I'm blessed to have the same one too. But dark gray interior & no "loud blue accent." The accent is nice, but I'm lowkey. Lol

Put a V8 or V12 in the back, or at least the inline 6 + electric motor, and it'll be a car that will be revered and loved for the ages.
Philip George Yes but will harm sales of M3 and M4. No one will want those anymore.
Dre Man The potential customers of BMW i8 do not care for or even look at M3 or M4. Those cars are in the entry or midlevel premium-luxury performance category. Buyers of i8 cross-compare with Porsche 911 Turbo/Panamera Turbo, Aston Martin Vantage, Audi R8, Lamborghini Huaracan, Bentley Conti GT, McLaren 570s, Mercedes AMG GT, Jaguar F-Type V8 etc. Sure the i8 isn't as powerful as most of those cars, which is the problem but that is the category it is in and that's the reason they need to stick a V8 or V12 or inline-6 with electric motor into it. Category = £120k+ performance luxury cars.

I always thought the i8 was a very good design and I still do - But I do hope that BMW will take it a step further, apply parts of the new more muscular DNA and make the i8 a full EV (Perhaps they are waiting for better battery technology idk). The hybrid is good for longer travel so it still makes a lot of sense still, but with so many new EV´s arriving and the added fact the i3 being the most sold EV in Germany - it would somehow appear logically to take the big brother to full EV setup. Would mean that the i8 would have much more acceleration performance e.g by 4 individual E-Engines 4 wheel based EV engines - I think the Design deserves that kind of Performance - anybody who ever flored an i3 driving around the 20 Km/H knows that it goes like sting till around 110 ish km/H - in this regard Tesla can and should not go without notice because that is a rocket proven.
- So BMW please consider making a full and faster EV version of the i8 - it is a perfect sports EV layout and could properly be on the roads before the Tesla GT...;D
