Thank you for the tutorial. i have one question. Do you need to sysprep the machines before converting it to a template? I watched your other video on creating vm customization and wondered if i need to syspred the vm after applying patches and applications.

You dont need to sysprep the vm before converting to template.
.
Even during vm deployment, You can use customisation specifications. If you have more setings to custmoize, you can use sysprep file in customization specification and use that cust spec file during vm deployment from template.....

Nope. You must go through the process of suffering through SYSPREP XML configuration testing. The suffering is healthy.
