I've always ignored Demco products..my attention is on the usual bigger, famous, knife companies...but they seem to be pretty cool knives...i gotta check them out ASAP , or at least learn more...your vid helps. Thanks
Hey man, I watch your channel all the time. I just realize when you were talking that you live in Bellingham, which is 30 minutes or so north of me and (MARYSVILLE )you have a lot of cool knives and I’m very envious . Where do you get the ability to purchase all these things always made me very curious, are you a part of any knife groups in the Pacific Northwest? Would love to join. You show a lot of brown knives from Blaine do they have storefront to visit? Would be insane if you met and showed the maker with brown knives.
@@ryannies1818 cool to see a local! No store front at Brown Knives. Feel free to DM me on IG. I mostly buy on Reddit and Facebook. I used to spend time on Bladeforums a lot when I was hunting too.
My 1st Demkos are on the way via DLTs BOGO - 3V Tanto and 10A Sharkfoot. Really interested in the smoked ultem Sharkcubs, especially the Slicer and Sharkfoot blades. Thanks!
I’m liking that blade stock thickness. My only complaint about my Demkos is their ridiculous thickness behind the edge, etc. It makes them good for more substantial work but for everyday stuff like cardboard, it’s just not ideal. That’s why I typically prefer 3v in these models. If you’re going all in with the heavier use, the steel might as well serve that function…and 3v is perfect for that. Good balance with nice edge stability and stupid “sharpenability” to offset the thickness.
Man, Demko sure made a killing off me with the shark lock designs. Not complaining because I love the knives but they’re priced at the peak of what I’m comfortable paying. Luckily his designs are extremely durable. Just added the ultem slicer 20.5, arcade, & this to my collection within a month or 2 smh. The addiction is strong
I unfortunately have an addictive personality… with that being said I splurge order $1300 worth of knives in the past five days😂 I saw the Protech whisker in rose gold and had to have it. Along with a hand full of Otf. But I hear ya when you said comfortable price range
@@experienceprecision5406 I'm glad they got rid of the thumb slot/hole. Personally, I could do without the studs too since it's basically a gravity knife anyway. I'm thinking full flat grind with only a wave
Wow I wasn't expecting the super thin blade stock after seeing this video I looked it up at blade HQ and it said 0.09, did they do a good behind the edge thickness?
@@pocketprioritiesthat's good enough for me lol, I was also just curious on the aluminum one did they mill the scales or are they just solid slabs? Sorry if you mentioned it in the video, I may have just missed it! Thanks!
It's solid aluminum, sorry missed that in this unboxing and got it in my 24 hr review video! Same with G10, slab with a minimal liner where the shark lock is like the AD20S.
Oh wow they made it even smaller😂. The Ad20.5 was small enough. But they actually made it smaller😂😂. Instead of making the Ad20 that everyone wanted available. Crazy! But isn't this shark cub thingy a 3 finger knife for everyone other then the boy scouts??😂 Don't tell me the blade is even thinner then on the ad20😂. Amazing. Now you really don't need a strong locking mechanisme anymore with such a thin and fragil blade that breaks easily. I'm just shocked. And Demko was designing all these big Cold Steel knives. Wow true blasphemy. Seems the man (AD) had an accident between his legs and lost some important parts.
Aw, boo hoo. Can you show me on the doll where the bad knife maker hurt you? In order to sell more product makers have to design knives that appeal to more than one demographic, not just the mall ninjas who feel like they “need” a sharpened pry bar that fills every inch of space in the pocket of their 5.11 cargo pants to make them feel better about themselves. Some people just want a practical everyday cutting tool that actually cuts. I’m sure he’ll make more designs in the future that will soothe your fragile little ego.

Thank you for the look brother! I hope that I can get my hands on a demko someday.

was waiting for a smaller demko but the handle is too long. want a mini demko the size of a kershaw ember
Just ordered on.. think it’s going to be a great edc user.. I got the 20cv aluminum sharks foot.. I do wish it had studs tho

i love that velvety matte finish...

Nice!
Thanks for sharing . Have a great day
So awesome. But I think it might be too thin for me 😂. The Ti 20.5 is about as thin as I like to go in a knife. That little sharksfoot is rad though.
I wish I got the g10 version aluminum is a bit slick

Good call out!
Ad20 does great against cardboard
This is my first demko.
I got the aluminum version.
Would you say the g10 version is grippy'er ? Compared to aluminum?
Yeah, I really like the g10.
@pocketpriorities dang! I got the aluminum slicer and I like it but seems slick for spydie flick.
I guess I'll have to get the g10sharkfoot.

haha same, yeah i think all their knives will last a life time.

Glad they used these materials. I’d rather pay a bit more and get aluminum/20cv
If they make a shark lock with a wave opener then I'm sold
Lol imagine. If you can't open the knife with all that in it I don't know what to tell yah! That would be cool
@@experienceprecision5406 I'm glad they got rid of the thumb slot/hole. Personally, I could do without the studs too since it's basically a gravity knife anyway. I'm thinking full flat grind with only a wave
Little guy looks strange without the hole. But I think I need one!

Well I guess it depends on your definition of good behind the edge, i like it?

Is the pivot flush with the scale? My 20.5 3v carbon fiber the pivots are slightly raised above the scales.
Show side is basically flush, clip side is very slightly raised yes.
I'm praying for a full size production AD20 ❤
If you want a full flat grind in textured titanium at table price shoot me an IG or email, same name at gmail.
Haha I was hoping that they make an Ad20 in Taiwan. Thanks for the offer man, that's really nice of you, if it was in my budget I'd jump on it!
What is the price on the G10 models? Did I miss that?
I think 190? 200 alum, 225 ultem, and 250 Ti? should be posted at KC, WMK, etc shortly as well as the Demko site (my link is in the description).
Is the aluminum solid or over steel liners?
It's solid aluminum, sorry missed that in this unboxing and got it in my 24 hr review video! Same with G10, slab with a minimal liner where the shark lock is like the AD20S.
The booie blade with a slot would kill. Action really don't look the best. But still a great buy 👍
Doesn’t look the best - compared to what? 😅
@@CenaOfJohns Good action
Medium size blades XXL length handles.
Strider? :)
DLT has the full ti
👍🏻
Does the extra thinness make it less comfortable than the 20.5?
A tad yes, it's approx 10% thinner on the handle, I notice it more on the shark lock than anything.
You read my mind. That's what I meant to ask. Lol. About the shark lock itself being thinner.
Baby shark! They missed out on that name
lol!
Less material more money all right demco milking it😅

Haha, more big knives are coming next ;)
But I bet it has great personality
Well not everyone lives in states where they can carry big knives.
