I really like this Side Burn, even though as you mentioned, the clear plastic hinges and ball sockets are fragile. The roof's balljoint is cracked on mine, so even though it holds just fine, I don't really want to push it too far and risk losing half of the car in the process.
0:58 They do look cool in those colors. I have those figures in the original decos. I always thought they looked cooler in their original paint jobs, even before I got my hands on them. After seeing your shot of their powerboost decos, I kinda regret being picky. But I'm super glad I got them, Ultra Magnus, and Optimus. The 2001 R.I.D. figures are underrated.
i still have a soft spot for this specific version of the toy, due to it being one of my first 2 ever transformers toys, the other being the tiny tins release of w.a.r.s. that said, as much as i like him, that clear plastic use terrifies me, it's partially why i'm happy the legacy version exists, so i have a version of the character i'm not terrified of transforming.
After getting Legacy Evolution Shadowstriker and feeling it probably won't do as a future Side Burn retool, I got the original version and like it for the most part

it's interesting that the later Universe redeco is cast in the same plastic colors as this version, with different paint

I own the original blue Side Burn. I keep him in robot mode at all times since transforming him is a bit tedious/frustrating

Won't do? They already made that
@@HerohammerStudios won't do as in "it won't work well for me", never said it would never get made
Kind of a downer that the English dub premiered on Fox Kids in the US 3 days before the 9/11 fiasco.
I take you don't have the original versions of the Autobot Brothers?
Runestone are you G.I. Joe fan?
