Great to see that you have the flexibility of great free camping and low cost powered sites along the way. Love the way you are exploring areas that many drive straight through. This highlights great practical alternatives on the Lap when you have time to explore. Clearly it can be very rewarding. Find a solution to the flies and you might become millionaires on the journey too!
    Great episode.

We’re not quite ready for a hat fly net yet 🪰🫢😆 I’m sure there must be better ways to manage them. They don’t seem to be bothered much by bug spray.
Yes so much to see and explore on the Nullarbor if you take the time ☺️

Yes we haven’t had a camp fire yet on our travels yet. Looking forward to that and yes will certainly help the flies 🪰👍

It sure is an epic drive! Good call on avoiding the storms at the roadhouse. There is a wonderful free camp in the hills just a few kms back west, overlooking the roadhouse.

Yeah the storms went well into the night so we think that was a good idea. Being flexible with dates helps a lot. That free camp sounds great! There’s certainly no shortage of camps along the Nullarbor - we had no idea there was so many.

Great episode guys. Thanks for been informative on your travels. How is the fuel economy on the ranger..

Thanks mate! Fuel economy is great. Been really happy with it - best stretch of 15L and hasn’t hit higher than 20. A lot depends on where we’re travelling - for example we’re just in the Flinders at the moment and there’s a lot of hills. 19L on average. We bumped into 79 series owner with a similar van size and tray/canopy on the car and was averaging 26 L/100km 😬

You’re so right! I think so many people just have their end destination in mind and bypass many of these amazing places. If you can afford a little extra time there’s so much to see and it’s totally worth it ☺️
