Loved Joe, very understated I think for such an immense talent. The mold has been broken never to be replaced now he has gone. Why do the best get taken from us? The world is a sadder place without Joe. God bless you ❤️😢
No other artiste reaches the soul like Joe does. 🌹🌹🌹 His love, his humility, his gift network, and the delivery of every word, gives meaning and life to every song. And indeed his tapestry is exquisite, inclusive of all emotion not only in his own renditions, but those of the people he replicated so perfectly. A talent and character second to none. Put very simply "Our Joe". God Bless Him. xxxx
Joe's real talent - was being himself ! At the end of any show, he met his fans, accepted flowers, and remembered so many of them, time, and time again. This is a knack when 'collecting' fans. And YES ! he was a master of his art, of course ! ❤❤❤❤
I saw Joe perform in a small working men’s club near Barnsley in South Yorkshire when I was in my teens during the mid seventies, he was so good looking and sang like an angel, bless his heart, he was indeed a “ top turn” ❤️
Thank you so much for this video. I came to know about Joe around 2 years ago and so sadly rather late. At the same time I found him absolutely captivating. I really appreciate hearing of his life story, so once again thank you!
With the refeence to the Lark in the ast song I remembered while Karen was singing in earlier songs I was reminded of a Lark soaring. Very appropriate.
Dont consider his impersonations just listen to probably one of the most natural singing Male voices the world has ever heard absolutely incredible I defy any one not to agree NOW CONSIDER HIS IMPERSINATIONS Johnny Mathis Tom Jones so on and so on perfect not nearly absolutely spot on that means BRILLIANT UNDERESTIMATED WHY THE MUSIC WORLD FROWNED ON HIS BELIEFS SHAME SHAME ON YOU HE WAS THE BEST
Yes, I'm no expert but must say the description of Karen's singng very much describes my thinking and feeling listening to her singng. I shall look to see if she now has a record available.
This has a strange outcome. If Joe had been a daughter, (presumably with a voice like Bassey), the Longthorne name would still have died out, (unless there are other Longthornes), which there actually are!
Whilst Joe is very good at singing, all of his "impressions" still spied like Joe singing, and doing his OTT power voice.. Even if he does what should be a soft , gentle love song, he has to be totally powerful, super long hold on every note he can.. I'm not being demeaning, just pointing out that on my opinion, almost every song he sings , is very much the same as the previous or next...
never like this sort of act, yes he could impersonate, but it was all a bit Clubland, he should have concentrated on his own voice soley, i think he would have been a bigger Star, Showbiz is unforgiving when you throw comedy and immitations and vocals at them, he should have concentrated on the voice.

Just wonderful - Love you Joe xxxxxxx

He was an absolute genius and a master of his craft, one of the greatest performers to ever walk this planet. R.I.P. xx
Indeed he was!
People could learn so much about humility from Joe's story.

His vocal range and versatility were unique. Watch and listen more closely. You do him an injustice.

I agree its just finding the right song an eg is Tom Jones with its not unusual without that one i dont think he would have been as big as he was
And maybe you should be bricklayer Errol !
