This adds so much more tension and jeopardy to the building of armies. The new rules nerf the bishop quite considerably. Spies are also a boring addition to the game which basically tilt the balance of card values in favour of 1s, which for a biding game is deeply uninteresting. My advice, play with the old rules which are meaner, leaner and far more strategic.
I'm super late to the NRB party, but I just wanted to point out that this edition includes two versions of the Bishop card: the new one used here and a classic version. So the rules & components support playing either way! Nice inclusion.
usually i buy board games, and stack it up on shelves.. only to collect and admiring the artwork.. but, when i see the strategy and intrique on this game, oh wow.. stunning!

As soon as Sully said "Don't worry boys, I'll get you all back." I started laughing in disbelief of what was coming
"don't worry boys, I'll get you all back"
Sullyvan is the real hero in this war.....
Some Dunkirk moment

I would love see them playing a legacy game, like Pandemic Legacy season 1
They played it. Hopefully you saw!
This is one of the best bar/brewery games for a small group. Enough strategy to keep it spicy but not complicated so it’s easy to teach.

Reminds me alot of Gwent from the Witcher games.

The main inspiration for Gwent. I've been wanting to watch a playthrough of this for a while, thanks!

I thought it looked like Gwent
I was drawn by how similar the two were, this makes a lot of sense
They stole the game and didn't give the creator credit. They claimed Gwent as their original IP. Disgusting.
@@grog3514 what? they didnt need to give them a credit. I would do the same. The Gwent in Witcher 3 was briliant
I think the most important lesson that I took from today's Board Game Club is that the clergy hates Dom Allen.
Mortal enemies, I hear
If you ask me, the sign of a great game is that you could make the entire game quickly with some scrap paper and a pen drunk if you wanted to.
So glad to have Dom on this episode, the little Napoleon.
44:44 dom looks so happy at the propasal of being a bastard
Dom (whose army is slapping) adds Tilly's cards together, and makes the joke "that's actually just a high five", which goes completely unnoticed. I hear you Dom, I hear you.
As an Italian, I'm leaving a like just for the fun of hearing your pronunciations XD
Thank you for bringing a bit of joy to an otherwise crappy Tuesday.
Great, another game to buy!
yes, its really a good game! its compact, not so much tokens and bla bla bla, but the strategy and intrique is intense..

Tilly casually telling us she needs to go specsavers without saying "I need to go to specsavers."

Laurie shouting at them all in that epp was so funny 😂
Onore e gloria a te, Domenico d"Albione, Principe di Spoleto e Re d'Italia
Grazie, compagno!
It’s my favorite time of the week!!! Let’s Go it’s Board Game Club!!!!!
I'm so happy that Dom won that! Tactical Genius!!!
I love this game and watching you guys play was really fun. Condottiere is really an awesome area majority game
Loving the little references to Mitchell & Webb, LOTR and Father Ted during the game :)
There will be many tales told of the battle of Venezia.
And there shall be much mirth.
Yay, Tilly returned again! I like this group.
Sullivan shall now be named the Dummy Duke, leading an entire army of decoys.
I counted at least 3 different pronunciations of Condottiererererre. They are all different to the 4 I use. I don't think any of them are correct.
Can confirm, but they got the names of some cities right :)
1:13:20 He DID say he was gonna bring 'em all back home.
this fight ... is for one boi! ONE BOI !!!

@@morkmeatshield5373 3 wins in BGC, another 3 wins in BotC, and 5 wins in any other series

I'm very glad there is no one around to overhear the audio of this one and take it out of context
God Sully couldn’t buy a hand in this game.
He did not have the luck in this one for sure
Very entertaining game!! Of course Dom was going to win
Time for some fun on a Tuesday afternoon!
I like the how about you and I divide up Italy Gambit played by 2 players when only 2 players have cards left.
one of my favourite games played by my favourite peoples!
So excited for Libertalia next week
How come the spring at 1:00:03 didn't boost Dom's cards? Is there something I'm missing? They have the same number of mercenaries
"Load your bishops."
**There's a lotta boys out there.**
Fantastic fun to watch you all
YESSSSSS! NO ROLLS BARRED!
Poor Michele...I bet my compatriot is having a stroke right now!! Still, a wonderful video as always.
Anyone know which version of Condottiere this is? I like the card art.
this is from ZMAN games version, on 2018. nowadays Condottiere is all on this new set of artwork and design. i like the artwork so much!
15:57 we heard that ken, don’t hide it, be proud in your tiktok/Dbz abridged references
yes Dom won, even after getting ran over in the beginning
This victory marks the beginning of the Dommunist party!
Where is Jon I haven't seen his meltdown in a while
Oh there are some BIG ones coming, don't you worry!
@@JonGracey69 love you Jon lol
This game looks fun. I'm getting Gwent vibes. But on a bigger scale
you guys should play the 6 player DUNE game from 1978
or the game of thrones game (6 player also)
granted its a long play
i haven't play all of this.. i will try it on.. thanks for the reccomendation!
This game was made for the Dom lolol
Twilight? Blood rage? Concordia? Legendary marvel? Century golem edition? Tyrants of the underdark? :)

Isnt this gsmexlike super out of print with used copies going for hundreds of dollars?
Venice is Venezia
Shouldn't Laurie have chosen the location for the second battle? He didn't win the first battle but he did play a spy.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Got my mate to buy the game (I’m banned on buying games) excited to see it played 👍🏻
Banned on buying games?
Ah yes, tis that time of the week where I enjoy some quality internet shenanigans!
#FriendshipIsMagical
Where can buy this awesome and simple game cheaply ?
The battle of the boys.
31:30 I guess Dom is the pope now🤷♂️✝️
I’ve owned this game for like 6 years and never played it
usually i buy board games, and stack it up on shelves.. only to collect and admiring the artwork.. but, when i see the strategy and intrique on this game, oh wow.. stunning!
Good to see Adam is playing yellow
However I don’t believe it’s yellow here
It’s aureo
Dom, he is inevitable
Right on time
Show should be called no HOLES barred
I would love a spirit island playthrough
So it is basically Gwent? Which came first? This I assume.
Didnt you miss the cleanup/reset step? Am I missing something?
Ken is kinda cracked at every game tho
EDIT: except for that last winter play nooooooo
More Boys than a Dalton Castle match
So its a watered down version of Gwent?
Rest in boys
This was a great game to watch, but think of the poor boys :(
Please bring Tom back. 😔
Yes!
Can you guys play scyte eventually? I would like to see how the game works exactly and if it looks fun i might buy it for myself.
Scythe is interesting but it's not fun. Would not be fun to watch it.
@@arandombard1197 scythe is game that punishes you for playing scythe.
Take a shot every time they say boys. No don’t I’m not responsible.
This game reminds me a bit of Gwent from the Witcher games.
1:13:14
Winter and Spring are seasons?!
Well yes, what would you call them?
I think this predates the Game Of Thrones game, but listening to the description it made me think that it was a streamlined version of it
"Do this to the man I love" at 51:40 - are Ken and Tilly another NRB couple?
Was Gwint inspired by this, the other way around or they did this independently?)
7:17 they really just said the last name of Italian fascist dictator "Mussolini" 😳
it feels like Gwent in Witcher games...
GWENT!!
The Courtesan was too sexy for a US publisher?
~ smiles ~
No, Adam, please never try an opening in Italian again. It hurts. Mioddio le orecchie sanguinano. Just ask Michele for a translation. Lol
vabbé dai non é andato troppo male, su alcune pronunce ci é andato vicino, ha sicuramente sentito la lingua da qualcuno che appunto é madrelingua
Care for around of GWENT!!!
“The heroin(e) is worth 10 points”
Love the episodes with Tilly, she is so gorgeous; she reminds me of Diana Rigg.
now you should all play gwent
who here remembers PhenomaNerds? no way i spelled that right
Derp
the drummer seems to be too overpowered considering there's no way to remove it and is essentially just a gigantic card
I love how Adam was like “F-word this! I’m not running!” Against Andy. 😂
U on the wrong channel m8
oh shid, i love this game. it's like a proto-Gwent
that was my first thought when hearing the rules. Seems good fun.
Gwent is a shameful rip off of this game. They just ditched the board.
@@grog3514 gwent did add the ranks though. I thought it added a layer of strategy.
@@veggieh8r the core game is the same though. What they did was wrong.
