It is more than that, he absorbed THE Meteor… if you played the OG, his main goal was to make the meteor hit the planet… That’s kinda of big, if it is what it seems to be.
@@Robert99909no it wasn’t? He wanted the meteor to hit the planet so the planet would send TONS of lifestream to try and heal the wound. He would then absorb the entirety of the lifestream and become a god. How tf would one absorb a meteor?

It would have made the pacing of the end of the game really odd. The temple dungeon was very tedious and they were ready to get to the moment. I’m ok with it.
“It’s upon us” this whole scene gives me chills. I kept having to play it back on my TV because the visuals were some of the best I’ve ever seen on console and Sephiroth’s delivery was haunting. I try to put myself in the character’s shoes seeing that demon just appear right before them in that manner.
@@thatstheway2429 yet we are free too and I'm going to as well. The OG OST is a masterpiece. This area was one of the most memorable. City of the Ancients. The song was made of echoes and it was genius. It instilled awe and fear. This is just flashy.
This version of Sephiroth sure loves a flashy entrance.

He’s so dramatic
His main goal was to absorb the meteor actually, while it hit the planet.@@zanychelly

1:37 This entire scene is just a callback to Remakes Sephiroth entrance
I thought it was straight up the same animation
“You know, I think it is!”
Does anyone have a theory on why they did this? This is the one scene of the ending that I don’t really get why it’s exactly the same.
Cgi is expensive
My god, they actually added “The Promised Land” from AC
It was in remake too, after the first reactor bombing.
@@The_winds_of_changethat was a more subtle theme I’m sure a bunch of people missed.
His entrance in Remake was so good, they didn't even bother making a new one😂.
in ff7 advent children it was called "the forgotten city" as i remembered that
It's supposed to be City of the Ancients.
@@matronmalice9867I think they use both in the OG if I remember correctly
The delivery of “good Aerith. Pray.” Was just perfect. Gave me chills the way he said pray.
Sephy’s VA was far better in this game than Remake.
Not exploring this area was a crime
I'm assuming they are saving that for the third game
We return in this area in OG. So they'll let us explore in the third part.
Let's not forget there is more to come. The true nexus to all this, what's waiting at the northern crater.
It’s so beautiful
It would have made the pacing of the end of the game really odd. The temple dungeon was very tedious and they were ready to get to the moment. I’m ok with it.
He wants her to pray! Holy ain't shit!
Using supernova for an epic entrance, sephiroth sure take megamind's advice on how to be a great villain..... Presentation

Advent children music and location
Sephiroth looks fantastic here ❤❤❤❤❤
Sephiroth really loves suspending Cloud in the air 😂
He’s so pretty 🥺
Please Do This With NO Music
That would just sound weird
They absolutely butchered the soundtrack in demake.
I'd have to disagree personally but I love both the original and remake soundtracks
Nah I disagree completely, the music in this game is amazing
Of all the things to criticize, the music has to be far down the list in this game.

@@matronmalice9867 you’re entitled to your opinion. It just feels like a nostalgia argument.
“Let’s go get our girl” 🥹
Barret has become such a great character. His VA killed it.
