As a child, I was an extra in Willow's village and I remember the dog's running through and destroying the crib and all the related chaos ... didn't have to act as I was quite terrified by the whole situation haha
Oh wow
Did Harvey Weinstein hire you?
Lol
Dogs? I thought they were demon pigs
@@MensaGiraffe nope some casting agent lady named Susan / Sharon (I was like 7 and cant remember lolz)
*"Traitor child. I must despise you now!!"*
I say this to my kids all the time. It's a fantastic line.
Brought to you by "Willow remake" series to be shown on "Disney +" this Wednesday
@@air03man Isn't it a follow-up though? Though I do wonder if it follows the plot of the book sequel or not. TBH, I tried to read the book, but I just didn't find it interesting.
i used to call my kids pecks all the time
I love that line too lol
I will call my future children pecks.
*Queen* : "Have you found the child?"
*General* : "We ain't found shit!"
Perfect place for a Spaceballs outtake
It makes me happy that this movie was a lot of people's favorite as a kid just like me.
Same here
I used to quote the fuck out of this movie as a kid lol
@@SantinoCorleon1 I still quote random shit from this movie, lol it’s so good.
@@Killer_Doll415 I stole the baby while he was taking a pee pee 😂
@@SantinoCorleon1 lol😂
"I STOLE THE BABY!" Best line from the movie. I just rewatched this for the first time since I was a child in the early 90s, and I didn't realize how entertaining this film was
Fun Fact: Val Kilmer used his own Armor in the battle sense. He was a member of a Medieval recreating organization (SCA).
@@heyguys4571 your spam has been reported.

Society of creative anachronism!
@@pohjanvanamo That's the one. He is a Duke in the Society.
I didn’t know that, that’s amazing
"Wanna Breed?"
"Tempting, but, no."
Favourite dialogue as a kid from this movie, not sure what that means
It means you get a bot, apparently. The line from that scene that I always remember is, "NOT A WOMAN!???" and it still randomly blares through my thoughts and gives me a chuckle.
I have quoted this line so many times over the last 3 decades!
Quotable movie.
When mims said "I'm scared dadda" got me in the feels. She seemed terrified
Before LotR movies came out, Willow was my go-to fantasy film. Great characters, actors, story (simple, but effective) and a fantastic score. Adventure, redemption, magic, a little romance, humor... it's sinless 😉
Agreed!! This is one those " my " movies.
Loved this movie as a kid. It had a little of everything needed for a great fantasy movie 😋
@Тhе Gаmе Тhеоrists shorts 🅥 "making fun of bots" Then why post it here? Twitter would be a much better venue.
I've always loved this movie. I actually watched it recently with my kids (who are adults) and they liked it too!
It still is. Due to Jacksonisms in the Lord of the Rings movies, I never could watch the whole thing. I have Willow on DVD.
Thirty years ago, we didn't realize or appreciate how balls to the wall, awesome the wagon chase scene was. Obviously a lot of it was filmed for real, which adds the the excitement, and it was frankly so dangerous that they would never film something like this again.
Orange.
The Road Warrior [Fantasy Version]
I didn’t say anything when you sinned E.T. But now you have crossed the line. This is my favorite movie from my childhood
Willow, adventures in babysitting and who framed Roger rabbit. If he ever does Roger rabbit I'm unsubscribing and never watching again. That's a PERFECT movie and still holds up today.
@@ThePrufessa Damn, we must've had the same childhood!
@@ThePrufessa I give him a pass, he very respectfully sinned the princess bride so ik it can't be personal
@@na5567 I know it's not personal. He's just trying to make good content.
No movie is without sin.
Oh my God thank you. I had forgotten the name for like 5 years and I couldn't look it up to show the kids.
Super happy grateful
Commenting before I watch the video, I sincerely hope the late and great James Horner gets a sin removal for his beautiful original soundtrack. Personally, I believe his best composition was for this film, mainly because the music really MAKES the film.
That being said, I’ve always loved Willow. Not only is it a movie where an actual small person/little person/dwarf/whatever you want to call them - plays the main character, the hero, but they’re also not presented as comic relief. They don’t serve as the butt of constant jokes/insults, nor are they called names because of their height. I mean, besides the occasional “peck.”
All in all, a somewhat overlooked but fantastic fantasy-adventure film.
Edit: After having watched the video, I'm disappointed about the no sin-removal :(
This movie was fun, I don't know how many times I watched it as a kid. Shoot I still quote a few lines in the movie from time to time
"out of the way peck!"
"NOT A WOMAN!???"
"All you did was sit around and eat our eggs!"
“You started spouting poetry!”
‘My queen! I have destroyed the castle of Galadorn!’
‘NEVER HAVE THAT DAMN THING DOWN IN FRONT OF ME! HOW DO I KNOW YOU’RE NOT MAKING FACES AT ME UNDER THAT THING!’
I love Spaceballs:)
I always thought his name was Martigan (or similar) and he had the title Mad from his exploits. Since he was acting loony while caged up, it only made sense to a young kid.
I can't belive you didn't sin the part where the village elder throws the apple up into the air, it turns into a bird, and the elder says "Go in the direction the bird flys!" And Burblecutt is like: "It's flying back to the village!" And then you could be like: "Burblecutt would be amazing at CinemaSins!"
Also you should sin me for knowing that film by heart to such an extent that I knew you missed it from memory!
We will not sin you for that, however we WILL sin you for begging for one
DING
Ignore the bird, follow the river.
Willow is in my top 5 favorite movies list. I will forever love this movie.
Me too brother, me too.
Same here!
Same.
Love the freeze frame of the stunt doubles. The Willow dummy looked like Chucky.
the biggest sin was cutting sorcha’s storyline where her dad was the king of tir asleen and seeing him trapped is what turned her against her mum…. & not mardigan. there was more to her changing sides!!!!
It's a shame that this movie didn't receive the hype it deserved, it was fun and whimsical, with the potential to become a franchise.
man I don't think everything needs to be a franchise, this was a great one and done, that said, I'm interested to see what Disney has to say
I remember coming out of the theater and discussing this with a friend. I liked it much, much less than he did. But over the years, I have revised my opinion. My friend was right. It is pretty good.
It has a series coming out on Disney +
There was a nintendo game and a TV series
There were a couple of books in the 90’s. They were not great.
"WTF is Skeletor doing here?"
Honestly this somehow makes Willow a better He-Man movie than Masters of the Universe.
I mean, Gwildor is RIGHT THERE! 😂😂😂
A stop-motion animation of action figures fighting would be a better He-Man movie than the live-action MotU.
Masters of the universe, willow, who framed Roger rabbit and adventures in babysitting were all my favorite childhood movies.
Skeletor: I will crush you from my memories.
He man: Enough talk!
Skeletor: Yes! Let this be our FINAL battle!!
This is one of my all time favorite movies, along with The Princess Bride!
When it came out on VHS, I watched this movie on continuous repeat and memorized every word. I recognized every sin, and they became charm points. At 50yo, you've annoyed and delighted me simultaneously.
As JVCD would say, "Great job!!".
I too am 50 and we have to same feelings on this wonderful movie!!
I’m 15, and I think it’s a wonderful movie!
Man you were hard on this movie 😂 it's not a masterpiece or anything but I think we all have fond memories of watching it as kids.
Omg. THIS film & "Legend" were my whole childhood!
Magic man: "All this expedition needs is a leader."
Me: And a dwarf. And an elf... and some hobbits, two or three humans... 🙂
I watched this on the 80s and the only thing I really remember about it was willow messing up the spells, the way the witch said "willoooowww" as a goat and willows wife saying "I miss you already" and me thinking "well, you better get use to it, lady" as he was leaving. 🤣🤣
This was the movie that got me into fantasy in the first place! Also the reason Warwick Davis is one of my favorite actors of all time.
The child in me hates you for this. The adult in me gets it.
I find it kinda funny how similar willow and lotr are at least at the beginning i mean man characters are small people, willow and bilbo do a magic trick at the beginning of the movie, im probably stretching quite a bit but i feel its there
She probably has to banish the spirit into oblivion so it can't just be reborn in another body.
And ended up banishing her own spirit. Prophecy fulfilled.
Little fact
Despite its modest success and its 2 Oscar nominations for special effects and sound editing (both lost against Who Framed Roger Rabbit? which was made by the same studio), the movie version of Willow has 2 Razzie nominations to its name with Worst Screenplay (losing against Cocktail with Tom Cruise) and Billy Barty (The High Aldwin) as Worst Supporting Actor (losing against Dan Aykroyd for Caddyshack II)
That's great that it lost to Roger Rabbit. It couldn't have lost to a more deserving movie. Roger rabbit was as perfect of a movie as they get. Roger Rabbit, silence of the lambs and godfather 2 are as perfect as movies can get. And I didn't know the same studio did both movies. Heck I didn't even know they came out the same year. I was born in 82 so I probably didn't see either one until after they were both released.
sorry to be a jerk, but i just wanted to point out that there is no question mark at the end of Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
@@mwenvlay look closely, there is a question mark
F*** the Razzies. Billy Barty was awesome.
Saw this movie in the theaters roughly 6 or so times and pre-ordered the VHS release from Suncoast as soon as it was available. I still have the tape and I've watched it with my kids and grandson and they all love it too. Um yeah, I really like this movie.
I loved this movie so much as a kid
Funny he says that about Lord of the Rings. When I first watched this years ago, my first thought was, if they can do this, they can do a live action LotR. My second thought was, if they ever made a movie about Jim Morrison, this (Val Kilmer) would be the guy to play him. But, who the hell would make a movie about Jim Morrison? 😂
Let me consult the bones:
The bones tell me you should finally sin Commando.
Great idea.
"I lied." (Wilhelm scream) Minus 1 sin.
*"You are my sun, my moon, my star lit sky, without you I dwell in darkness..."*
I used this line on tons of dates! Cheesy enough to be funny, good enough to still work... it's a great line, and this movie was full of them!
Mad Martigan: I wasn’t myself last night the feelings went away.
Sorsha: you are my sun, my moon, my star lit sky, without you I dwell in darkness. It went away!??
😂😂
@@hawk66100 It's Madmartigan.
@@zachtwilightwindwaker596 👍🏿
Did any of them call you out on that if they recognized the line? Did you watch the movie as a date? Lol!
Didn't realize Warwick Davis was gonna be Willow again after 34 years.
Glad you touched on defeating Bavmorda with the disappearing pig trick, it took me a long time to get past that at the time, and it probably deserved more sins. Also, I loved the freeze frame of Not Val Kilmer on the slide down the mountain, nice catch. Still a fan of the movie, and I hope the TV show does well.
With addition of this timeless gem to the play list, I’d like to tell the gang from Cinema Sins thank y’all so very much for making the past 7 yrs a complete joy for me. My time on the road as a delivery driver who spent about 99% of each day at work by myself so much more bearable with your videos here, thank you so very much and pls do keep’em coming! Happy 10th! 🙂👏🍻🎉
I love this movie so much. And I absolutely agree with every sin here... This movie was peak 80's camp and cheese!
Drinking game: Take a shot every time someone says “Willow”
I ain’t ending up in the ER today…
*FUN FACT:* Warwick Davis and Val Kilmer met their future wives on the set of this movie. The Davises are still married, but unfortunately Val Kilmer and Joanne Whalley divorced in 1996.
Can't wait for the series that's coming out tomorrow (nov 30th) this movie was one of my favourites as a child and it will be awesome to see the world of Willow again after so long.
How dare you sin my favorite movie as a kid 🤣🤣
When he goes after my childhood movies, I am UPSET, then I watch anyway.
@@vote4mel same.
First of all....HOW DARE YOU for sinning one of my favorite movies. Secondly, HOW DARE YOU call PRINCESS Elora Dannon A BOY. She is NOT a boy. She's a princess. DISHONOR. lol
You tell 'em!!!
Hell, for the first 11 and a half minutes, she was "he", "the baby", and "it". I wondered what was going on.
It was probably just comment bait, come to think about it.
@ВоIuga 🅥 bro you are a bot 💀
And the last thing she wants is a hairy chest!
This is the same guy that sinner The Shawshank Redemption. It’s obvious he has no shame. 😂
Billy Barty says "Universe" as the wizened town elder, and all I can think of is, "Hey Gwildor!"
Kiaya was my favorite character in the movie, she had such a small part but she was so amazing!
Same here! Kiaya is what brings a tear to my eye in this movie 🙂
They're married in real in life as well
@@kennybadger According to the all knowing Google, Warwick Davis has been married to a woman named Samantha Burroughs since 1991. The woman who played Kiaya in Willow in 1988 is called Julie peters.
@@kennybadger You're thinking of Madmartigan and Shorsha, Val Kilmer and Joanne Whalley were married for several years.
@@Elnis888 @Antney lol I was mistaken Samantha Burroughs he met on set as an extra.
"Crass, mass of a grass-ass baby raft" ... poetry. :)
How dare you sir. Willow is a flawless masterpiece.
Watching this makes me hope they do Legend next.
That would be great.
I still love this movie and wondering what the tv show is gonna be like lol!
"No need to check my math"
Of course not. This is indeed a case where the math does not need checking. Very amusing. Still love Willow.
NGL, kinda disappointed you didn't remove a sin for the morphing scene. Was amazing for the time.
I wonder if the narrator of EWW is aware that there's a entire YT channel dedicated to sinning his movie sins, 😁😁
😆 Nooooo you didn't oh come on 😆 this is my favorite classic

It's been so long since I've seen this movie I had completely forgotten it existed until today 😆
Willow is absolutely amazing, and I even liked the game made for it back in the day. But one thing I always wanted to do was to do a Madmartigan counter - and tick it up for everytime Willow said his name lol I bet it is 487,000 times
Nothing will beat Michael from the lost boys lol
Is the village sorcerer/seer the same guy who played Gwildor in Masters of the Universe?
I HAVE WAITED 3 YEARS FOR THIS SIN COUNT!!! LOVE THIS MOVIE!
Like almost everyone who commented here, I will always love this movie! So, I suppose the real sin here is on me for nostalgia and a fondness for whimsy. DING!
One of my favorite movies growing up!
vi esta película, cuando era chica y la adoré, es triste lo poco que fue apreciada.
Wild how there's a whole village of Halflings and enough actors to portray them all.
Representation was cooler back then.
Yeah, representation wasn't just based on the demographics of Beverly Hills. Very few Hispanics and African Americans where I come from
@@kingcosworth2643 I'm so sorry for you.
I spotted at least 3 Time Bandits in there.
It really annoyed me how in that most recent Charlie and The Chocolate Factory movie all the Oompa Loompas were played by one guy.
14:13 No, that little piece of abject terror is what happens when Chucky and the mask of Michael Myers create an unholy lovespawn!
WILLOW IS A HIGHLY UNDERRATED MOVIE
Loved the film, loved your sinning of it. Once again you enhance my future enjoyment of a film I know I will one day watch again!
Seeing Chevy Chase in Willow just made playing six degrees of Kevin Bacon a whole lot easier
Holy shit a true classic
This movie was fun and scary at the same time.
I hope the Tv show will be good.
I hear it's woke willow
Don't expect anything good to go into production for another at least another 6 years, and then, be very skeptical. 2030 ought to be a good year. 2023, not so much.
@@howiegruwitz3173 Of course you do. Someone only has to say, "I think I'll make..." and all anyone hears is tedious, dreary bastards bleating about "woke".
One-note pearl-clutching crybabies.
@@ThatsMrPencilneck2U we can’t just jump the gun into saying that “2030 will be a good year.”
@@Killer_Doll415 I said "ought to," not "will." I'm figuring that I'll be so far removed from anything promoting sci-fi/fantasy in 5 years, I'll miss everything. That's when they'll release something so good it's absolutely life-changing, and I won't hear anything about it.
The part with the army turning into pigs really kinda disturbed me when I was younger.
The reason your college girl friend know all these things is because she was watching all these movies without you because you talked through every movie you watched with her while hitting that dam bell......
Thanks for the video
My mom used to randomly shout “WILLOOOOWWWWW”
Sure, it's no Conan, Beastmaster, The Sword and The Sorcerer or even Fire and Ice BUT Willow is good S&S for the kids! And I'd like to recommend Thundarr The Barbarian, a short lived but a first rate Saturday morning S&S cartoon. There's only 2 seasons with 21 eps and they're all totally awesome!!!
Years ago, I read the movie novelization that includes scenes cut from the film that explain some plot holes. According to the book, the kingdom that Willow tries to bring Elora to is ruled by a king who is Bavmorda's estranged husband. Sorsha had believed her father was a traitor. During the fight scene, Sorsha saw her father frozen and trying to call her name. Seeing what really happened to him and the kingdom was what converted Sorsha.
Also, the book confirms that peck is a slur that humans call Willow's people.
The magic _was_ working, the final time he uses it and she goes through multiple forms until she becomes humans shows that's how it works.
"Concentrate, Willow! Concetrate!" - Mad Martigan.
@@gregorymoore2877 yea after she said she was a beautiful woman lmao
18:23 Same issue as when Gandalf and Sarumon are just zapping away at each other, yes?
This is a great film, great mythology, great action, great humor, great music. There’s nothing I would want added to or subtracted from this film.
The Funny thing is that "Peck" has more meaning as a slur in Spanish (As is a contraction of PEQueño= "Little"). As I have seen the movie almost always dubbed I assumed it was "adapted" to spanish audiences. I'm surprised to discover it wasn't.
I’d love Warwick Davis he was so handsome young I remember my mom had this movie on VCR. She still has it and I recently watched this two months ago. He was good in leprechaun and Harry Potter.

I love this movie, but I'm in tears I'm laughing so hard! You are freakin hilarious! Best channel on RUclips
Ah Lord of the Rings before Lord of the Rings. I ADORE(D) this movie. Had a massive crush on Warwick Davis (the protag).
I was almost expecting the Mumra speech in the outtakes. “Ancient spirits of evil. Transform this decayed form to Mumra the ever living.”
Yes yes yes yes! I was WAITING for that. What a missed opportunity!
Love this movie, watched it so much growing up. Still lovd it with the atmospheric James Horner soundtrack
5:42 then I'll guess you'll love the carnival-scene from Problem Child 2.
I was a teen when I first saw this and I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thinks it didn't make sense, because there's a hell of a fan club and I never got it.

Really liked this as a kid and watched it multiple times,I guess I kept forgetting about all the boring shit that happens in the beginning. I really liked Val's character and the princess Archer lady. I've noticed several times in movies I liked that got sinned all to hell that a good ending and a few good characters can make you forget about alot of stuff. Oh yeah decades and decades of time helps too I guess.
I've never heard of this but Willow is my cat's name.
It's also the name of roughly 50% of female whippet dogs.
This original movie was so underrated, I went and started watching the sequel tonight even tho I only had fifteen minutes to spare. You know how there’s a little content creator that you’ll give a view and a like without actually watching it, just to support them? I just did that in Disney plus, that’s how underrated Willow was
This brought back so much nostalgia but hOw dArE the siNs
Willow, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Adventures in Babysitting and Masters of the Universe were my childhood favorite movies. Roger rabbit being the best of them all. So this will be very interesting to watch.
