Love the colour on this. Black and white pops nice. Again editing on point buddy 👌keep them coming.
Fantastic review as always. So close to pre-order!!
This is dope. Nice video. Would be nice if they can turn the extra crossfader into a sliding pitch fader for mixing. Would be kool to use 2 of these at gig
this is dope, i can see this being a great weapon , even for parties, i can hook u two of these to a AMX and have fun with serato (vinyl or phase)
Those faders.. great idea with the option to change hands... and the shape is perfect. i think.. color is awesome too
Just put my preorder diwn on a navy one. Looks sick
Still hopeful they will give u a few to sell if so I would beg for a green on my hands and knees lol
Thanks for all the amazing content as always sir
Pre ordered the omni in wine red and also the reloop spin, im pretty much set for a dj portable setup with my raiden rpm-100
nice gear, a pitchfader would be great because i´m looking for portable turntables that i can use for mixing not only scratching...
You probably could use two of these for mixing right? Isn't that what ultrapitch is for? Now I'm wondering because I was going to order 2
Extremely helpful !
Mahalos 🤙🏽
I just can't wait to get this ))))
The reloop has the USB port that allows you to record your sessions. How can you do that using the Omni?
Damn Reloop Spin priced at $250USD, and Omni at $230 (Shipping from HK +$66 or $296USD Total to United States according to the website) Hopefully you can do a head to head comparison. I think it'll come down to how the fader, motor and tonearm feels, Reloop Spin doesn't mention a contactless fader on their website. From what Freddie said, OMNI having the TWO contactless crossfaders (that alternate crossfader turns into a Line fader at the push of a button), a fairly torque heavy motor (makes it sound like its a different motor than what's previously used in portables), tone-arm that accepts different carts (comes with audio technica), an aluminium platter, weight adjustable tonearm, and USB-C power not to mention custom color variants are the pluses for the OMNI, from what I've seen the OMNI doesn't have a handle. Spin has a handle (HandyTrax form-factor) USB-Recording and comes with a 7-in scratch vinyl, looks like it uses Micro-USB for power (it doesn't specify plus their product photo is low-res).
Even though OMNI is a new name, it sounds like the more compelling product just because of the contactless faders, and the tonearm that accepts other carts vs the ceramic tipped standard portable stylus. Plus more competition from different companies drives innovation from all companies. I hope the Spin doesn't steal a lot of the OMNIs thunder.
I tried a Reloop spin with an Innofader and man that is the perfect portable. UNTIL I seen this video. and to they made it even better adding DVS support. Swift says no mods needed so Omni is set out of the box.
@@jsteezthedj What they don't tell you is the DVS app costs $90. The company is shady af. Check my videos in the link above in my comment.
I just got mine and I can vouch for the fact the final version, will still let you use the pitch in 33 and 45, and it's not quartz locked in, which I was grateful for, however the faders do need to be collaborated, and they put out a video to fix
Have you tried the DVS feature out? if so, what do you think?
Where can i buy one? I’m having no luck on my search.
@@ragtimeryan1905 covid times, thats why. They returned in decemba.
Great Video!
Is this a direct drive or belt drive TT? Also, do the screws at the ends of the crossfaders catch your nails?
the Internal rechargeable battery is replaceable when it no longer charges?
Looks like it's gonna change portable game, when does it go on sale & how much is the price
This is very cool. What are those tiny records? I have never seen a record like that. What are they called and where do you buy them ?
Of course Spin is $258 and coming out around the same time of the Omni. Hopefully Omni can pull through
Omni is way better i think. I don't like the tonearm of the reloop. You can't use your own cartridges on it
@swiftstyle - does it come with a cover like the pt01? Hopefully a better one?
Yes. You can see it in the first unboxing video. But they are redesigning it to latch which is why I didn't show it
I turned my 120 pt01 scratch into a 430dollar portable by upgrading fader to jessedea , and a bahari tone arm... I just ordered the omni, thx for a great review, cant wait till it arrives in september.
vdoscanr please share your thoughts as a customer how it feels and performs.
Finallyyy !
i am only wondering; ive modded the numark to death until i found out that the output sucks ass and id need it to sample vinyl too so it has to be atleast vestax/technics QT
Does anyone know how to connect the Bluetooth? I can't figure it out and the manual doesn't say anything about it
can it also play normal vinyl 12" for sampling records for production
same question that I want ask
When will this ship out?
Couldnt hear the measurws/sizevdid he say it or anyone know them? Thanks!
Where is the charger from?
How can we record the mix?
Can the fader be used to cut sounds coming in from the external audio input?
Yes, it can.
Did you find any issue with the faders being slightly lower than the rest of the turntable? When I look at it I get a feeling like my fingers may run into that lip at times.
Not at all. I meant to mention this because a lot of people seem to be worried.
for some the modding part is half the fun.Portablist decks that do not need modding may still get some customization anyway but for many the modding side of it is a big part of the portablist scene
Yah, you right.
I'd prefer a high pass filter as the EQ for "scratch" setting rather than low pass. Why would you want to filter out the high frequencies for scratching?
It's a lowcut
I want buy? How much?..
Hey man, are you going to review the reloop spin?
Definitely
Ordered it but still have not received it. They are having issues with customs from china....ahhhhh
Clean
Saludos García
dope. i've been hearing that the torque is significantly better than the PT01 or ReloopSPIN, especially seeing the difference at slow cuts. @swiftstyle any differences in your experience?
yes, torque is way better.
@@Swiftstyle you hear anything about a carrying case for this?
I'm not too familiar with ultrapitch but does that mean if I have two of these, I can still mix records together right?
Yes
@@Swiftstyle I assume the ultra pitch is based off of 33.3RPMs, so if I wanted to mix 45's, I would have to set the Ultrapitch to about +35 on each deck and work from there because in the regular 45 mode, the pitch adjuster is in quartz mode, correct?
Is there a case or lid for the turntable?
Yes
I got the spin because I've used it before. I worried that the fader sections being lowered would be odd and cause my fingers to hit those edges. I don't see why they did that.
They are the same level as the fader. They did it so 12” records will still work.
@@Swiftstyle My fingers would hit it for sure. They should have made the body type more like the spin for room
Looks nice and i want one, but i just love to pimp/mod my shit 🤘😎
I hope you heard about the Reloop Spin portable turntable
Nice one bro, is it belt drive?
Yes. Pretty sure a direct drive table this size wouldn't be so portable. But the torque is great!
big thing for me is the built in speaker... I got rid of my PT01 as I hated the speaker and hving to carrying about a spare one... just give us a half decent speaker. They're generally not cheap these units so don't scrimp on the speaker. There's a lot of these portable TT's on the market now so having a decent speaker will get you brownie points. I fancy one but wanna hear/try it before I get dissapointed.
After seeing this vid I did some research on this turntable. They added DVS into it. there is an App that runs just like the DVS your familiar with. 335 for all this and no mods needed. GAME CHANGER!
PS, whats the name of that beat at the end of the video?
It's a beat I made for an upcoming project
@@Swiftstyle
Can you share it? I wanna practice cuts to it. Shits dope!
what op \ / diabolo
First of all, nice review! This device looks promising indeed!
Second, probably a noob question:
After having spent a while checking out the Numark PT-01 Scratch and its mods to try and build myself a scratch-able but vinyl-friendly (else dad will kill me) device, my interest on the Spin and Omni has grown so much that it looks like I'm ditching the Numark and deciding on whether to get the Reloop or this one.
I'm more inclined to getting the Omni, but I'm confused about something: Headachesound mention Omni 7'' and Omni 12'', which makes me think I should get the 7 for scratching, but I still want to be able to play 10 or 12 inch vinyls... Do you guys know if that's possible? My intention with larger vinyls is only to play them back and digitalize them or wtv, I'll only be scratching on 7s.
Thanks in advance!
You can definitely play 12"s on the OMNI. This is why the Faders sit at a lower position.
@@Swiftstyle Well, that's great news for me then!
I was not sure about those buttons being in the way, but I'm thinking it's no problem to have them covered by a larger record if I don't plan on using them while playing.
Thanks a bunch!
Is the headshell replaceable?
Yes
When will this be released?
In September
@@dj_g_rebel Thanks man!
Give me give me!
Lol he should organise a give away right?
Wow
Lowpass? U sure? Or low cut?
Low cut
Unfortunately, you got lucky with even the prototype. Just emailed them regarding a few versions I've seen of the Omni. One was a video they've posted themselves recently with two additional arcade buttons on the left hand side, the other is the version you have that's on their website but when you go to the Pre-Order page, it shows the model without the button selectors under the Speed Control and no arcade buttons, just the Ultra Pitch button. I've reached out to Headache Sound and they got back to me saying that the video on RUclips that they've posted with two arcade controllers was a modded model and isn't for sale. The other question about what exactly will be the final version that's coming out and for pre-order was the model as it exactly is on the "pre-order page," that you see without any selector buttons except for the just the arcade stop/start button and the Ultra Pitch Button. I then asked about why they had the model with the same buttons as your prototype has which is the speed selector and the Ultra/ Studio/ Scratch version on their website as well as showing what it comes with when they told me that the final product was COMPLETELY different and without any of those. No reply. I'm afraid that those folks who pre-ordered are in for a very big disappointment. I've kind of caught them on some errors on their website and now they're not responding.
I was really disappointed with my omni. They shipped it in a single box, with barely any protection. There was no real visible damage so I accepted it. But once I started testing it I had nothing but problems. The faders do not hold their calibration at all. Their customer service is garbage. Here is a link to a folder of videos I made showing all the broken behavior. drive.google.com/folderview?id=1AByQjO_5hTFB7Y31Ctx7StPck2gIRvGD
Paco Tuesday WOW! I just knew something was up. Sorry you had to go through that. I ended up going back to full-size turntables.
@@michaelangelo1288 thanks man. Just so surprised at how shady they were being. They made me create like 30 videos. Each time claiming they don't see anything wrong. Then they promised to ship a new unit and they would cover the shipping. Then at the last second they asked if I could solder, because they believe it was a faulty motherboard that is causing the issues. Months go by, no board was shipped. Still creating disputes with American express because PayPal sided with them. Just an absolute nightmare. They were too cheap to double box the turntable being shipped half way around the world, and then too cheap to pay for tracking for the board which never came. So I'm stuck with a turntable that only works for a few minutes at a time at best before the faders lose calibration and it goes to crap. Plus I was able to show how it should work by buying a mix fader and plugging it into the omni. It works perfectly. Just sucks I have to pay another $150 on top of thr $400 just to make this thing work partly.
Paco Tuesday again WOW! After seeing all of those videos, how could Omni even have the audacity to make you go that far! And for them to not have sent you the board STILL is outrageous! Well, all I know is that even in the future, I won't be ordering from them at all.
@@michaelangelo1288 Thanks Michael. I was hoping this was the one stop solution but it turned into a $400 nightmare.
The biggest problem, that I see: How do you scratch with your existing 12" vinyls? The two faders on the body will be covered by the record! So they are useless, if you will scratch with your 12 inches!!! For that reason the Omni is unfortunately no alternative to the reloop spin.
12" vinyl belong on a real turntable. Portable turntables are designed to play them only, like if your out digging for new records. Not for Scratching them, trust me on this.
Thank you, swiftstyle, for explaining. Nevertheless: your competitor provides at least the possibility of scratching 12“, because the faders are placed wide enough away from being covered by the record. I believe, they did this because its not so unusual using a portable device for 12“ scratching ...
yo this things gonna be like a trillion dollars..lol...im only saying that cause since it has everything that you would need to mod right out of the box im sure the cost would be more than say teh reloop spin which is already at like $250 US. i was gonna pick that one up but now i can save for this one which again i know will be more than 250
just saw the preorder. wow...preorder at 230 huh?....shit ill take it haha
Pre-order price is $230 + shipping ($66 to usa). Pretty fair price for the features it’s packing
The faders are too near the vynil
Unfortunately the spin has more features, a better case with handle and a better layout overall. It also is a well established brand, so warranty and part replacement will be of a higher consistency 🤷🏻♂️
MusicMaster1977 you sure about that? The Spin has the same basic platter and tonearm as the handitrax (10 year old design!?)
What do you need a handle on a turntable for?
To upgrade a Spin to what the Omni comes with out of the box, you need about $300-400 in custom upgrades. (Aluminum platter and counterweight tonearm standard on Omni)
Considering the Omni super early bird is $230 + $66usd shipping- the Spin is between $270-$300- the Omni wins both the value and features battle.
@@SuperMutantFerf yeah, maybe you're right. The more I've heard of both, the more I'd get omni.
@@electrickeytar I thought the same thing but I have had nothing but problems with mine. Their customer service is terrible. I've got a folder of videos of all the wack behavior of the garbage unit these guys sold me. I honestly wish I had bought the spin instead and upgraded it. Oh yeah and the dvs app for the omni costs $95. It works like junk as well. drive.google.com/open?id=1AByQjO_5hTFB7Y31Ctx7StPck2gIRvGD
This is so hard to get!
Why not find a sponsor or whatever to make this a worldwide series for every aspiring DJ to put his/her hands on?
I mean, I am not even sure if this will ship in ONE piece, then be notified by the customs here in Germany,
then expect damages from the worldwide transportation...
You see why it is discouraging to order this beauty.
Release or get off tha potty
