I've posted edits for a lot of rare pairs in my time, but this might be the rarest of them all LMAO
I'm not really sure what it is that has me so interested in the relationship between these two, maybe it's the enemies to lovers aspect of it all??
This show is like the furthest thing from romance in the world too, and Richie is kind of an asshole... but he goes through some major character development in S2 which made me like him way more
I think maybe I'm projecting because I've worked a similar job in the past and had a lowkey crush on this guy who was similar to Richie in a lot of ways - objectively kind of terrible but with occasional glimmers of a soft side haha. I think when you're in a high-stress environment / working with someone all the time and they're not pulling their weight, there's this kind of weird tension where it's like, they respect you for actually caring about your job, but don't want to admit it. Even if it feels like there could be something there, there's kind of a distance because you're polar opposites in the way you work. So you don't let yourself even consider it - it's kind of like a forbidden fruit type deal
I'm 26 myself and was like, if I fancy him, then it's not totally out of the realm of possibility that Sydney would too, and in S2 there were a few moments that had me like HMMM?? Like why was she SMELLING HIM lmfaooooo
I don't think they'll actually go anywhere with it, and I don't hate the idea of her with Carmy if that's what's going to happen, but it's fun to consider as a twist.
Anyway so that's where this edit came from - the show itself is fucking legendary and the soundtrack is ace so even if you don't ship them I hope you go and check it out! It's really, really brilliant. I don't totally love this edit and might delete it later which is why I didn't bother with text or zooms, but yeah. I think I could have captured Richie being a badass a bit more. Ultimately I just love these two characters and want them to find happiness in S3! *
It hasn't been renewed yet, but come on. You don't cast Olivia Colman, Jamie Lee-Curtis, Sarah Paulson, Bob Odenkirk, John Mulaney, Will Poulter etc. as guest stars and then cancel the show HAHA

Sydney and Carmy is giving soulmates. Richie and Sydney is giving enemies to lovers and Sydney and Marcus is giving friends to lovers. I love them all. My heart is with Carmy and Syd though, providing Carmy and Syd can heal from their trauma. Those two are end game
Syd's face in the I wear suits now scene is definitely giving, "OMG, is Richie actually hot? How have I never noticed this before?" LOL
These two are such a rare pair that I know will never happen but they’ve got a really interesting dynamic. Plus you edited this flawlessly and I really adore the song choice. I didn’t think I’d find such a good edit for them. Thank you for sharing

They 100% have chemistry so I get why people ship them. I lowkey wouldn't be mad if we got them as enemies to lovers, I'm just hesitant to ship them bc I need Richie's relationship with Eva (his daughter) to have more development first.

Syd and Richie are not just another "enemies to lovers" trope. They are constantly changing, constantly growing on themselves, getting better, more confident, stronger. And that's why it means the world to me that Syd saw Richie's hidden side early on, even though he snapped at her and didn't show his true feelings to anyone. Their chemistry is just amazing, and you made it burn even brighter!

Actually, there are many signals that indicate that they will be a couple, but I guess people don't notice because they are generally focused on Carmy and Sydney. There are awkward moments of silence when they encountered each other or scenes where they stand very close physically. Also, you don't tell anyone randomly "you smell good". For the writers, all the lines are intentional, they are not written just like that. I'm looking forward to watching them in season 3😍

I binge-watched this show in two days and I was OBSESSED with their dynamic. Imagine my shock when I found out they weren't a popular ship lol but that's ok. Even if nothing happens I'm still content with what we have.
But it's gonna happen💜 Yes, fans often hope that Syd and Carmy will end up together since they are both leads and the same age. But I see them more as two friends who support each other. On the other hand, Richie and Sydney are on the same wavelength. They were both prejudiced against each other and they managed to overcome it. Despite the age gap, the hot tension between them is amazing! Even though fans don't want to see this, the couple the writers want to create is Richie and Sydney❤️🔥

You don't see it? This is classic enemies to lovers shit. Obviously Richie's too old for Sydney and she should be with Carmy anyway. But there is an intense chemistry here. Just depends on how you interpret it

I say this from a place of kindness - you will experience more joy if you create and post something for your favourite fandom, instead of spending your time criticising other people’s work.
@@KaoruSan241 I did not say what I said to be mean. When people create MV's then more people find out about different fandoms and they join them. Sometimes you Google the characters names about another fandom might have the same character names so it be hard. I would create my own if I knew how.

Yes! It’s the slower version on their ‘Still’ album, they added the wrong version to the official Spotify playlist which confused me for a while! x
