there is a book called "Rockin Bass Drum" that helped me vary my bass rhythms so they weren't repetitive ....the same pattern over & over just small differences. it helped me realize what my weaknesses were and opened doors to new possibilities. I'm greatefull to have discovered it. Perhaps it may be of value to anyone interested in improving their performance
