    I work in the office for Tallulah Gorge Campground I want to Thank You for such a great review all of our campground Host work hard to keep the campground clean and well maintained. All of our campsites have 50 & 30 amps along with a 110 outlet. We are open year round. Winter is a wonderful time to come visit us we have mild temps. At the Day Use area we have a beach at our lake this past winter we installed a ramp into the water so that people that use a wheelchair will be able to gain access to the water while still in their wheelchair.

    We are considering heading to Tallulah Gorge in Early march to give the kids a break from distance learning. Is there enough to do there and in the surrounding area for a week in March. Also what is the temperature there in early march?

    • @WanderingWeekends
      @WanderingWeekends  3 года назад

      It’ll still be a bit chilly in March. A few days of activities within the park and plenty of opportunities within an hours drive. Mostly outdoors stuff. Black Rock Mtn, Downtown Clayton, Rabun Bald are a few that come to mind.

      Metro On The Move I’ve been down there before but the kiddos are a bit young for that fun... which means we will be back when they’re older! 🤣

    Beautiful spot. (Thanks for the map!) Georgia State campgrounds seem a bit pricy. Texas State parks are never more than $25 with elec. and water. Most have showers and some even have individual sewer. We have found most in New Mexico are even cheaper. Even out-of-staters with no discount usually pay between $14 and $20. This also keeps the little private RV parks honest with no more than $25 to $30 with additional laundry facilities. Enjoyed the review.

      Richard Givens makes sense. More real estate available out west. Haha.

    Love your campground reviews. I just discovered Georgia State Parks this year and they rank right up there with Florida State Parks. Have you reviewed Vogel or FDRoosevelt? We camped both earlier this summer and loved them.
