Yo man I noticed you’re e- break cable broke and was making the screeching sound. I just got the bootmod3 tune as well on my 4 series and mine broke 2-3 weeks after tune install. Maybe the tune breaks this?
E brake cable didn’t break it was just the clip that holds it in place. I ended up using zip ties to tie it to the clip. And also it was after my downpipe install not the tune.
I really like how this lip looks, but anyone who gets lip of similar design be aware of your driving speed, mine broke middle part away at around 180km/h. Later I checked that it spec said it was safe till 140 km/h. Not hating just check specs and top speeds of these things before hand. Looks great thou!
@@Metoy3r The OEM install instructions have a metal plate that adds like a huge washer on the inside of the bumper, so the screws don't have to hold onto the bumper that is 2.5mm thick with about 1.5 thread of the screw, cause that's just not enough. I'm instelling my lip next month, what I'm gonna do is: bolt -> washer -> splitter -> bumper -> washer -> locking nut + loctite. That way there'll be 0 play in the construction, and vibration won't shake anything loose, nor will pressure on the lip pull the screws out, it's basically the OEM+ way of installing it, perhaps a bit overkill, but I'm not willing to lose a lip on the highway haha
Probably a lot of extra steps but it for sure won’t go anywhere haha. I’ve had about 4 different lips and a lot of self tapping screws was sufficient at highway speeds
@@Metoy3r yeah it'll be a bit of a job haha, but I dont want to take any risks. Buddy of mine is a bmw mechanic and he says this is how they do it. Ill report back with good news in a couple of months hopefully haha
Do you recommend the 1 - 1/2 inch self tapping screws for the middle and the 1 inch hex screws for the sides did you find that it wasn't enough to hold up?
Yeah man it did have issues staying in. What I ended up doing is getting longer screws. Honestly the lip I installed on mine is very cheap and flimsy material so it’s prone to wobble in the wind. My advice, get longer screws and place more of them. Or maybe look into a sturdier lip
@@Metoy3r so I've had 3 of these lips on my car so far and every time I go above 100mph It ends up breaking off from the middle. Ive used bolts, JB weld...
@@Metoy3r I feel alot better now knowing I'm not the only one. So currently its in my garage, broken in the center. How did you fix that issue? Or did you get a different brand
I lived in Arkansas where a front license plate was not required so I could put one on there. Some states require a plate on front and back in which case you wouldn’t be able to
Have the exact same lip on my f32, agreed it adds a lot to the look of the car for a relatively cheep mod. Good vid, subscribed!
Is your bumper the stock or m sport? A lot of lips I see on eBay are for the m sport bumper. Oh and that custom euro plate website was on point!
My bumper was m sport. There aren’t too many lips for the base bumper
@@Metoy3r you know where i could find a lip for a base bumper? Been looking forever
I’ve heard they sell some on eBay but they are very hard to find

Sorry man, still was learning to edit at this point haha
Looks sick man! great addition to an already awesome build!
Thank you so much
I got the same lip but mine didn’t even come with the right screws at all.
Do you mind telling me what you all use? And size please
I had to go buy 1.5 inch self tapping screws from Home Depot for the middle part of the lip

Lots of self tapping screws my friend. 😂
@@Metoy3r with only 2 screws holding middle part, German autobahn says bb :D

The 1 inch hex for the sides was fine but the 1-1/2 in screw for the middle didn’t hold up to well. I’d go bigger if possible
@@Metoy3r amazing appreciate it, I’m gonna be installing one this weekend

Hey man have you ever gotten a drivetrain malfunction before?
No I haven’t
Will this fit on my bmw 2016 428i grand coupe ?
Yes
you have an m sport front bumper, right?
Yes, it’s m sport
So glad I sold my BMW , I have ptsd from the notification sound on the dash!,,,,
Does it bend how’s the quality?
It does bend. I would say quality is a 6, maybe 7/10. It does bend pretty easy toward the middle

I actually no longer have the 428i but when I did have it I tried some longer tapping screws and it held up until I sold it
heat as always.
looks slick bro.
Thank you!
🤩🤩🤩 Now I really can’t drive it smhhh
Where to buy?
eBay the link is in the description
looks aggressive bro!
Dope 😎
$170 and 1500 shipping. Seller increased it, that's dumb
That is really dumb but luckily these lips are everywhere online
@@Metoy3r yeah I saw, thank you Antonio.
