It made perfect sense. Sometimes it’s hard to let go of what you’ve outgrown. You want them to grow with you to heal with you. Sometimes we have to live and let live via letting go.
It really is about growth. When I had to walk away, it hurt so much, but the new learnings and understanding of myself was a value that I wouldn't have had if this trauma had not happened. I'm a different person now and know my worth and definitely my boundaries. I don't ever want to go through that kind of healing again--but I won't need to. I will make sure of that.
