Approach and Landing on runway 30 Dauphin Island (4R9)

While on vacation in Gulf Shores, I rented and airplane and found a CFI to do some flying with. Always wanted to visit Dauphin Island so we did a quick touch-n-go. I sort of 'plopped" the plane down on landing. Had a small audience on the left side of the strip on final. Warrior 8410C out of Jack Edwards (KJKA) in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Planning on using 4r9 for one of my stops on my xc. Any tips?

Land during the daytime if possible! Lol. And don’t use that clapped out plane I used.
